You should definitely try and visit India! It's Chaotic but it's a "Good" Chaotic.

I studied Jazz Music and was taught by many teachers who're from different parts of the world, and pretty much everyone felt like they were in a different planet once they got the feel of India lol. Some of them never left!!!

Himalayas is a lovely place, and so is South India. You can't go wrong no matter which place you choose to visit.

Yup, right now I'm just "practising" on bagseeds and once I'm well prepared, I'll start with my Autos.

Day 37.

Alright so the plants are doing pretty good, I think they're a bit slow in this organic potting mix, but they're looking good.

Here are some pics

The leaves have become bigger and the plant has started becoming a bit wider.

I'm thinking of trying out some LST and topping?? Maybe at least on one plant? Just for the learning experience...

So here are some details, first they have the true leaves, next there is a set of 3-fingered fan leaves, and after that there are 4 sets/nodes of full 5-fingered fan leaves... their height just over 6 inches tall, I'm guessing they're old enough for some LST and topping?

If I can LST, should I do it before/after watering?

Quick update, after a good amount of research I made the decision and I've LSTed Plant B last night, the top has already started curving up. Here are some pics:-

I continued by topping Plant B this morning and I've also just topped Plant A.

So I've got two methods going now. Plant A is topped and Plant B is topped+LSTed

Now let's see how long it takes for the side growth to begin/speed up !


Plants 1,2,3 and 4 just couldn't survive... don't know what happened. Anyways, I've got more seeds germinating... lol seems like I'm having a perpetual germination scene going on! Lol . anyways, more details on that later.

Also, just to note.. it's been very humid here, it's been raining everyday and it's been pouring down.. so humidity indoors is like 80-85%!

Plants are looking fine though, I guess coz they're South Indian Sativas.. they feel pretty much at home. .

I would say they are ready to be topped/fimmed. Have a look on YouTube for details on the very best way to do it. I actually screwed up topping/fimming with one of my plants, I actually don't mind as I can compare the difference in results at the end of the grow. The plants are looking great mate, keep it bro !

Day 41 guys,

So it's been 6 full days since I watered my plants, day 7 goin on now.

Soil has almost lost half its weight in water, the slow release ferts in the soil are doing their thing... slowly.

The plants do look good though, I think they could go without a drink another day or even two perhaps.

There has been signs of side growth starting to begin, now that both plants are topped. Check it out:-

The leaves are nice and green, and pretty thick to the feel.

So yeah, I'll just let it be and probably water tomorrow or the day after. Do you guys agree? Do you see any signs that the plant need a drink?

Day 42

So the plants got a drink of water today, the soil should release more nutes now, and I'm gonna start watering my plants a bit more frequently now, maybe every 2-3 days, which mean I won't wait for the water-weight to drop to half.. probably water the plants every time I see say a 30% drop in water-weight. I'm beginning to get the feel of this, so soon, I won't be using weight as a reference. .

Another important thing to note is that the bulbs I'm using right now are low in power and are not throwing enough juice for the plants to really get going, so growth will be a bit slow till my main LED arrives... HOPEFULLY A FEW MORE DAYS!!! Freakin Customs clearance takes forever here!!

Anyways, plants are looking pretty much the same, not much to report, I'll post pics once I see more side growth happening..

Alright so the plants are looking really good, and the side growth has also begun! The plants seem to be drinking a bit more water as well.

Yes precisely... just can't wait to get these plants inside the box with the 320 watt LED... way more juice for the plants plus all the reflective material inside will really get the most out of the lights!

I just realised; right now I'm temporarily using four 30watt led bulbs.. but their actual draw is about 7 watts!! Which is a total of about 28-30 watts.. and the plants are still showing decent development.

I'm happy to see the plants doing pretty well so far, even with poor lighting.. I guess I'll truly be able to see the power of the new LED soon!

Mine are absolutely flying now, I have a 300w LED, a 450w LED and a 130w CFL in my tent, I added the 450w LED and the plants are maturing like mad.

Yours will leap up and really bush out when you pop that LED in mate.

Those are some really inspiring pics!!

Hello Hello!

Everything is Set!

Here are some pics :-

Grow Box -

Here's a pic of the inlet setup - I've attached a cpu fan to a cardboard box and I cut holes on either side of the box. Then there's a aluminium ducting hose coming outta the cardboard box and straight into the bottom of the right wall of the grow-box:-

There's plenty of fresh air being pumped inside so it's all cool.

Temps are about 26-27 degrees Celsius with the lights on, humidity is 50%

Everything is light proof.

Now let me talk about the lights...

Holy shit it's bright and very intense! I'm looking forward to see how this affects my plants!

I've got the lights hanging 2 feet (24 inches) above my plants, and even then it looks intense! I'm gonna watch carefully for any light-stress.. but I'm guessing 24 inches is pretty safe? Do let me know if I may need to go a bit higher!

Anyways, I'll post an update as soon as I see an explosion in growth.. my fingers are crossed so hard I might've have dislocated them!! .. LoL
