Or may be I should leave the fems to veg until i'm back for a total of more than 6 weeks ????

Here we love autos too ;-)

California Snow day 37...

I gave the autos their first "bloom" mix today (biothrive bloom+bioheaven) . I just sprayed everything with biothrive grow a few drops), you can see on the pic it has dried,: now it 's time to spray clearwater and get rid of those white stains. It was especially for the fems though.

Thanks for watching!
see you !

edit; unexpected change of page on this journal, just reposting a pic of my last post for memo, thanks

Day 37 for the autos, day 24 for the fems, day 16 for lemon hb:

0037-003.jpg

The smell at the extractor output is so strong and sweet.... incredible... i think i am going to inhale the extractor pipes all day long !
I must absolutely buy a filter now :-/ (extraction 4 or 5 feet away from neighbors....)

Aaaaahhhhhhh
The rabbit food pellets my buddy swears by a mix of those and the biotabs gorilla tabs first he uses the paths throughout the soil then when they run out he uses the tabs til the end because you can dig them up before he flushes. I got some free ones around here as well haven't tried em myself yet. It says you can use them by sprinkling them on top of the soil as well. Not sure how it'll work with a drip feed system. All mix has enough nutes in it for like 3-4weeks.

I'd like mine to reach 1 meter or so (bigger than my autos). I will use the biobizz all mix, but where did you find the information about the duration of the nuts? i did not find the info on shop descriptions.
The Plagron Royal mix looks great too : )

I will continue to use the liquid nuts for this session, The BioThrive line has been pretty awesome so far, and biobizz lightmix is a great substrate, but next session will be with pellets and/or prepared soil, it will be easier and less messy than liquid stuff which begins to be a pain to mix each time...

Nice photo and beautiful plants.:bravo:

This is what I found aptus also has a download page but wanted a email address and what not.
Aptus All in One 100gr
Aptus All in One is a 100% natural, slow-release product which feeds plants up to 3 months.
Applications last about 10 to 12 weeks and can be replenished for longer growing periods trough transplants.
It has been specially formulated with macro and micro nutrients, amino acids and bio-stimulants for an optimal development of the plant during the 12 weeks that it will feed the marijuana plants.
It is designed to minimize the stress of cannabis plants from the growing environment, such as pests and other pathogens.
Ideal for use on indoor or outdoor growing, easy to manage with the only water supply throughout the crop.
Application Method
Mix with the substrate before planting , 25g per each 12 litres of substrate or 100 g per each 50 litres of substrate for crops of 3 months.
Add All in One during the transplants hole directly in the hole or distribute All in One above the substrate.

Does that mean that they are already root bound or is it to reach 1 meter high?
Anyway, looking good as always!

They are around 40/45 cm now. I feel that I must change the pot of the bigger ones because the pot is almost dry 1 day after feeding them with almost 1 liter of water. So if the pots dry that fast, it probably means that there is not enough soil to retain enough water to feed the plants, and that there is roots everywhere...

Watering etc

I have bought 3 extra water pumps. So I have 4 now. 1 will probaly be used in the other box. 3 will be used for the main tent, with various pipes for each plants. For example, 1 pump will run everyday with 1 pipe per pot, another every two days with 3 pipes per pump. The 3rd pump will be used to add 1 pipe here and there. The aim is to give the max of water without overwatering and leaving a chance for pots to dryu a little bit before next watering...

Here are some calculation according to what I water the plant now;

Autos: 1.5 liter a day = 2 plants = 3 liters * 10 days = 30 liters
Fems group 1 (big ones): 1 liter every 2 days: 3 plants = 3 liters * 5 days = 15 liters
Fems group 2 (small ones): 1 liter every 4 days * 2 plants = 2 liters * 10 days = 5 liters
Lemon HB: depends on size on day before departure

So all in all it is around 53 litres, that can be optimized to 40 liters over 10 days.

I would say that the ones in the 3L non spiral pots surly need a transplant. That blue dream has a few rolling leaves so she's really really ready. If you want plants that are about a meter tall I would switch asap they are gonna double in height if not more mine have they are now 65cm tall from soil 30cm at switch and finally have started to focus on flowering.

They have really bounced back from your holiday looks great man.:goodjob:

Thank you for your answer! It makes sense. At around what level do you keep the humidity inside your tent?

And yes, optimizing the water amount isn't a bad thing, especially when you go on vacation! I like the thorough analysis.

Btw, do you use tap water? I looked up the chlorine and fluorine levels of my water just to be sure because I read that the later one could be dangerous for the plant.

Keep up the good work!

Ok guys, I hear you.

The thing is that I was obliged to repair my other COB led panel as one fan doesn't work anymore. It is a systematic problem with that cob (roleadro rebranded). The guys at the shop have not been able to repair it in 15 days (it's summer). the original fans can't be found (it is 2 fans connected to 1 single cable, it sucks when one fan still works fine).

