Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Checked it out....it might be an option for the foam box idea. Its drawing a bit more watts than I would want (140 watts is what the Hydrofarm website lists it at) but less than most that I have seen. Thanks for the idea brother!
I'll bet if you put it on a timer you could find an acceptable on time to keep warm and dollars in your pocket.

Was it something I said?
Or are the Stanks in the bunker?
Hope you and family are well Stanks!

No brother....nothing you said LOL. I Have been staying off the electronic devices while this neck and shoulder issue gets resolved. Plus the garden is in repair mode. We moved the soil upstairs to hopefully cook correctly since it just wasn't producing healthy plants. So right now, I am trying to save the clones of a few strains that are suffering from the soil issue and I also recently found out I have Hemp Russet Mites  .

As soon as I found out that I had them, I culled everything that I didn't want to spend time trying to save. That made my job about 50% easier. Been spraying and dipping like mad for the last week. Bought some Green Cleaner to use to spray on them, and it really seems to be working well. Not seeing anywhere what I was seeing at the beginning of the week. If the cuts are meant to stay around, they will survive the treatments while the soil finishes cooking. Maybe in 4-5 weeks, these will get a clean bill of health and I can do something with them. They are all in isolation in one tent together after they all got major hair cuts.

I have started to pop a few new seeds with differing degrees of success. We have a Super Lemon Haze going, along with a Sour Pineapple, and a weirdly growing SKush from Dominion Seeds that I got as a freebie. So overall, everything is rather quiet garden wise. I have been using this rather warm late winter to start my outdoor veggie garden prep and cleanup which is going surprisingly well. The garden is much easier to work in since we went no-till and are just adding compost. It doesn't get nearly as messy or wet in the late winter or early spring with the compost. I can still walk and not sink in. I am getting ready to plant some Sugar Ann Snap Peas and see how they do. They are supposed to be good germinating in really cool soil. Be nice to be having some fresh garden veggies in June instead of August. We started our pepper and onion seeds today as well. Gonna give the tomatoes another week before we start them indoors.

Getting a lot of the leaves raked/cleaned up as well. Started a second compost pile with all the new stuff we are cleaning up and I have been working on turning last years pile now that its warming up enough to do so. Its looking good but I gotta get some more moisture in there and possibly add a bit more Nitrogen to get it rolling along. I will continue that this week. Seeing a lot of the spring bulbs starting to come up which is definitely a bit earlier than we are used to seeing.
I think we are getting a really good head start on the outdoor garden this year. Wouldn't be the case if we weren't having all the plant issues we have been dealing with this winter. Just shows, things happen for a reason LOL.

On a positive note, I have an extra set of hands around to help me out for the next few weeks. Ms Stank wont be working due to the whole Corona thingy, seeing as all the schools have shut down. Nice to have her around to help with a lot of this spring stuff! :high-five: She still has to work from home part of the time but no commute for her! So I guess in a way we are kinda bunkered down LOL!

I’ve got some Local Skunk from Dominion in the vault. Hope your pain gets better too. I have a patient right now that I’ve been putting Kinesiology tape on their neck and shoulder for pain. Have had good results with that intervention. If you haven’t tried that then maybe worth lookin into. Tape available at most Big retailers or sporting goods store and pharmacies. Videos for application on YouTube.

Hey there brother, thanks for stopping in. Neck and shoulders are still giving me fits......especially with me refusing to take it easy and doing all the spring cleanup. Been taking down a bunch of big trees around the outdoor garden as well as making sure the compost is all ready for the spring planting. Other than that, been trying to make sure the indoor garden is doing well.....which we will give a post update here in a few minutes!

Hey Dynomo.....good to see you brother! Hope all is well with your garden and family during these crazy times!

Happy 420 !!
Hope your better and things working out.
I sure AF miss you guys and your Journaling.

Hey Overlord....thanks for stopping in. Been missing posting.....but I didn't figure I would come back until I had something worthy of posting. Took the break to try and get my neck and shoulders right along with the garden. Should be back on and posting semi regularly (assuming the neck lets it).

Good 420 my friend!

Happy belated 420 day StoneOtter. Hope you and Ms Otter are doing well and staying safe!

Hey all.....just wanted to catch y'all up with whats been going on here in Stankville during the last month or so.

Ms Stank is working from home during this crazy time. Not sure when she will be going back to work but its been nice to have her around. We have been trying to balance getting me healthy and the pain under control, but that only works when I behave and don't over do it.....which well lets be honest, I am a shitty patient. Things are slowly getting better but only because I have been actually laying down to give it a break. But as soon as it starts to feel better, I go out and do work outside that gives me another set back. I have been doing traction therapy on it regularly and it seems to help manage the pain.

Garden wise, things are really improving and getting back on target. I am confident we have all our plants back to growing healthy which is very nice. Moving the soil up to the warmer temps upstairs out of the basement seems to have finished the cook and the plants are showing they are happy with it as well.

The Hemp Russet Mite issue is going very good as well. I have been doing regular sulfur burns and pests have almost completely been eradicated. I will continue to do the sulfur burns going forward regardless of visible pests or not. The plants love the sulfur burns and it has helped eliminate all our other issues.

We recently harvested the Seedsman Blueberry and our Balls Deep strain. They are hanging now......and will be ready for jars in a few days. In the mean time we have been starting our spring crop and have started dropping some nice new strains including some of our own. On top of the new stuff....all the clones we have been trying to save are all recovered and growing extremely healthy.

We flipped the Afghani on April 8th and she is progressing nicely. We followed the Afghani up with flipping the Grandpa Glue and Killer A5 Haze on the 19th of April. Next will be the flipping the Jack Herer and Sour Cherries which are both going great. A full update on the new stuff will follow here in a bit. FLower tent will happen later in the week. Its good to be back to growing nice healthy plants again.:ganjamon:

Glad to see ya Van :passitleft:
good news on the garden brother.
crazy world indeed! were investing in a small but good quality greenhouse for veggies, herbs and berries. Rolling around the idea of a lemon and avocado tree also. I just started taking some trees for the tomato garden, Thinking of renting a chipper and starting my own compost for the garden possibly both veggie and indoor.
Cheers brother:bong:
