Spimps NLxBB Auto Micro CFL's 2013

Define OK? She is better than before, worse than ideal. She is much better than the Autos, and much worse than GDP. I have her listed as 85% survival rate. The autos are 20%. They all should better signs at the growth area, but the autos are devasted everywhere else.

gdp is a champion
:)

Gitmo and Gizmo have a chance, the autos don't.

It wouldn't be worth keeping them alive.

Learn and move on :thumb:

That's what it's all about, isn't it?

I took them no flash so hopefully you can see the "death color" on the leaves.

Its a Travishamockery....

Simp, you are one of the many members I have watched over the last couple of months as I prepared to do my first grow. I'm about three weeks in and have joined up and started a journal. This is my first post outside of my journal. I hope the link in my sig works. This is a test to see if I did it right :)

Thanks carl. :)

Yes top two are the autos. In person Gitmo looks better imo but maybe thats becsue of where she started. Ive counted all three of these as a loss at this point.

Heres just a few of the things that went wrong with them:
Used that bs seed starter crap on Gitmo.
Un-pH'd water.
Overwatered due to negligence. Not just the planter bases, but also watering too much at one time.
Too big a pot for my beans. (this one is all me really cause I watered the 'pot' instead of the plant) Big pot made me think i had to put alot of water in there. It doesnt come out quite as easily...
When the plants showed defic's, Its hard to get the water where the roots are without overwatering big pots with seedlings in them.

In the future, I think i would rather start them in a well draining party cup then transplant. I know I say dont do that, but Im more comfortable with a one time transplant them trying to correct anything in a big pot.
Both Blue and Seymour were grown with a transplant and they didn't miss a beat.
Hopefully someone will see my mistakes and not make the same ones.

looks like N def.. ill get pics up momentarily
I just seen them. maybe I'm half blind but they looked fine to me.

They are overwatered for sure.
The soil mix is roughly 30% perlite, 70% inexpesive (quite woody) planting soil.

I overwatered while I had the cheap plastic bases still on the planter. I didnt notice until the next day so there was little to no runoff. Because the plants are so small there is no way they could drink all the water. I had a fan on them and elevated them to expose the drain holes for 9 days. No growth or improvement.
I repotted adding two inches of 75%perlite under the current soil to hopefully help drain them. I then flushed as the side and bottom area where very dry, yet th middle remains soaked. The leaves perked up a bit after the flush, but they are in very poor condition. Having the main root soaked in water for now 11 days straight.
It was a critical error at a critial stage. If there is abetter way to handle it or something I can do now to help, Your advice is always welcome KingJohnC.
:)
