Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

Blue Dream - Day 34
Chemdawg - Day 35
Panama - Day 35
Amherst Sour Diesel - Day 27

:thanks: all for visiting. If you have questions, please ask.

We are basically beginning week 6. I will be feeding Foxfarm's Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom at half strength as scheduled. I have their Microbe Brew product and it will be added this week. In any event, the mix will be aerated to help feed those roots.

The girls got straight water yesterday and I pinched off 4 more branch ends from Panama. This made a nice salad for me. I also checked Blue Dream for root completion. They will be up-potted in the next 10 days.

Panama was leaves up this morning and she really has been a pleasure to grow. I have some more pruning and LST for all of them scheduled today. Chemdawg is so compact that I keep putting off working with her but they all need to have plenty of bud sites when I throw them into flower. Time to get with it.

Lots of pruning happened yesterday. I also took 2 cuts from ASD and I have them in a cup of water until I can get them to the cloner. I pruned 6 branches of CD, 4 branches and 2 suckers from ASD. ASD has a super pepper taste.

So now all of the classic girls have all the tops I think they need. I'll leave them alone for a while and see what develops. Most likely I'll just be removing suckers and doing some strategic defoliation. Did you know that a defoliant is sprayed on cotton a couple of weeks before harvest? It's done to aid the mechanical nature of the harvest.

Meet the new baby: Auto Fast and Vast x Master Kush. She's in her final home, a 2.5 gal plastic pot. She actually came through the soil late yesterday. This is result of a friend's breeding project.

Have a great day folks. This year's vintage of White Widow is in the grinder today. It was harvested in Jan and jarred in Feb. I assure you it has cured to a premier high. Oh it's so much better than the first harvest.

Have some: White Widow :passitleft:

Panama cut 1

Ok, so I've lost my mind I guess. I'm not going to have enough room here for this grow. Maybe I will.

I checked that one Panama cut in the cloner and decided to move it to a 1 gal pot. I needed the cloner space for one of the ASD cuts I took yesterday.

So I went to the storage building and got a pot, cleaned it and filled it half way with Foxfarm Ocean Forest. Now this complicates my life because I'll have to have a supply of straight water for the two different soils. My kitchen and bath room already looks like I'm a water prepper. Here's how it went.

As soon as I got this out of the neoprene collar I dropped it. It fell from waist high to the kitchen floor. The longest root was broken off.

IMG_431513.JPG

I planted it anyway and finished filling the pot and drenched it.

So I'm skipping church this morning and I missed the men's breakfast. I'm full of coffee and I think I'll smoke my second bowl. Life is good.

Don't mind if I do Jim. :passitleft:

I was just gifted CKS White Widow seeds from a friend and I have some regular seeds of WW x Blueberry from another private breeding project. Sounds like the makings of a grow next spring after my vacation, doesn't it?

I find it so satisfying that you've gone from a wet-behind-the-ears newbie to a man with properly cured jars of bud to choose from. :battingeyelashes:

Excites me too. But your grow.....Your grow! Man, you really are rocking that high brix. I'm almost convinced brother. I guess the only way to really know is do it yourself but I'm relying on your grow to send me over the top. Thanks for stopping by Stage. Hope the mom's back is healing.:volcano-smiley:

Stop dragging your feet Jim and jump right in. You know you want to try it. Once you do and see how simple the process is and grow just one of your plants in that soil you'll be sold. You'll be asking yourself why you waited so long. I'm finally at the point where I'm questioning my decision to run two different soils when the kit works so well? The cost shouldn't be holding you back. You can call it an experiment.

Hopefully she'll be fine. They're marvelously resilient. Enjoy that second bowl. It's time for my first THC capsule and a shower. It's a rainy day here. A lazy rainy Sunday, off to a great start by strolling through your lovely garden. Thanks for the treat. :hugs::Love:

Have a wonderful day my magical companion. :kisstwo:

I still cling to Newbie status. But a good cured bud is all I was looking for when I began this hobby/passion. The first WW made Jack Herer top dog in my cabinet. That's why I look forward to having all these other strains.

Swirl the broken root around in your coffee. :nomo: At least it will make you feel like you gave it some usefulness in life.

Thank goodness you didn't break the stem or the top off. Yes, life is good. :battingeyelashes:

I went back and looked for it. I think it might be squished in the sole of my shoe. :thedoubletake:

Watching Stage and Noob....their grows are very convincing. Nis just started too. I can wait.

I'm really having a bunch of fun with my mix and the Foxfarm nutes. The owner of the nursery wants me to use more FF products. He's run a successful nursery for about 40 years and only started using FF a couple years ago. He bent my ear for 20 minutes last time I was there about the quality of flowers.

I also have some interest in making some tea. I've had that compost tumbler since early this year and it's been cooking and is so rich I'm sure. I toss a banana peel in there almost every day and I don't eat all my raw cannabis.

She'll be ok. There are 3 more cuts behind her although one doesn't look that healthy at the stem. I changed water in the cloner this morning as I didn't like the smell.

Beautiful Jim. You have me seriously considering Panama for my next seed order.

Had to say good morn MJ. :passitleft:
Quoting my good brother TheBlaze, I am slowly coming around to the idea of
running landrace strains in Doc Buds kit.:thumb:
My 1st time smoking herb was in 1975. The strain was called Panama Red.
My best friend Noodles had an older brother who had returned from Vietnam and kept some in a shoebox in the top of his closet.
I must feel that high again.:tokin:

:thanks: That made me go pull up the song from the 70's. A nice memory back in time.

My best friend returned from Vietnam with Cambodian Red. To me it was the best I ever had up to that point. Sometime in the early 70s I had some Panama Red and Colombian Red. I'd rank that all about the same.

Back then though, it was all good smoke if you had something to smoke. I have to believe that this Panama will be better than all that in the past.

I'd like to see you running some landrace stains in Doc's kit. :thumb:

I hear ya Brother! :thumb: I started back in the late 60's/ early 70's and the weed back then was something else! :woohoo: I too remember Pan Red, Red Bud, Skunk and several others that you can't believe unless you were there. :hippy: Good times back then......it'll never be the same!!!! :trance::dreamy::peacetwo:

Auto Fast & Vast x Master Kush - Day 2

Lazy day here except I'm going to jump in the shower soon. I was met this morning by a growing group of little ladies and I get just a bit excited by new ones. I think the Classic team has gotten all the pruning they will get...although my finger nails don't hesitate to clip off something.

P1 is going to green up in her new soil I'm sure. Note the yellowish new growth as these cuts have only had the water spray for about 8 days (I think). I should review my last clone grow to see what I did right.

I have one more FV x MK seed in paper towels that might get planted today. We shall see.
