Who is the forbidden fruit from ? I grew it from purple city and it was crazy never tasted a terpenoids profile like it , it looked like it was rolled in coke
I think all 4 strains were prizes from Herbies back in Jan.
Hope mine comes out like that. I've only had the strain once & it was from a dispensary. To be honest ... It Sucked !
I was hesitant about even growing it. But then thought it might be better if grown myself at home, so giving it a shot.

Check purple city genetics I’m not gona lye they hold the best , they works with cultivators to save their strains by allowing it to cross to 2 of their strains one increases calax size , their watermelon skittles is insane , their fort skittles taste is like the electric metally feeling when yo eat a tomatoe /pineapple and taste was seriously like a dragon fruit softness but the bitterness of a gooseberry it was a do I like this ? 7gram later I’m like this is strange as to smoke , then move in to other smokes and you find yourself chasing any bud that tastes like this didn’t realise I liked it somuch , I’ve crossed it with a sour Jaffa strain

how are making out with your issues?
Eh, comme ci comme ca. I went on vacation for a week and had someone filling the res for me reach day. The plant on the right is drinking a gallon a day now! They're still growing fast and heavy, but my one plant is clearly stunted and now the leaves are cupping/canoeing. The plant that was doing very well (on the right) is showing signs of deficiency now. See pictures below.
Because I don't know you I don't want to insult you by making rudimentary suggestions, but I'm gonna anyway and just hope if I step wrong you'll be forgiving.
This is my second grow and I battled deficiencies last time too but ended up with 10oz from three autoflowers. So don't fret about insulting me, plus I came here to learn so have at it.

Unfortunately, while I've been coming up in the indoor grow game, sudden, apparent issues have sometimes often stressed me into making plant-killing mistakes.
Yup. I haven't killed anything yet but I'm knocking on wood hehe.
I need to stay my hand and let individual fixes work through the system, about 7-10 days (7 SIPs/DWC - 10 soil/soilless top-fed, approx.)
Right, don't make two changes at once. Just like in my IT job 😏.
You just let me know if I should start waving.

Take a peek at the pictures and let me know what you think. They've been getting a weak/half strength mixture of cal/mag and Fox farms grow big in the res with every feeding until the last couple days when they just got plain ph'd water to 6.3. I ph all water/fertilization going in the res at 6.3/6.4 cause my tap water is 7.8. I also top dressed them about 8 days ago with Gaia green power bloom (2-8-4) to get them ready for flip this week (hopefully today they're getting unruly!)

Top and side shots of both plants yesterday.

New growth on plant#2 (left) little yellow, very thin leaves, cupping up.

20230708_232155.jpg

Another of #2 showing twisting cupped leaves. I just yesterday raised the light 6 inches and light meter says 50K lux.

Plant#1 (on the right) showing what looks like maybe manganese or calcium deficiency maybe? This is on the sets of leaves higher on the plant but not present in the new growth tips.

20230708_231938.jpg

Oldest growth on plant#1 looking rough. I haven't defoliated in about 10 days.

Another of plant#1.

Cupping leaves can be a sign of heat or light stress. Have you changed you light height or turned it up recently? And how about temps, any recent heat wave lately?

Those brown spots look like a calcium deficiency to me. Do you add cal/mag?

Tomatoes like to build a lot of top-feeder roots, I've noticed, so I top-water mine every now and then or they start showing a yellow leaf down low, unlike all the other veg I SIP-grow.
Interesting. I'll keep an eye on that. :thanks: So far, my soil stays moist all the way to the very top, probably due to the plastic mulch cover I'm using.
The 420 looks just gorgeous Luiz, I hope you're pleased with them.
Thanks RD, I am indeed quite happy with the progress so far!

While I'm here, I'll post a an update of my Sensi Cheese.

It's been in the SIP for 36 days now and is growing at more than an inch/day. I have a 2.75 gallon reservoir and if I wait 24 hrs to add to the res, it will be bone-dry. I try to add a gallon or more twice a day.

Ahoy BeezLuiz,
I have been searching for the quad lining tutorial I thought you produced here on 420. I have never learned how in the heck the bookmarks work and cant find shit using the search box.

Where are the quad lining instructions? I don't want to ask Shed. He is like the 420 yellow pages.

June 18th I worked it up to 40k luxe, and I've raised the light about a foot (twice @ six inches 6/25 and yesterday) interesting that light meter says 50k still tho 🤔 I'll double check that in a bit. 50k should be ok for veg tho right?

I've been putting half strength cal/mag in the water in the res for a while now, since 6/28. Maybe jump that up to a full strength feed?

Wow. That's lovely, nicely done.

This one isn't Beez's but comes from the originator I think.

If Beez has one I'd like to read that one as well.

Ha! Beat me to it. :welldone:

Check the controller data below, one spike at 77 but I have the threshold at 75 for temp. Humidity is lower than where I want it (mid 50s), but it's in the basement with air conditioning in the house running.

Ok, that's not it. Canna likes 75-85*F but I don't usually get problems until I'm up in the high 90's.

So I'll bet it's a light issue, but I don't know much about grow lights and the adjustments to them so someone else will have to weigh in there. @Jon ?

I'm running a SpiderFarmer SF4000 and it's about 19.5" from the canopy right now. Light meter says 40-45k across both plants (720-730 par in photone). Plant#1 is gone dry in the res again this morning, #2 is still working on it's water from two days ago. Pics from this morning (right now).

Their color makes them look hungry. What are you feeding them for nutes?

I broke down and fertigated with fox farms grow big 6-4-4, half dose every fill for most of last week and again this morning. Should I be giving full strength every fill?
Yes. Don't second guess the manufacturer's recommendation without mucho experience and a good reason to do so.
