Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

re: Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

If something I said gave anybody the impression I was saying Growology was misrepresenting themselves, I wasn't trying to. They have always been up front with me about their product line and for not being a certified organic product, it still is a very nice line I do plan to eventually try. I have so much stuff here to buy more may get me a divorce...or something. HA

I didn't get that impression, gf. I've said exactly the same thing dozens of times to dozens of people here, at shows, in grow shops: Step 1 is organic; Steps 2 and 3 are not. So I'm not touchy about it. And for an avid proponent of organic gardening, you've been very receptive to our products.

On that note, I was talking to one of the guys we work with just this morning about some new possibilities for an all-organic line that could solve some of the issues we had with making a product we were happy with. I'll certainly keep you posted about that - we're going to talk more in a week or two. We will keep the non-organic 2 & 3, of course, but we do want to offer a Growology product for people who prefer organic growing. I will also talk to him about your "certified" observations.

Fantastic to hear! I'm going to PM you with a product you can take a look at...it's what I use now, but is not a sponsor so in a journal, maybe shouldn't put it here.

Good bud day to you Spimpster :passitleft: I just got 5 pounds of yum yum from the mailman,

thanks again for this soil ingredient, seems to be working quite well for you.

I always start w a little less than called for, I'm the guy that would double it & be sorry a week later, lol.

Re: Spimp's 150w hps Bubba Kush grow: New and improved with less Ghetto!

I think you could certainly do that B A R. Your plants are already getting humic acid and a lot of NPK from Growology, but the other ingredients they contain may make a qualitative difference that you like (taste, smell, etc.). I've never done it myself and would be curious to hear your thoughts if you do. So short answer: shouldn't be a problem.
OK John of Growology. I've already started on a couple of plants & from now on will place them in their own post on all scheduled feedings in my Journal, 2.0 as a record of progress.

Re: Spimp's 150w hps Bubba Kush grow: New and improved with less Ghetto!

I used biobizz grow, bloom, and topmax. I mixed them in one container because I didn't feel like measuring each out lol. now I use a fish fertilizer which is an all in one deal.

Do not mix your concentrated nutrient with each other ever, this creates a nutrient lockout in the bottle and prevents the plants from being able to use the nutrients.

re: Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

Good Weed everyone! :ciao:

BK#1 was topped this morning.
BK#3 is starting to make me believe she could be a he. All 3 were germed on the same day and the same way. They popped thier heads within 12 hours of each other. But BK#3 is not wanting to produce any side branching like the other two have. She is also growing vertically faster than the others. But she is also the 'mutant' who's first fan leaves were quite deformed. So it is very possible her vertical growth is to get more area, through fan leaf production, for photosynthesis. Only time will tell.

Trans Siberian is off to a good start. :) She is not stretching much and her fan leaves are bigger every day. I expect an explosion of growth in the next week.

After some research, and a very nice bit of Advice from Relaxed Lester, I will begin the flush on Sour Diesel starting today. She has swollen and filled out very nicely. She is stinky, sticky, and trichome's are a good mix of cloudy and clear. Also the trichomes have 'mushroomed' showing they are becoming more mature. She is currently in day 62-ish from flower, and I expect 7-14 days until chop. Depends on how long after the flush she starts to 'autumn'.

Hope everyone is having a Green Spliffy Day!

Looking forward to the chop Spimpster...

Not quite sure I understand what you're talking about King. Can you elaborate?

In my experience all mutants turn out to have balls:rofl:

Was talking about this of course

Not so DaTenshi. My girl & Spimp's God-daughter KUMIKO IV is a female mutant close to finishing. But you did say in your experience...

re: Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

high Danny :passitleft: happy day, my NoLie, started mutant, very strange leaf shapes on first 2 nodes, then, no space between 2nd & 3rd,

I topped her, she liked it and started to be normal after I cut her.

TGFLB , for lady bugs

re: Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

Hi trichomes :ciao:

Ladybugs are wonderful. But so are moth's. Unless you find them in your cannabis. I read some of your bad luck with the hawk moth's (from earlier this year) last night after puffing some Blue Dream. :lot-o-toke:
I was entertained to say the least....

Moth at 6:05 Sprayed the Sniper Hose but missed

Had hose ready at 5:55. No hawk moth til 7:05. Missed again.
:rofl::rofl:

re: Spimp's 150W HPS Bubba Kush Grow - New & Improved with Less Ghetto!

lol, turned out that those big ones do not harm canna, all my efforts spent on those huge hawk moths, I'll just call practice.

They prefer tomatoes and they lay their eggs in soil, not on sticky. It was still a very proud moment, the day I nocked on down with the garden hose on jet mode, then I was able to tackle him before he recovered from the knock-down. The video of his final moments is NSFW & way too graphic to be shared here.

GF informed me they are 420 safe, that video I posted in my OffTopic aka OT & your OT-lounge, is the same moths, I shot it this year.
