Smokey I am impressed every time I see a new picture! they are looking beautiful!!!! I'm hoping mine look like that when they get old enough haha.

Looking good!

they are lookin bomb man

Thanks guys!! :thankyou:

She's looking incredible Smokey! Beautiful little buds and perfect leaves. What lighting are you using in there now?

Blue, thanks pal! Right now I have 6 - 23w 2700K CFL's and also my 2'-2 bulb T5 with 6500K bulbs. They really seem to enjoy the dual spectrum.

Thanks buddy! You are definitely on track man. Your girls look great!

those are looking great smokey. Any chance you got a chance to type up the gh nute feeding schedule with ffof ? I keep burning mine and your look great. Whats the secret :)

I know, I know. Things have just been so hectic. I'm going to try and get that up tonight. No pics to upload or updates to do, so I will try to concentrate on that. Well, if my wife lets me. :ganjamon:

I was hoping you'd say that smokey, those are the nicest cfl buds I've seen at that stage. How high off the plants is your t5?

I keep the T5 about 4"-5" from the top of the plant. The CFL's are a bit lower, but only by maybe 1" max. Also, it is a high output T5, so it puts out about 4000 lumens using only 48w. They really are impressing me and at this point I don't think I will ever go back to my HID.

thank you smokey, my plants and lungs will love you for it :) I though my 50% P mix would do the trick but the af didnt like it and now i got white tips the AG dont seem to mind 75% P. but a tested schedule would be awesome :)

Yea, I will get that up here cuz it is good info. It's broken down into a vegging schedule and a flowering schedule, but then it breaks down into early veg, mid veg, late veg etc. Same with flowering. The only thing I did differently than what the schedule says is I didn't give any nutes for 4 weeks because of the FFOF. But after that, I picked the feeding schedule up right where it should have been and I haven't looked back since.

Great chatter on the lights & nutes!
Your garden looks amazing Smoke! I bet you're very proud of your girls! :bravo:
It looks like you've done an outstanding job matching lights & nutes to plant size & technique and the result will be a very nice haul!
I'm diggin the T5! Funny you're not the first to say they're not going back to hid after using a T5HO.
I dumped a 250mh for 192 watts of T5HO for veg and it's been one the best moves ever for me! Plants just seem to party under T5s!

Thanks Bandit. It really seems like I've got everything in a nice harmony right now. I think this plant has lost only maybe 4 leaves. Even the ones buried underneath the canopy are still vibrant and green.

And the fluorescents just have me floored right now. The T5HO coupled up with CFL's seems to be a match made in heaven. I'm running 186 total watts and have not had to deal with heat, ventilation, or height issues. And when summer rolls around, I'll only need to address the ventilation. The only changes I may make would be to add come more CFL's, because my next batch I will be trying to utilize about 15" more of my height.

Your right about the T5s with cfls, the plants seem to have exploded with new growth when I added the cfls back into my veg. I'll be doing some upgrades myself but will admire everyone else in the meantime:reading420magazine:

:peace:

I'll be watching when you do! That harvest you just pulled looked tasty!

Ok, I'm going to submit the feeding schedule I use for the General Hydroponic 3-Part Flora Series nutrients, altered for use in soil. I am in no way claiming that this work is mine. The schedule I am posting came from another MJ forum. If you are interested in the actual source of this schedule just PM me and I will point it out to you. This should be unnecessary because I am going to supply the exact document, word for word. Again, this work is not my own. I just want to supply this information for anybody that would consider it helpful.

I will supply the unadulterated schedule and then after I will let you know what I actually did. Hope this can help someone out!

"This feeding schedule will help you on your new adventure of growing high quality marijuana. These ratios are based on a medium consisting of a semi-soilless mix of 1/3 Super Soil (a generic soil brand from Hom De Pot), 1/3 perlite & 1/3 vermiculite. Supersoil contains no nutrients, so if using a different brand w/ nutrients adjust your fert amounts accordingly.

With a soilless mix, approximately 1/4 of the water going in has to be runoff, to wash out the salts from the last watering & any build-ups. It is very important to check the PH of your runoff water also. For example, if it is going in at 6.2 and the runoff is 6.8, you have a salt build-up and have to flush your plants w/ PH adjusted water and then check runoff. This is very important, because at higher or lower PH levels plants will take in more or less of some nutrients. Use good quality water with a PPM of less then 150.

When using GH Flora series always mix your micro first, stir well, then add your grow, stir well, then your bloom, again stirring well. Failure to mix your micro first will result in certain nutrients being locked out & unavailable to the plant. Measurements are given in teaspoons per gallon using GH Flora series.

