SleepDog’s Sour OG, Sherbert Kush & Bubba Kush: Soilless Grow Journal 2019

Imo it's not overkill at all. You need a minimum of 35w per sqft. And 50 is really where you want to be at. Ideally you want want full coverage from corner to corner. I mean the light physically over the plants.
Feel free to call anytime!

Sour D harvested today

12 weeks from flip. Approximately. She's the last of 4 from seed.
I don’t think I would be able to do a straight Sativa. Not only the time required for full flower, but the height restrictions as well. I do have a Nice Feminized AK47 seed that I will eventually give a whirl. I do like a little Sativa when I need to keep busy.

Yeah Sour stretches big time. I had her in a 3gal nursery pot, multi topped and super cropped and she finished around 3 feet. Her sisters were finished in 5gal fabric and ended up 4.5 & 5 ft! Trees.
I'm finally getting some fruit in my life, just sowed 4 Platinum Tangie x Blueberry Cookies. Who breeds your sherb kush?

I am not exactly sure who’s sherbert strain it is. I actually found it in a nice little bud that came from a medicinal source in BC. It was the only seed in about 10 oz of dried bud. There wasn’t even any little gimp seeds either.
I guess it may not be 100% sherbert, possibly a cross with a stressed neighbor or perhaps she seeded herself, either way 50% Sherbert at least.
The only problem is I will have to be super careful with this beauty in the flower room and make sure she doesn’t see any stress.
I will also be hunting for nanners or nutsacks as I call them.

I was just flipping on the lights and realized I must have messed up with the light lux meter app when I said 12000. I just looked again today and there are the numbers now at bud height.

I do realize this is not the standard for checking light for plants just wasn’t sure if this may cook them. It did hit 74,000 at one spot.
Time to save up for a good par meter!!

My lights are about 22” from the closest buds and about as high as I can get it. It is at least 6-8 inches higher than it was. I’m pretty sure the issue is calmag deficiency due to the fact I was using hard tap water to start and didn’t even consider the calcium and magnesium, then started using filtered water and didn’t up the cal & mag. Here she is today after a full feeding yesterday and lights raised.

Jeez that seems close. But the cobs have big lenses, 120 degrees I bet, and that's spreading that power out for less intensity but more spread. You're doing a great job working with the space you have.
These cobs are 60 degree lenses. I thought they had changed them to 120 degrees before I purchased it. I am going to get their proper dimensions and order some good 90 or 120 degree lenses. I was waiting to see how these turned out first and it looks like I have my answer now.
