South Indian Sativa LED SOG Experiment

Just so hard to tell with the blurple lighting. Personally I'd flush for a week and let the calyx's amber some more. Everybody has they're preference, chop now get more of an energetic, in the head high or wait a bit and get more of a body buzz. It's your call, there isn't a wrong or right answer here.

She looks good either way.

Wow... I don’t know what to say! lol thanks man, all you guys have been really helpful sending me all sorts of positive vibes and amazing tips and tricks..

Can’t wait to harvest, dry/cure and vape!! (I’ll probably smoke a joint or two occasionally.. but I’ve been vaping for a couple of years, and it’s amazing how u can “unlock” certain cannabinoids just by selecting different temperatures.. that’s some custom fine tuned shit right there... and I’m a very custom kinda guy lol...

Stay tuned guys!! Just a few more days to go!!

So what Vape unit do you like?

Guys... BIGTIME UPDATE!!

I went to water my plant today, and I noticed this:-

Now, the branches got so heavy that it snapped right at the node!! But thankfully this has happened just a day or two before I wan gonna harvest... so what I’m trying to say is... I just finished Harvesting today!!

Here is a pic of the plant chopped at the base:-

Here’s a pic of the plant once I cut off all the buds from the branches (some of the remaining fan leaves are still intact) :-

Next, I trimmed all the fan leaves and kept only the parts of the sugar leaves which had a little bit of crystals on them, everything else is trimmed (notice all the trim material right at the top of the pic) :-

After that, I converted my grow box into a drying box, by removing the light and using clothes hangers and some clips:-

A few small buds which remained I used a box and some string:-

And Finally, here’s a pic of the soil (I cut it in half from top to bottom and opened it up like a flip-top phone) :-

If u look closely at the soil... you’ll see lots and lots of tiny hair like roots all over!! These fabric pots are really amazing, great root growth.. really thin roots but extremely dense!

Now... as far as the weight is concerned.. after trimming the buds, the wet weight was a whopping 521 Grams!!!! Which means after drying and curing it should reduce to about a quarter of the original weight right? Which means I’ll probably end up with 130-150 grams of dried and cured bud!!! Damn!! That’s shocking!! My expectation before I started growing was about 30-50 grams of dried bud... this is a crazy surprise!!!

Right now the buds are soft to the touch and have quite a while to go before they get a bit crispy.. once they do, i’ll Jar them up and the curing will begin!!

Guys... all of you (old and new subscribers of this thread)... thank you so much for all the support, encouragement, tips and advice!!! I’m sure I couldn’t have accomplished this without all of your combined help!!! I hope this journal gives hope to other newbies!!

I can’t believe I was able to get such results with a local landrace which is not genetically engineered blah blah blah... I do have some interesting autoflowers which I will start growing in a few months... (need to take a break!! I’ve been growing this single plant for almost 160 days!!)

Once I decide when I’m starting my autos, I’ll definitely contact all of you and let you know!! I hope ya’ll will help me out again!!

So what’s next?... hmmm.. I’ll update u guys once I feel the buds are getting a bit crispy.. need to make sure there isn’t any mold formation etc etc. will do my best to keep everything in check.

So..just a couple more updates and then i’ll Share with you my Final Dried and Cured Bud Weight!!

Till then....

Cheers guys!..... and Stay Tuned!!!!!

Great looking harvest and a very nice job on the trimming. Congratulations.
Put a fan on in the tent and keep the humidity low if you can. Should take about 6 days to dry depending on how dense the buds are.
Don't wait to long to start the autos, you don't want to have to start buying weed again. lol.
I look forward to the dry weight and the smoke report.

Thanks bud,

Since it’s the same grow box, the ventilation is still there, and the humidity is under 50, so it seems fine.

I’ll start the autos once I’m back from my holiday, so I’ll roughly start by end of next month.. as far as me running outta bud.. I doubt it.. coz I vape approx 1-2 grams a day... and if this bud I’m drying now end up being about 130-150 grams, then I’m set for almost 2.5 months, and that’s plenty of time for me to grow an auto in the meanwhile..

Thanks for following bro!
