Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

I'm also going to try Dry Sift Kief Making 101 (the cheap, lazy-grower way)

I ordered the screens last night so the big brown truck ought to be here next week. Way back when it was fairly common to get hash. I have fond memories of a glass sitting upside down on my table.

Wow that looks REALLY easy! I can't wait to see how your attempt goes. Hash is one thing I've never messed with. It always looked too time consuming and messy for my taste. I could see trying this though. No muss, no fuss.

:thanks:

I forgot about this Jim. I'm definitely trying this before I try an expensive press.

It's time to :thanks: all again for dropping in. It brightens my day to see your presence here.

Here's something that has attracted my interest for a few months. I have two of the classics that have already developed 9 finger leaves. In my mind, the greater the maturity of the plant leaf: the flower should have a greater degree of maturity which would be manifested in larger and denser buds. Trichome development should be fuller. I guess I'm just dreaming here.

Timer didn't come on this morning when I went for my pictures. I do admit to having my hands near those controls yesterday but I'll clear and put the schedule in again.

I put 2 cuts from the cloner in mix and in solo cups. They'll be grown out in the solo cups unless I make a new decision. While trimming the suckers and stuff from underneath last week I took one cut and put it in a cup of water and promptly forgot which plant it came from. I cut the stem again yesterday, dusted it with Rootone and stuck it in a coco coir pellet. I think it's ASD so we shall see.

I have Sugar Mango in the wake n bake bowl this morning. This has 5 month cure and is sweet and smooth. Bang on good head high too.

I wish I had a scrog for Panama....she's going through some type of growth spurt here. I do like to let them go uncontrolled a bit and I almost always have too much in the tent. Oh well. I'll smoke another bowl and think about this ish.

Have a great day folks.

Timers, ughh! The last grow I did a few years ago had to get chopped weeks early because of a combination of power and equipment failures, including a timer. It was very frustrating. Sometimes I envy outdoor growers not having to worry about these things, but then I think of all the things they can't control and have to deal with and it seems more of a fair trade. Still, stupid timers.

I've grown things out in cups too because I couldn't bear to chop them but didn't have room for anything larger. LOL. Sometimes it's worked better than others.

Yep MagicJim looks like Pam wants to really spread her wings and cut loose. :adore: by all means let her gooooooo....... Rooster1 heading back to his yard to post todays pic's. Your girls lQQk'n mighty fine,:goodjob:

I had to come over and watch you raise this Panama, Jim.:slide:

Heheh, did I say it was a vigorous strain?

One very interesting thing about Ace's Panama is the way it sets solid thick buds at the nodes, all down the stem. And it has nice strong stems, too, so they're easily supercropped when it's young. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'd squeeze and bend any leaders down until you flip. You want to strive for both tops and productive stems with this one.

:Namaste:

[Edit] I forgot to note the obvious - they all look mighty fine under your expert, seasoned care! :thumb:

Welcome Graytail...When I was looking at Panama this morning it was apparent that those stems were getting thick. I'm seeing a few experimenting with SC and the thought flashed through my mind. There's only a little brain matter remaining to stop the thought from passing so I'm glad you mentioned it.

I guess I'd better pay attention to what duggan has SweetSue doing over in her yard. Thanks for the complements. :high-five:

The big girls got fed again yesterday. Mix was 1 Tsp Molasses, Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. Clones got molasses only. They're loving life this morning. I could not be happier with this grow so far. It amazes me how beautiful they are.

These really have been easy and I'm gaining confidence in my mix. Time to thank KIS Organics again for their nutrient pack and Baccto for its Professional Growers mix. Eventually, the final test will be the cured product. My first generation mix is in clone pots and cups.

The tent is getting full so I took a slightly different team shot this morning.

FV x MK is doing well and I'll top her fairly soon. This is such an interesting cross and who knows what this baby is going to be like. I'm impressed so far.

So I can report that I attempted to super crop Panama on two stems last night. I didn't quite break whatever I needed to and they promptly sprung back. These stems are stronger than train smoke.

Admittedly, I was pretty dabbed out all day yesterday.

Older clones are growing and filling out. The newer ones still need a bunch of care for the root penetration. Two cuts remain in the cloner and one is in a coco coir pellet. I didn't take a picture of the cuts, but the leaves are vibrant so I really expect to see roots soon.

My wake n bake this morning is Pineapple Express auto (G13 labs). I had forgotten how good this high is. :goof:

Have a great day folks.

I feel like I've forgotten something important to report but I'm high. I need a shower and then go to phone store to see what's wrong with my phone. First phone I've ever had to die while under warranty. Lucky me.

Lucky you that it's under warranty. That doesn't often go the way of the consumer. Make it a nice one Jim.

The girls are looking great. I think you have a winning soil mix going there. Well done. :high-five:

To get the stems to smash you first need to roll it between the thumb and forefinger to soften up the cell walls. Just keep softening it up every time it won't smash. Eventually it will. Sometimes it helps to squeeze with both hands. Keep working at it Jim. You'll get it. If I can do it, I know for certain you can.

Enough pressure and I guess the cell wall will break and that will be it. I'll keep at it.

OK so I walked back to the GR with a "can do" attitude and broke a stem completely off. Well, I pinched the stringy piece off and stuck into a cup of water. I guess I'm not using the correct technique. So I said short version of Serenity Prayer and zipped the tent. I'll smoke another bowl and think about this.

Your plants look so beautiful!

*Crosses fingers and prays* Please, please, please let my soil mix grow plants like this!

:rollit:

I'm looking for lots of success from my fellow cat lover.

Looking fine in here Magic man....:circle-of-love:

Hiya Dennise. It's so good to see you around consistently without some type of episode. May your health continue to be good.

:circle-of-love:

Phone problem from this morning turns out to be the charger. Chargers are not covered under warranty.