SEEDLINGS (Day 1-14)

During this stage your plants need no nutrients. Plants have enough energy stored to last them roughly 2 weeks. I've seen many grows ruined because people killed their plants during this period.

VEGETATIVE GROWTH (Day 15-45)

Early - 1 tsp (5ml) each - micro, grow & bloom. Adjust PH to 6.2
Middle - 1 1/4 tsp (6.25ml) micro, 1 1/4 tsp grow, 1 tsp bloom. Adjust PH to 6.2
Late - 1 1/2 tsp (7.5ml) micro, 1 1/2 tsp grow, 1 tsp bloom. Adjust PH to 6.2

FLOWERING (Day 46 - 106, more or less depending on strain)

Early - 1 1/2 tsp micro, 1 tsp grow, 1 1/2 tsp bloom. Adjust PH to 6.2
Middle 1 3/4 tsp (8.75ml) micro, 3/4 tsp (3.75ml) grow, 1 3/4 tsp bloom. Adjust PH to 6.3
Late - 2 tsp (10ml) micro, 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) grow, 2 tsp bloom. Adjust PH to 6.3
Later - 2 1/2 tsp (12.5ml) micro, 1/2 tsp grow, 3 tsp (15ml) bloom. Adjust PH to 6.4

Always remember to water your plants w/ plain PH adjusted water the last 2 weeks to wash out any built up salts & to try & reduce the chemical taste that unused ferts leave behind in the weed. The plants used in this example were grown using a 400 watt HPS. If you use this information & have good genetics, I guarantee you will have a good amount of high quality weed in 3 1/2 months.

Peace"

So that is the schedule I have been using. All I did different was I used Fox Farms Ocean Forest instead of the mix listed. So, based on that, I did not add any nutes for about 3-4 weeks. Then I picked up with the schedule at about the Middle Veg stage. I also only feed every other watering so I don't have to worry about nute build ups in the soil. So far this has worked for me, so maybe it will for you!

Done typing now!!!!

Very nice indica strain you've got there. And looking good as far as the density as well.

You'll be RoorRip in no time.

Thanks herbs! I'll be posting pics again probably tomorrow night. Wait til you see her then. If growth keeps this steady for the next 6 weeks, I'm going to have some serious nugget on my hands!

im confused sorry im new to this so your saying every teaspoon mesurment in there has to be mixed with a gallon of water?

and what is micro and grow ? i know what bloom is

and also last question sorry but is it better to have soilless mix or kind with it alreaady in it

This feeding schedule is specifically formulated for the General Hydroponics 3-part Flora Series nutrients. The 3 parts consist of Micro, Grow and Bloom, each in its own bottle. You would add the micro to 1 gallon of water, stir, then add the grow to the same gallon, stir, and then do the same with the bloom. You would multiply the measurements by the number of gallons of water you are using. As far as soilless mixes go, I don't have much experience. I have only grown hydroponically and with soil.

thank you smokey , that should help i ve been using much more then that and as result p burn well the tips are white, luckily i was ready with water to flush them out. Thanks again hope this works :)

Good luck bro! It's been perfect for me so far. My baby has yet to show me any signs of discomfort!

Girlies lookin good Smoke!:welldone:

Im jealous and lovin it. I was worried when alot of people were saying cfls aren't the way to go. But I see now, if you do it right you can get some good lookin girlies put out some good nug!:grinjoint:
I got to fix my ventalation in mine before I start. all cfls and a small closet. Trying to keep it small. Left my lights on for a couple of hours with no fans. 100.2 degrees and 18% humidity. I kinda went overboard with the lights!! Ive got 8 27 watt cfls, 3 42 watt cfls and I had 2 T8 28" bulbs. in about a 3x2 space. And im starting to realize im rambling. lol, peace brother:cool:

That sounds like a killer setup man! Hopefully you get the ventilation figured out cuz it would suck for you to have to lose some of those lights! The more the better! And these CFL's really do put out some nice nug. I'm going to be posting pics later after lights on. She is looking better all the time!

Thanks for clarifying that for me in my absence kara! The feeding schedule I gave is for soil. GH nutes can be used for both.

Also, thanks for the compliment kara! And I have nothing bad to say about CFL lighting. Whether your main source or supplemental to your HID, they definitely have a positive effect!

I will be doing a picture update tomorrow. Just got home from VT and some sweet snowboarding, so I will be relaxing for the rest of the night! Later!
