no dont stress an auto, the last thing you need is slowing down the growth, dont defol, dont lst to much, the most id do is pull the plant over only very slightly so i get light to the whole of the plant but i certainly wouldnt use major lst or anything else, the only time i defol with an auto is very late in flower but thats just to make sure the buds get full light for the last week to 10 days just so the whole plant ripens,
its not worth messing with autos, when you defol a plant is stunts growth from 7 days upwards, the last thing you want is an auto stunted, you would end up with very litt,e
autos grow as they are so its best to leave them be, you dont know how long they will veg for so any slowed growth will badly affect yield

Well If they still young I don't see why you can't LST them to get them bushy, But I have never grown any autos so I can't say that you should do or not do, But I have not read anywhere yet that you can't LST autos but there's still a lot on this site I still have to read

autos dont have long in veg so any training should only be slight as it can stunt growth, some strains outdoors do really well but indoors they dont tend to stay in veg long, 2 weeks to 4 weeks at most depending on light schedule, the only lst i do is to make sure all nodes are getting light,
i guess it all depends on strain, but i think lst wont hurt as long as its not to major, be interesting to see how they respong, ive tried lst and defol method and found both stunted growth so during the veg period the growth was not as much as if i had not of done nothing to the plant, but some minor lst just to open the plant up to more light is all i do, ive had some autos start flowering at week 2 and some dont start flower till week 4, but either way they dont tend to get very big before starting to flower

Here are my Medicated views on the auto LST.
I know Ive only seen 2 with my own eyes and that does not a sample size make, but I think autos veg stage is not like the veg of photos. I think the only LST thats too much is when you bend the cola below another top trying to induce the 'new main cola' thing. I think that would stunt grow.
I think the normal veg/flower idea may not be the right one with autos. I tink the stages are Growth and Finish. 3/4 of thier life they are growing up to the light. Ive re-lst'ed my main cola 4 times and she still wanted to grow more. Ill post some pics of my LST turned Scrog to show how I trained this first motha.
Remember, all the DO's and DONTS regarding Auto's MEAN LESS YIELD. Not death(extreme examples withstandin) You can Top an auto all you want. You can supercrop it and it will live and make buds. Any method you do to an Auto will LOOK like it worked because the grow so fast once they start. But you have about a month to 45 days of total life left once she starts growing and there is NO WAY she makes upfor it. Even in perfect conditions yiel will suffer. )

my only problem is it really depends on the strain, ive had autos grown under 20-4 and 24-0 that start flowering at week 2 around 4 inches high, so they just continue to flower after that, so very little can be done with them.
but like the kc45 autos im working with, everyone says autos must be grown under 24-0 and 20-4 else yield will be affected, well ive grown several kc45 autos under 20-4 and 24-0 and i was lucky if i got a 1/4oz dry per plant, pushing 3 x 8ths at the most, so i then decided to try autos under 12-12, my grow room was on 12-12 so why not, i thought id end up with tiny plants, but the plant didnt start flowering till 2 weeks later than under other schedules, it was well over 1ft when it actually started flowering where as on the other schedules it finished at less than 1ft, at harvest i got just over 2oz dry, i got other k45 autos growing now, again under 12-12.
all are over 1ft, one is male so collecting pollen in another location, the 2 females are only just starting to flower and both are just over 1ft at start of flower,
so it seems the kc45 auto preffers 12-12, i just grew a purple cheese auto under 17-7 and it performed very poor, no side branches as such just buds sticking out, i got around 17g dry, so that did poor under 17-7, ill try more strains and see what works best, but the kc45s done a whole lot better under 12-12 which contradicts all the theroies on how to grow autos, i do use basic lst with the autos, i might pull some big fan leaves out the way but not remove them from the plant, i some times sort of bend the plant over to let light into nodes not getting much light, that seems to work ok

Ya its one of those dont over do it things. I havnt defoliated at all, she has been dropping fans to. I think defol would be bad. But I do almost ih I had pulled off a couple lower popcorn nugs off oneor two banches to compare the top swell.
And she seems to really like the nutes which is contradictory. . I think just like all of us, the jury is still out.
I feel pretty comfortable lst and manipulating without too much stress to the plant but I hate to tell someone strap her down and then He breaks the cola.
I guess its a matter of how lightly your lightly is.

I might just buy 4 autos and leave them do there thing.
Some auto results are crazy guys not like in the early days when 1/4-1/2 was ball park
The only thing puts me off is the lack of training. I like to train u see.
I take it you do not own a "TV" nor do u own a "DVD PLAYER" or a "VCR" and u can't live near a "CINEMA"
Or have "NETFLIX" because I was having a conversation about films waiting for ur return to chime in and instead u ignored it. Well pfffftme and u are through you sabatou
