Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Pics of Stankberry top colas impressive....building a nice frost coat & showing some early color. :Namaste:
Thanks BL! I am definitely very impressed with her so far. Yeah I saw the color on some of the leaves. I have been letting it cool down at night (mid 60s) in the tent at lights out. I am sure that's helping.

Thanks Shed. One other thing I did this time that I didn't do in previous attempts is I kind of removed the outer skin of the shoot down at the end. I kind of 'whittled' it down just a little...maybe half an inch. I didn't take much off...just the outer layer. Not sure if that helped to root it faster.
In my many many failed attempts to clone I didn't mess with the bottoms. One of the things I did differently when I was successful was to split the bottom ½" of stem. Messing with the bottoms seems to be key!

Wow brother I'm always amazed when I come by your journal. First that stank berry is filling out like a champ and those clones have as much roots as a seedling @ just 8days. Can I ask what secret spray did you make up to accomplish that great feat? Always one of the nicest gardens going.

This is the solution that I use.....and I used 1 teaspoon to 16 ounces of water. I sprayed once a day, mostly the underside of the leaves. I also sprayed the Rapid Rooter plugs daily, but not too much (you want the roots to have to go searching for water), just enough to keep it damp.

Hey OL. thanks for the kind words.

The Stankberry is one of my strains I made. Its a cross of a Blueberry mom with an ATF dad. My thought process on it was a painkilling strain. The ATF is the best strain I have tried for my back issue. The Blueberry is a nice evening med that is the 2nd best pain killing strain I have. I am hoping to create an excellent strain for pain relief that I can use at any time of the day.

She is starting to smell more and more berry like. Not a full on Blueberry, but I do get the scent of blueberry every once in a while. Hoping the smells pick up over the next couple weeks!

Sounds nice, have you grown this one out before?

Nope....this is the maiden voyage! I have a couple more strains of mine to try out after this one. I have Kushberry Thunderfuck (Blue Kush mom x ATF dad), and DTF (Durban Poison mom x ATF dad).

My buddy Blew Hiller is growing all three out right now in his greenhouse up the road a bit. You can check those out there if you want. Hopefully Ms Stank and I will be able to help him with his harvest of them.

I am sure they will all be fire, but that durban cross caught my attention.

The one Blew is growing really looks healthy. I think that will be the next strain of mine I drop (when the Stankberry is done). Should be a killer Sativa that is good for both pain and energy....at least that is the hope. I hope the pain killing of the ATF will merge with the energy and euphoric nature of the Durban!

That was the other part of the test. I took really small clippings. I want to see if there is a difference in the sizes used for clones as well. These are the smallest cuttings I have used to date for clones. So....the smallest and the fastest to root.

Will keep experimenting with different strains and see what I find out on times and how well they hold up. These held up great. Didn't even have any fading of the leaves. I am pretty happy with this experiment so far. .

I would definitely chalk that up to a success. As penny mentioned they look like seedlings. Very healthy.

Morning Gramps! Congrats on your nomination for MOTM again, well deserved.

When are you going to drop a Stankberry? LOL

Thanks! I wanted to already have several, but such is life. I will drop them though...no doubt!

Morning gang! Sitting here catching up on a few of your guys and gals journals. Today is going to a relaxing and easy day (pushed the back too much yesterday). I have to water the Northern Lights and the White Widow and I have to transplant the last Blue Dream clone (she was rooted yesterday evening but the back let me know it was done playing with dirt for the day).

Almost out of my oil capsules so I need to start decarbing some more bud to I can make a batch of oil. Think I am down to two doses of oil left. Also need to decarb some more bud to make some additional topical oil.

@Guy Cavallero do you by any chance still have a copy of my Stank Soil recipe that I sent you a while back? I need to think about mixing another batch up here in a week or so and I still can't access the old Blogs where I stored the recipe for safe keeping (can you say bad decision there?). Sure hope you have the recipe! Thanks in advance!

I hear ya Gramps. I would love to be running my DTF and Kushberry TF as well.....but they gotta wait until the Stankberry gets harvested. Too many strains and not enough legal slots!
