Smokey0418 DWC Grow Journal 2021

Just a bit of stretching and a bit more tucking. Some off the side shoots are beginning to be become branches.

Static ph of 6
Static ppm 550
Water falling.

Seems like everything is progressing well on the fertilizer front. I have been adjusting that a bit to get back closer to a 50% ratio.

The temp of the tote is a bit of a battle as @Tokin Roll hmentioned and then @West Hippie added to that with the additives he has used during higher temp times.

I have been reading alot over the past few months here and there . There is alot of info out there from tea brews , h202 bacteria's , clear rez and more to keep your roots in check.

So an adjustment the tote , 5.8ph, 625 ppm

Hopefully the scrogg says on the floor as you can see how she's bending the strings.

8 hrs later quick check before lights out and ph has dropped 5.6 with and totes down couple litres, so adjusted to 6 and snapped a couple picks, 2-3 more days and it will be 3ft across

The cleaner the roots in hydro means the roots get bigger and what happens when you have bigger roots means bigger buds ! :passitleft:

Still a learning process. Have a better idea what not to do the next time around .
Its been 10 days and she stretched under the net but not like some. Personally don’t think it’s going much further so the flowers edging the strings were let loose into the canopy to catch the side shoots.
Still running in the 670 ppm range as just a bit more and ph will start climbing.
Trying to maintain a bit closer to 5.8 but when you adjust fertilizer it does swing slightly . 2 up or down depending on the feeding.
Level drops daily almost a gallon.
Perhaps a complete water change is in order after 10 days but it does look very good.

Great work with her, big improvement .Do you have a lux meter ?
All I would have is a free app that would measure lux , you cover the camera with paper to diffuse.
Was looking at ppfd meter but just that for now.
With the old hps lights everything was good until you touched.
Leds are very different animal and maybe would be a good idea to find and instrument to keep in the 850 and under range.

@West Hippie I have had this lux meter app on my phone, so without breaking the bank while a work I did some research and found some good info to start with.
I did raise my light a few days back when I was turning up the volume and thought I was hurting them when in fact I was slowing them perhaps.
Anyways Lights back down and have positioned to try and get approx 48000 lux across the canopy as this could equate approx 900 ppfd.
Had a seem down the middle that was a bit hot from overlap so I tilted to try and even out.
More hairs and a bit more growth today. Slight rise to the ph from 5.8 to 6 with 700 ppm.

Perfect 45k-70k lux for budding . Always remember light is food for plants . Slight rise in ph is another perfect move . The hydro bible starts to come in handy . Great work keep it up !

Good morning. Day 15.5 from flip.

Working the afternoon shift doesn’t give me much time for her , but she does so good by herself till I show up.

Sucked the tote out and did a change yesterday. Replenished at 5.82 ph and 763 ppm

12hrs later 5.8 ph

Then returning this morning it’s down almost a Gallon ppm has risen 50 and my ph to 5.2.

So ph’d a bit higher to 6.05 and the ppm 803 . See what tomorrow brings.

Running full out 18 inches from the tips.

Definitely and increase to the canopy the last two days.

Few shots with it dimmed down.

Good afternoon.

The idea of the scrog is a good one to get to spread out exposing the side shoots .

After watching what’s transpired for the past months has made me take note to little things I see off a bit here and there.

Everyone who has helped in my experience here is greatly appreciated.

I have struggled with its looks all along but wanted to get a grasp as the future is brighter than some older days.

So as mentioned I was raising my fert levels and this lime colour, sucks to say it nicely.

Turned knob up to 1150 with ph at 6 .
24result , 1 gallon down ppm up ph about the same.
Topped up. 1150 ppm ph 6
Looks ok.

24hr again , 1 gallon down ph up a point.
Topped up at 1050ppm .
ph’d this time 5.88 and will estimate what’s missing and maybe boost it back if it falls again.

New growth has better colour.

I like it.

Up down and all around . There has been something wrong for months. Have been fighting it all along. Some days better some worse.
I have come to realize it’s time to take charge.
Scrog has been de and restrung for future days as I could not make a proper defence with it in the way .
Work in progress on the bottom end will reward my top end.
Here she is unleashed and in a few days I hope to have a much Healthier looking lady.
Some make it look simple and I’m confident I will too.

I had to work on her mid day , it’s usually lights out.
Put a garbage bag over her and took her to the sink to wash the chit off her roots .
I have massaged throughout rubbing off what I could and then , put her back into the pot full of bacteria to eat this love away.
Hoping by Monday this ship can be righted and finish this girl up and move on to round two.
Leaves are falling off left and right, won’t have to defoliate.
Well going to have a look in a minute to see how she took today.
Definitely a lot less suffocating.

She’ll thank you later.

Couldn’t quite get scrog to sit on floor. And she is starting to get sticky.
