As u can see,super skunk is coming along really nice,those really small buds are starting 2 fill out a bit more since last pics.top leaves are bleaching on both plants,has been 4 awhile.so I decided 2 move the light up 2day,I just wanted that light as close as poss 2 make sure lower nuggets get a decent amount,but super skunk is almost touching the light now so up it goes (the light).I've a feeling super skunk is gona be the bigger yielder,an I def won't be taking anything of that plant till harvest.water/feed them yest morning.so until next update,keep it green people

Just wanted to ask If you had made any progress cleaning the bulb up? You might need to turn it on and use the heat of the bulb to help you clean it off :/
Sorry this happened to you, I Run in a enclosed hood, kinda makes it to where my bulb cant get smashed or broken.
Also, How is your dog my friend? Have not heard anything new here.

Thanks m1.dog is going grt.I've been stoned all weekend so let's just say the dog has been relaxing aswel,he's even looking back out again so all is good.I've just switched the light on after cleaning it,plus scrapping that crap of with a knife,an it seems 2 be working OK,lesson learnt,make sure ur fully awake and with it,b4 opening ur tent and start messing about.u wana see the massive hole in carpet,priceless

I was planning a night on battlefield 3 folks,instead I'm doomed 2 this getting a PIC on a mess thing.this is more stressful than planning ur 1st wee grow, (only kidding).either its this tablet,or its me::

Hey friend! The white buds or bleaching is caused from having the light too close to the plants, Actually you can get up to 2 1/2 foot of penetration with a 250W HPS, just because it looks like some are getting more light then others its because they are, the light intensity from a HID bulb bows out like an arc,
Still many growers get good yields from using 1` or more 250W lights, I would raise the light no more then 2 feet from the canopy however you should aim for it to be a bit further away during veg and a little bit closer during bloom, this will help the budding process kick in as the sun gets closer throughout the summer
Don't take this to the extreme the other problem that you will have running that particular light is Heat damage to your buds, this will slow down growth. In the future I would recommend upgrading to a enclosed hood which will be better cooling for your light and less stressful on your plants!
I would recommend keeping the light where you have it or 3-4 inches higher And putting your short plant directly in the middle and taller ones on the outside ( measure the distance from the light to your center plant, your taller plants around the outside will get the same amount of light because of the "arc" thing I was talking about but if you put your tall plant in the center then short on the outside your losing a lot of light to those plants.
Realistically, I've grown plants that yield 1-3 Oz and did nothing to it just stuck it in the corner with minimal attention minimal light, still they can push on.

Rotate your buckets to help the plants get even light distribution on each side and even growth will also help. 1/4 turn every day is what I do but you could wait a bit longer if you wanted.

Thanks m1,that all makes sense.I just did another inspection and that super skunks top cola is def burnt,1 side of it is completely frazzled,an there's not even a cannabis smell of it now,smells like sun dried grass(not the smoking kind) I honestly think that top cola is half destroyed.prob bona have 2 cut that down and bin half of it,dirty dog.OK the light is higher now so I'll just keep an eye on it.thanks m8

Dont cut off the top especially on a auto thats gonna really destroy your yield. It will be fine and the rest of it will smell fine dont worry so much. The problem is corrected and everything will turn out fine

Thanks Joe.wot I do is move the plants from 1 side 2 the other every 3 days or so.super skunk is badly bleached at top so gona go an move it away from the light.my tent is very small,an its a struggle at the moment 4 space as skunk wants the whole tent 2 herself,so room is def an issue 4 me these days.its my fault,I spotted this happening last week an ignored it thinking the lower light would really fill out those side nuggets,seems I've prob destroyed the top of skunk.
