Some Old Guy's Soil Grows

How old is it?
33 days under 18/6 autoflower right? It was the lagger behind the other ones that are twice as big in the big pots. I made up a 10" pot, next size was a 10 gallon bag and I have other plans for that. I'll drench it later and transplant it into the 10" tonight or tomorrow morning.
Tot: If that works out and does ok expanding into that new pot perhaps I'll get a good growth spurt and she does great all the way thru, I'll do it again. Solo cup them till they show pistols, for autos at least. This auto transplant is tricky right?

Hello SoGnot, beautiful plants and sick training. I’ll be tuned in for sure.

As far as I knew, don’t Autos need deep pots? I was always under the impression that autos will self-limit based on the depth of the roots so yeah I agree with the above - not a good approach at all

Welcome HL, SoG some old guy ;)
The tot (thought) is a glint in a dark room, I took a gamble to think that the black cat was not in the dark room when it was lol
These were baggie seeds with nothing but the strains for a name. For my first grow on autoflowers I didn't do enough research before hand on how to handle them and I transplanted after I learned to put the sprouts in the final pot.
The bag said Skywalker OG Kush and just one bean thinking it was a regular photo period (fingers crossed it doesn't herm) I had a spot open but it was so slow getting up compared to the others I left it in the Solo cup figured I damped it but it just wasn't falling over. Then I pulled out the MG..oh yes. It picked up after a couple oz and some dry time, boom. I hit it with the spray bottle a bit and then another dose of MG a couple days later. 20201022_185211.jpg
With the others

Lessons learned from experience before hand and I could probably had been flowering a couple weeks sooner. I am only transplanting it because it's an autoflower and that's my main thing right now. The others idk yet

I think that my and Hyperion's point was based on the that you were going to do autos this way from now on, and neither of us thought it was a good approach:

Of course, that is contradicted by this:
I learned to put the sprouts in the final pot.

So it just leaves me confused about your thinking!

Oh sorry, no I wont be transplanting after this, I paid good money for the others, I was just bouncing ideas to get a positive out of this. There's enough precedent and my own first hand experience to never do it on purpose.
My drain bamage has my short term memory in a loop like 10 second Ted sometimes.

12 hours after transplant and looking good. It never even dropped and was pointing up for awhile. Still sweating because it's a female auto.

My LST is taking the abuse and responding with more growing and filling out, I'm chasing down leaders for the top.

The Fim is stretching more and I took off a few leaves covering lower node branches.

I had to rearrange my grow room due to the regular plants I had sprouted from bag seeds. One turned out to be an auto but it's small.
I'll let the photos grow for another 4 weeks at least, they're 5 weeks old now and no signs of sex showing. I have another area to turn them at 12/12 if they still haven't sexed by then.

I managed to score a humidifier for next to nothing cost wise. I took down the swamp cooler and removed the sponges I had set up on top of the lights and the humidity hung around 50% with the new DH on the low setting.
I have it turned to the high setting right now, I'd like to stay above 55-60%. I'm noticing how quickly my pots are drying out and the level of humidity dropping. I had this issue before but less regulation of the growing area.

Had a slight heart attack, I had switched my soil moisture gauge to the light setting and was checking my bags and all off them were dry. So I start weighing and the LST was way down (due today anyway) so I setup to saturate it got quart or so on it and checked the moisture again..nothing. lol I'm an idiot.
So it held all but a cup of a gallon of straight ph 6.4 tap water.
I changed something, I was watering and instead of putting a screen under the bag I just left it on the catch pan to sit. I noticed water kept running out of the sides and collecting in the pan so I kept watering slowly and halfway I went to go get another cup of coffee and when I got back all the runoff was gone from the pan. It wasn't deep enough to cover a quarter when I left. So I watered the second half and runoff would drain and then disappear again up until that last cup and it wouldn't suck it up. I left it for 30 minutes and then weighed it, back up to normal plus some and it dripped maybe a tablespoon once back on its spot on a rack. I checked for saturation and its like it should be so I'm hoping I am good to go and I can eliminate sitting it on the screen.

