Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

Everyone and everything look awesome there.:bravo:Those small babies need to take care of.
Blue Dream - Day 56
Chemdawg - Day 57
Panama - Day 57
Amherst Sour Diesel - Day 49
Auto Fast & Vast x Master Kush - Day 22

I don't think my mood was very good this morning until I got a look into my tent. There's just something about the color green that is so soothing for me. My bowl of Jack Herer certainly helped. I love getting high. When I'm finished with this post, I'll do another bowl and take a shower. I have been very tense while Hurricane Matthew stomped through North Carolina.

Yesterday's activities included topping of the FV x MK and removing the mystery seedling to a solo cup. All the classic girls had a thinning underneath and most of branch ends were trimmed on Panama, Chemdawg and Blue Dream. Mix was just water with 1 tsp Epsom salt.

I still need to dig that calendar out and try to determine when I'll put these in flower. I'm thinking two weeks or so but it's dependent on the clone growth. Just out of curiosity, I'll look around for 3 x 3 tent.

Auto Fast & Vast x Master Kush - Day 23

Apparently today is a transition day of some sort. It is distinctly colder here following our recent storm. Skies were clear yesterday and again this morning. The stars were amazing as I sat on the deck with my coffee.

Then I got to see my babies and they continue to warm me with their beauty. Quite a few families are without power as reported by my service provider so I am very thankful that I'm not going through that.

I'm impressed by the progress of the clones, particularly the first 2 Panama and Chemdawg cuts. The important clones are the Panamas as I only had the one seed and I'll want to keep those genetics. I'm hoping the high will be top shelf.

FV x MK has impressive new growth following the topping I gave her a couple of days ago. I may actually take the top two fans off so the light can get some deep early penetration.

The little seedling is ugly and my camera apparently didn't want to get a good shot of her. Odds are in my favor that I could get a better photo if I really try. Have a great day folks.

Mystery may be an ugly duckling now, but one day she will be a glorious swan! You must believe! :blalol:

My notes have a blank hole where they should tell me what seed this is. My best guess is Crazy Miss Hyde but it could be Dark Devil. In any event, she will be a beautiful girl soon. :bong:

Good Morning Mr. Magic.

Hope you have a wonderful day. Take time to stop and smell the plants. I'm sure the girls would love a little whispering in their.....leaves?

All of them look great.

:cheertwo:

Thanks....I hope your day is wonderful too. Whispering. Yeah, I'd think they would love some whispering.

So every day is different. The temperature dipped to 46 F outside this morning so I got to check my heating system. All is good. :;): Of course the plants get lower temperature which I think they enjoy. Humidity remains a challenge inside my home so the dehumidifier gets to run.

High water and flooding persists throughout Eastern NC from Hurricane Matthews and many families are without power. I can't imagine what these people are going through so I spend some time praying that conditions soon improve and being grateful for all the good around me. The stars were clear and beautiful again this morning. Carolina blue skies will be in abundance today.

Everything in the tent is performing in green goodness. I'll get all the clones out today for a proper inspection. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep some of the clones in veg while others are flowered.

Enjoy your day folks.

Your plants are looking so lush and beautiful! I hope you can figure something out with the clones.

My heater kicked on for the first time as well a couple days ago. It was right after I woke up. You know how it can have that "something burning" scent as the dust and such in the vents burns off for the first time? Well my nose smelled it and I went nuts running around the house looking for the source, screaming at my husband to help because something was burning. To put this in perspective, a few months ago my husband left a pan of bacon grease on the stove without turning it off. I smelled something burning seconds before the smoke alarm went off and walked down my hall to see an entire wall of my kitchen in flames.
:jawdropper:
Thank goodness I have fire extinguishers around my home. Just one minute later and there would have been no stopping it. As it was we just had to replace minor things like the exhaust above the stovetop, and I need to paint my kitchen cabinets still. A miracle that was all. So anyway, when I smelled "something burning" from the heater that morning, I had flashbacks and full PTSD anxiety until my husband pointed out it was just the heater coming on. :laughtwo: And this reminds me to get another fire extinguisher for the new closet. Just in case. Maybe another smoke alarm as well.