Equivalent fans (80mm 12V 0.15a) were sold out last month, but I received compatible ones today at last.

So this evening, it is soldering cables of pc fans to try to repair the roleadro cob....

Thanks! no i don't use tap water at all. I use a bottled water from volcano source. According to studies, it is the less polluted available. Not only it is free from anything like cholrine and fluorine, but also from traces of pollutents of medical pollution (chemicals, molecules etc). It is also one the cheapest available at this quality (1/3rd the price of a big brand).

It is also the poorest in terms of minerals and has a PH of 6.5 that can be used straight "out of the bottle", and sometimes I add 10 drops of PH Down. Sometimes, during pre-flowering, I mix it with another water which is rich in cal/mag/sodium, but I do this a couple of time only (may be 4 times in 2 weeks).

I've used tap water to fill half the tank last time, and some leaves were yellow, but probably because of N deficiency rather than chlorine. Anyway, since then, they have completely recovered. There can't be chlorine excess with the water I use.

Practically, it is sport: it means going to the supermarket and getting 2 or 3 * 6 packs at once in the trolley (18*1.5 liters = very heavy). storing them etc. At the end, it is probably expensive too, but may be less than an osmoser. I probably pay between 15 and 20 euros per month for the water -1.5€ a pack of 6*1.5).

I flush with tap water though, showering each pot in the bath tube, and finishing with a full bottle of that mineral water i am using :-)

I am the only grower I know who does this, 99.00% use tap water, 0.999 % have osmosers, and 0.001% is me ;-)

If I had more space, I would use a tank of tap water (30/50Liters ) that would sit in a dark place with plenty of time for chlorine to evaporate.

There is also the 8L britta filter, but the filters are super expensive and must be changed often otherwise they actually release stuff rather than filtering them out.

At around what level do you keep the humidity inside your tent?

I like it better when between 40% and 50% all through. 55% the first 2 weeks may be. 42% all the way is my target (nothing scientific, i find it sexier than 41 or 43 :D - seriously i think it's to avoid spores and pest that develop better above 42% for some.

It also depends on the height or locatioon in the tent. Today, it is rainy outside: I read 74% at Blue Dream's feet, 38% at 60cm from led panel on the left side near Cali Snow, and 61% on the right side slightly below Aya's canopy. The humidifier (plant feet level) reads 76%.
Also, not sure of the accuracy of all my sensors (some are old etc).
What is sure is that there are a lot of variations.

I have slightly too much humidity on the floor now that I have an intraction from below my window. it is great when it is hot, less when it is humid. I would prefer to see 50/55 on the floor and anywhere around 35/45 elsewhere. i've had very dry % sometimes, like 23% for several days/weeks (very dry air where i live).

Wow I talk a lot ;-)

Blue Dream, day 29, 3.5 liter pot. Ayua's purple and washing machine are the same or even densier.
Soil is Biobizz light mix + BioThrive grow + occasional root juice.

It was about time!
I wanted to try Plagron Royal mix, and i've been advised to use Plagron's Batmix because it is more adapted to flowering due to the bat stuff and less N and more P (or K, i never rememeber).

I could only do 3 today. i need more soil and drill holes in 3 containers.
Aya's purple at the front, Blue Dream at the back.

washing machine transplanted. The GSC (middle left) screams to be transplanted asap!

until tomorrow.

beware! Bat shit happens!
needed to mix the soil by hand to break pellet. It is very different texture than Biobizz.

The usual mess, makes you love autos. i've cut a few bottom leaves.
042-0047.jpg

I used 5 * 1.5 liters with good doses of nutes today, and I have only 1 bottle left for myself.

Transplant could not wait (thanks for heads up!) soldering the fan will wait a few days.

To save on water I will try to find the right dose to get some water drained out in cups below pots, that will be sucked back by the soil progressively. A more even water distribution should last a few hours longer. 1 tank will have to be outside the box.

need to relax now
.....:joint:....:ciao:...

Day 2 transplant

Almost everything is transplanted. The pots for Lemon HB and Furious Candy are ready, but I wanted to give both a chance to grow more roots in the next 1 or 2 days. So the old pot is still there. I've put something at the bottom to avoid growing roots in the new soil.

Flowering will begin this monday.

043-0047.jpg

The autos should go in the other tent once it is cleaned and lights are repaired. But I think only 1 can go there. Or may be it is the Lemon HB that should go there and grow for another week (to flower next week). What is sure, is that the fems will soon need space.

043-0049.jpg

Aftermath....
043-0048.jpg

The best would be to prepare all pots at once at the begining, and store the ones that will be used later, in the dark in a closed bag, waiting to be used. This would make the filling process much easier... filling the side is really messy if you can't do it outdoors.
