Solo Grow Challenge 2014

My three babies went into the flower tent this morning. It just feels so wrong sending them to flower when they've only just got their 1st set of leaves. I'm wondering what effect a full bloom spectrum light will do to their growth too. My poor poor babies

So many people are concerned about this...I have a friend that DOES NOT VEG beyond 7 days from the time the seed pops the soil...He has 3 1000w lights in a small room less than an 8x8. He produces massive yields...granted he also transplants from solo cups to 5 gallon potters too lol...But still...

what he does from seed...no veg time!

Yup that's what I do. And I get a 2 to 3 foot plant each. No veg only by mistake by not timing clones right lol

Edit. Didn't notice u said seed. Yea it works better with seed I got 4 foot plants. All plants from seed take a month to mature so its like veg in flower for the first month. Works out good.

Suddenly i have an overwhelming urge to visit St Paul's Cathedral....

So this no-veg actually works does it? I always figure the veg stage was needed... I'll have to try that out.

Well the general thoughts behind vegging are larger plants = larger yield, energy savings, no VEG nutes etc..And a few have great success doing so, but it does not always work that way. I veg in 5 gallon planters and DO NOT transplant into a larger container when I move to flower...simply because at the moment all I have is 5 gal planters. This is changing though as I am dropping down to 3 gallon in veg and going to a 7 gallon in flower, or 1 gal in veg and 5 in flower, haven't decided yet lol. I have friends that grow 8' plants in a 3 gallon plastic bag, transplant from a 5 to a 10 gallon with no better yields than what I get without transplanting. The idea behind transplanting is allowing roots to have somewhere to grow to when in flower. Regardless a veg room is still a must if you intend on cloning to preserve a certain strains genetics...

Its all I did my first year growing. Had max yield of 2.5 oz per plant no veg. Depends on size of pot how big plant will get really. And tbh I still don't veg more then a few days or 2 weeks at most. I find it a waste of time vegging a big plant when I can just pump out clones whenever. Instead of 4, 3 month vegged plants. I do 12 or 18 smaller plants. More work but I enjoy gardening :)

They could be busy, at work, in an orgy, asleep, dead, travelling through space or lost in the middle of some uncharted scrubland in the desert in New Mexico.

Give em a few minutes lol
