Sorenna's - 2015 - Strawberry Blue Reveg in Soil under Mars LED

UPDATE: Louise - Day 35

Hello everybody.

My lil lovey, Louise, is doing okay. She hasnt grown much, but with her infestation, I didnt really expect her to. Ive been pulling off caterpillars for the last few days, except for today. Maybe (fingers crossed) I got them all finally. Theyve really done a number on her leaves. They are holey and damaged, but I think they are still usable to her. She less pretty than she was but she is still gorgeous in my eyes.

Its almost time to water her again. Tomorrow, I think. She will still not get any nutes yet, just water. Im a little surprised not to see any deficiencies so far.

Here she is...

Yall have a great one.

I've been awol for a bit and I cannot believe how much she has grown! :jawdropper: Sorry about your 'pillar problem. I hope you got all of those little suckers. Tony will get the chop today. I will harvest the remaining ripe pollen and then see what she does in re-veg. Maybe she'll be pretty like Louise! :circle-of-love: :high-five:

A few damaged leaves won't hurt anything overall. Sure a good thing the 'pillars don't breed like mites. Two summers ago we had a huge infestation of them in our poplar woods. By the time they were done the trees looked just like they do in the dead of winter. They regrew their leaves before fall but only about half of normal. They were pretty bad this year too and along with thousands of grasshoppers had a field day in the garden. Ate some of the onion greens down to the ground and same with the carrots. Letting the chickens loose in the garden helped to keep the 'hoppers down but they won't eat the 'pillars so there was a lot of squishing going on. :)

I'm sure Louise doesn't notice her wounds and they sure don't make her look any less lovely in my eyes. :thumb:

Hi MagicMediwana. Lovely to see you out and about again. Yes, she has grown leaps and bounds! I look everyday for pillars. I find they are easier to spot just after lights on and under the LED lights. Under regular light, they are exactly the same color as the leaves of the plant. Grrrr. I havent pulled any off of her in the last couple of days, so maybe!

Congratulations on your chop. How exciting! Ill be watching to see how she does. And Im sure shell be beautimous!

The girl still looks awesome even after the pillars Sorenna. Can't wait to see her keep growing and hook you up with some amazing bud!

Thank you, shadowmoses. Let me just say, Im ready for some of that amazing bud. lol

Wow. I think I might be VERY VERY upset if Louise was stripped entirely of her leaves. lol Where I live the grasshoppers are bad every year. This year Ive even found a few in the house. Hate creepy crawlies!

Im cooking supper right now, but Ill be making up an update in a couple of hours.

Shhhh... Shes still sleeping for another 1.5 hours.

Tip-toeing through. Be back later.

UPDATE: Louise - Day 40

Hello yall. Man, 5 days already?? Back to school sucks when you homeschool. lol Ive been a wee bit busy, but its starting to slow down a little now. I hope yall are all doing wonderfully.

Now to my lil lovey, Louise. She is doing pretty good. I havent pulled any caterpillars off of her in like 4 days now, so I hope thats over. I did see another freaking miller in her leaves again. Of course, I turned it into a wet spot in a tissue, but plainly Im going to have to remain vigilant to stave off any more larvae attacks. Ack. I despise creepy crawlies.

I gave her some water about 3 days ago. She sucked it up like I put her in a desert. Shes already feeling a bit dry, but shes not as light as she could be, so Ill wait another day or two before she gets any more water. Im still not giving her any nutes, but Im going to have to start I think. I know yall will probably think its too soon, but I altered her light/dark periods to 12/12 this morning. I flipped her. Its so hard to know when to flip. Space is my main concern, not timely buds in my jars. There is only X amount of vertical space and weve been here before, Louise and me, I remember how lonnnng her branches got last time. She is about the same size as Thelma was when she started to flower. I know Thelma was an auto, but Im just trying to give yall some scale. Pictures just dont quite do it. haha I even think she looks like Thelma this time. Its strange to me.

Anyway all is okay in my tent. Louise is recovering nicely and (hopefully) the millers and the 'pillars are eradicated.

See yall next time!

Looks great Sorenna. I'm in the same boat as you on space haha. I completely understand. Can't wait to start seeing her swell up :) .

You and me both, Shadowmoses. Its almost as exciting just that Ill be online when she flowers this time. haha

Louise has a lovely shape. 6+ strong branches for budding.

I support your decision to go to a flowering light schedule.

Let the show begin !!!

Thanks, Radogast. I like how she looks this time. She is far more bushy, even her color is different. Its hard to explain but the leaves are greener, much less yellow. I think thats odd. Why would the same plant look so different? Techniques, I guess. I super cropped her this time. Last time she was topped. She had a SWICK last time, this time she doesnt. (May start that back up now that she is all vegged out) She had more nutes last time. This time shes only been fed once and she didnt like it. Its interesting the comparisons.

Hi, Pigeons.

Soren's, she's gorgeous! You must be in awe! :laughtwo: Who would have thought? It must give you pause as a parent to see the correlations to this youngster and her amazing transformation and your own children as they grow into themselves.

Homeschooler, huh? I called it "unschooling". I was very partial to self-motivated children and calling everything - and I mean everything - "school". I wanted to raise shepherds instead of sheep. It worked out well for both of mine. My BSEd came in real handy. We had a cousin of Dale's who was liscensed in PA and did my evals every year.

I live a blessed life. I'm fully aware of the significance of that.

This is so interesting. I started for bed at 2:40. :laughtwo: The whole area went black over an hour ago. You'd think I'd go to bed, wouldn't you? Haha! We'd all be wrong there. Here I sit at 4:24, still visiting friends. I don't get over here often enough anyway.

:passitleft: In a better world this would be in real time and we'd be sharing my Cheese Candy. Hope for the future, Baby!