I did some minor trimming and more training which I think is about done. If I keep everything training down will it ever get back up and stretch? The inner areas where the lower branches are have so many flower sites and the secondary branches are reaching up and stretching past all the higher points. This picture is before I trimmed it, bushy AF right?

Yeah they're going on cruise control. Now that I have these photos a cloning opportunity arises that will have give me some expansion and upgrade choices perhaps. To live in a legal state and not having any public availability like other states. It's all corporate! Hey I like McDonalds every once in awhile, but I'm sure Fkn glad there's Wendy's or Hardee's or Chikfila or Bob's Burgers out there..even Sonic has tots.
Now I get "Cresco" Gelato oil cart .25 grams sold as .5 gram for a 100 bucksand get the privilege to stuff some corporate investors pockets for fresh terpenes?
I don't mind the state getting their cut, they need it and we've always believed it could fix a lot of shit if it was legalised/decriminalized what TF ever. Two days after it went legal you had retarded potatoes asking about when their roads was getting repaved! JFC! I was more concerned about expungement of criminal charges and convictions for weed than the money..Illinois just did $100,000,000. In legal dispensary sales in September. Y'all mawfs in these surrounding states point your fingers at our state but you run right over for the flowers like hippies from the 1960s heading to San Francisco! LOL

I have some bag bean photos that I am limited with right now, dammit. I was wondering if I let them go another two weeks if they'd be worth flipping to flower and try an harvest them in another eight weeks on 12/12. Theres a flowering auto in the back corner but here they are right now. There are two plants in each pot.

I have flowering autoflower plants in the same space. I can separate them if need be, I'd just need some light proof ventilation dedicated to a separate area nothing major. I would rather enclose the autoflower plants and run the lights longer but either way my autos still need more than 12 hours of light right now. @013 Do you think I can get enough stretch to make it worth while flipping these photos? TIA
To add, they're on 18/6 right

If you have the headroom I don't see any reason to flip yet! And you can build a baffle-box that will block the light from your ventilation system. A cardboard box and some extra pieces of cardboard inside to block light but allow airflow.
Thanks, I'm going to let them go then. Might as well the autos love the long light and if the others starting showing flowers on the photos I can go from there.
I had another snafu this morning and snapped a top off one of the photos. I have these involuntary muscle spasms and one hit me while I was top watering with my spray bottle. It sounded like a carrot and was a sharp clean break, the fix was not successful so i removed it shaved it a bit hit it with some rooting powder and stuck it in solo cup of water. Its comes as no surprise I guess we all have it happen once and again.
So I grabbed a couple pics of my tomato plants outside and we had snow showers the other day

Crazy right? I've pulled 20 quarts of tomatoes off this one plant. The smaller two are cuttings off it. Half of the big one is fallen over it's like 8 feet tall. I used the same mix of soil on this as in my grow. Just dug out the soil and replaced it and used regular MG garden nutes.

So I checked so measurements and I have 65" inches from the floor, I have them 18 inches up off the floor right now so plenty of stretching room and ultimately the autos will finish long before. The logic becomes clearer.

Perplexed here, I have a pot that I saturated with a gallon of phd tapwater mixed with a couple diluted ounces of a calmag supplement recipe I picked up here. I haven't used it on anything else so I'm good on the other pots. Whatever it is it started low and was moving up the plant.
20201030_190704.jpg

I'm gonna self diagnose here and say I had too much of the calmag sup in that saturation the other day.
20201031_114830.jpg

It was/is hitting the main plate leaves starting at the tips and going backwards towards the main stem. Chaulking it up to an over dose, hoping I didn't cause a lockout somehow and sentence it to an early death. I'll hold off on any of that till later.
My LST and Fim are rebounding from some super cropping and defol but are still low. I haven't adjusted them for a few days. These Bruce Banner autos are a new animal compared to my first White Widow autos. I'm at 8 weeks since sprouting hoping they take off soon.

Going back I think that cheap blurple light I used on the BB sprouts had a large part in the lack of vigor they have shown. I only had one pair of Mars 600s then and they were flowering my finishing WW grow. The bag beans are flourishing under 3 MH600s compared to my "2000watt" full spectrum high performance "blurple" unicorn.
