Interesting side story--- IF YOUR SKEMISH, DONT READ
I had to do a 'retrevial' one night about 3 a.m. I got paid $200 cash for pick ups so my phone was always on.
I get to the funeral home about 2 hours from where I started and meet thier version of Spimp and he lets me in. We go into the embalming room and the body is in a body bag (this actually is not the norm). The guy says "Am I supposed to keep the bag? its ours..." As if I knew more than him. After a few mins of brainstorming, I went and got one of ours from the Hearse and came back in.
We moved the body onto a gurny and he unzipped the bag. At least 3 pints of stagnant blood fell the 3 feet to the floor and splashed everywhere. It covered both of us, me to my knees, him to his waist. It was everywhere. These rooms are usually stark white on white on white to show cleanliness and now it looked like someone took a shotgun blast at point blank
We transferred the body and I helped him clean up some, but I have no idea how long it took that poor chap as I had to return.
That was my first solo retreval and I had every mirror on that body the entire way back!! No radio, White knuckle driving.
It was quite funny after it all went down.
The first thing I learnedwhen I came back was that the body bags stay with the body. I was just supposed to hand the guy a replacement and take his. Guess thats how it works.
