I've been in my garden today so I thought I'd share what I've been up to with all you lovely 420 folks.
I had another look at KxS#1 & I'm pretty sure it's male so into the bin it went
My three babies needed bigger pots so they all got moved into 10L airpots. I'll be finishing them off in the 5gal smart pots so I've not used the full height of the pots this time. When I come to re-potting them it should be much easier & I wont be breaking roots trying to squish them down into a shallow pots.
I did my usual coco, perlite mix with some bat guano & PM granules & watered with nute mixed to ph 5.9 & an EC of 1.4. The mix was 2ml/L PM grow A+B, 2ml/L Voodoo, 2ml/L F1.
Fluxy still has a bit of moisture in her pot so she's not had a drink but I decided to let her have three friends round to stay.
I've now got all four plants in the one tent & switched over from the Mars to my 96x3. I bought this light for veg so lets see how it does lighting a 4x2 area, which is the stated footprint. It looks to be giving even coverage but I'll keep my eye on the 3 babies & see if they start leaning in for the light. I set the height at 2ft above the babies, 18" above the flux. It doesn't seem as intense on the eyes as the Mars, whether this is down to fewer IR diodes I don't know but it doesn't hurt your eyes like the Mars does.
This is in veg mode
This is in flower mode
Here's a top down view of the babies
I'll share a little trick for keeping the node spacing tight, here's a before picture
And here it is after
You have to be very gentle when you do it as it's very fragile young growth but all you do is spread it open so the new shoot can be seen, I do this about 3 or 4 times a day all through the veg stage & it does work so I'd recommend everyone to try it if you don't do it already.
To finish off todays update you can have some pictures of the flux. I'm defoliating & training on a daily basis which I really enjoy but I just wish she'd grow faster. If I wasn't fluxing her I'd have her in flower by now, this fluxing lark takes an eternity
That's all for today so take it easy fellow growers & keep it green