Re: Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

Do you have another way to keep light on the ones you don't want to flower? If not, what time are your lights on/off for flower? Maybe put them in a window to get sunlight in the lights off section. Hybrids might need 14 or more hours. Your Panama should be good with at least 13.

Maybe take them out at lights out and put them under a desk light at night for a couple of hours extra to give them enough.

Sent from this funny device I carry around and still call a phone even though I hardly ever make calls with it.

Seedling pictures can be so frustrating. :laughtwo: Morglie may have a good point there. If you put them right inside the tent flap you can wisk them out in a flash and pop them back in with so little disturbance it shouldn't disrupt everyone else, don't you think?

I'm glad Matthew didn't cause you too much grief. Our hearts go out to the flood victims.

'sorry that I giggled a bit. I am reminded of the time that ..... I tried to grill a pork shoulder while drinking some type of adult beverage to excess. Yes, get the fire extinguisher and another smoke alarms goes well with what we do.

Lights on here at 6 am and runs to midnight. I'll flower them 6 am to 6 pm. I have another MH Mars II 900. They sent me replacement parts. I've just been extra lazy and haven't repaired it.

The simple solution is to get another tent. All things considered, that's probably how I'll roll. :bongrip: :bong: New photos to follow...:thumb:

Oh boy, flames and alcohol... :laughtwo: I once learned to eat fire. Hands down putting that flaming stick in my mouth was the scariest thing I ever did and I was a thrill seeker in those years so that says a lot. It took trying to jungle flaming balls that was my undoing though. Alcohol splashed on my face and the flames jumped to it immediately. Fortunately there was only minor scarring. I'm good with staying away from alcohol and flames now. Juggling too.

If you're just trying to keep clones alive, you wouldn't necessarily need a whole tent. They don't need a lot of light for maintenance-only purposes. I've had clones and bonzai mums in a small cabinet with a 2-bulb T5, fan, and 2 intake/exhaust holes before. They did fine. They weren't winning any records for fastest growth, but they were perfectly healthy. You could just throw a couple CFLs over them instead of the T5, keep them pruned, and put them pretty much anywhere.

I took most of the young ones out this morning to get a feel for the weight of the pots. While they were out, I got some different pics so you can see them better and I can study them. I like to guess what might happen if I take a leaf off here and there.

Mystery Seedling. She really is ugly.

Good Morning MJ, took me a few minute to get caught up on your journal. Looking very good as usual. Ole Pam just towers over the others, I'm still sitting back here being silent, waiting and waiting .....

Heart goes out to all those having problems with Matthew, lets keep them all in our thoughts and prayers....

Ole Rooster1 strolling a few yards this a.m.

Whaddaya think causes that warping and twisting when they are young like that, Jim ? I have always thought that it was a light stress thing. Just curious. hey man looking good. Later

Ladies are looking great MJ! I've been out for a while talking care of my patents so I'm just getting caught up on some of my journal subs.

How are you feeling about the KIS nutrient pack amended soil? Your plants look great to me! Have you been supplementing with AACT teas? I'd amend them again with a top dress when you flip them.

Who knows about this one. It was hiding in the side of a pot that I transplanted a clone into. Then it must have taken it more than 20 days to germinate. Stress is likely.

Looking sweet in there Jim. I've just said on beasts journal not to worry about an ugly seedling, they normally turn out to be the best smoke. :passitleft:

If it lives, I think it will be some wild weed. :bong:

KIS nutrient pack and second run soil. I'm a believer that its a good product. I have Bushdoctor microbe brew and a new air pump. I haven't even considered amending with a KIS top dressing. I did however run into a deal on some EWC which can be employed. We shall see.

Good to have you back doc!
