SIP Run With MeJA & Controlled Drought Application

Ahoy There!
We be puttin together a special crew provided some of the seeds prove female. We got some Otters Dream, a few Black Poison, some Shed's Mango something, and lastly my personal favorite Stankberry X Northern Lights. This crew will be running in faux @farside05 everything. The large colas on the "Northern Stank" get my mouth watering.

The need is great as the run will provide the required RSO to engage a new patient's prostate therapy. I will provide the best care possible for these plants that will provide Hope. :peace:

Not gonna bother ending this journal. This run is of urgent importance and cannot fail.
Pain in the rear tending to all these GIRLS. hah

and just because she was so pretty a shot of SIP raised Grandaddy Purple

Spread this Love

Not SIPPIN' this round?
I have a tentative sponsored run coming up and am holding back the SIP containers for that run. No worries my brother, you have converted me. LOL

These kitty litter containers are all drilled and cannot be easily converted to SIP. Plus, I need to nail the drought timing as I want maximum concentrations. I am well versed in these containers.

I thought about another way to examine the medications. If I am correct, (kinda sure already) the droughted oils will be heavier than Un droughted oil. A gram measures a gram in weight. But a milliliter does not weigh a gram. The medicine is dosed in ml. See where I am headed?

I bet you're glad the cats poop in the house. :goodluck: on this one!
No cats in this house. The containers have been donated by folks who raise them feline critters. I need the link to your pain salve again. Promise one day to learn bookmarks. Thanks

Oh thanks! I'm allergic to cats anyway. :)

I don't have a pain salve since my salve is for bites, hives, burns, stings, etc. The salve uses everything but the flowers (leaves, stems, roots) and that link is here.

My pain oil is grapeseed these days with as much decarbed flower as you can get to fit in the oil in the Magical Butter machine. I run it 8 hours at 160°, let it sit overnight, and run it the same again the next day.

Phew. Had me worried there for a bit. :laughtwo:

I've had issues with my last few attempts at droughting in these things. By the time I get the correct LWA (something like day 14), the plants are a bit too far dry to bring them back with another watering round.

I'm thinking maybe a few partial droughts, back to back, might be the ticket.

Don't really know. Just finished my latest CBG plant and, after bud washing, I'm letting it dry a bit before making oil, but it seems droughting in SIPs might be a bit more nuanced than in other containers. Have any thoughts on that?

Interesting. That would seem to be consistent with the test findings, where the cannabinoid levels increased across the board, and I'd imagine the cannabis oils would weigh more than water? Although oils float but maybe that's more related to density of the liquid?

Promise one day to learn bookmarks. Thanks
That's an easy one. At the top of each completed post there are a couple of icons in the green ribbon over on the right. The first is the "linking" icon which, when clicked will give you the address code for that post that you can copy and paste in a link like Shed did above for his salve.

The other icon is the bookmark. Click on it and you will be able to add a "label" to help you find it later on so name it something you'll remember to search for later. You have to click the gray banner containing your label name and then remember to hit the save function to store it.

When later comes, click on your avatar at the top of the page, select the Bookmarks tab, and type in your search words in the "Filter by Label" box. And, presto chango, every label you've ever created with your current search criteria will be listed along with a clickable link to go to it if you want to access it or create a link to share with others in a post.

There's a "setting" icon that has a drop down menu with a "copy link" feature that should allow you to copy the link right from there, but that's never worked for me so I have to go through to the actual post to copy the post address.

Have you been refilling the res to recover or top watering? Or is it just the plant is too far gone?
I top watered on my attempted recovery day, and then added water directly to the reservoir the next day, but she didn't take much of it up. I measure the water level with a dip stick and the water level only dropped by maybe a quarter inch on day three , four and five. All of the leaves from the fans to the sugars were super crispy and brown.

I finally gave up and harvested. It's mostly going into oil so overly dried isn't a disaster, but a better cure can be had with more proper moisture levels at the start.

I bud washed yesterday and left them out to dry overnight. When I jarred them this morning to test humidity they were still at like 87% so maybe the buds weren't  as dry as the leaves, but it smelled like hay before the bud wash.

Ahoy There!

Garden update, we ran a quad cut butchers line. ha
These stalks are like fat asparagus. Unreal

FYI
This RSO run will be engaging stage 2 prostate cancer. Small cell...just to make it suck more. We of course plan to apply MeJA and follow with a controlled drought. We want all the help the girls can give.

Sorry to hear that @Maritimer . Makes the grow that much more special when the fruits of one's labor are used close to home.
