Shottafire's - Bubba OG Sealed Medical Grow in Sunshine #4

Sorry canna but those photos do not look like Aphids to me.
They look like Fungus Gnats.

Can you get us a better picture of one Shotta?
Aphids look more beetle like.
Gnats look like baby mosquitos..

LOL I take both your words for it. I thought it looked like a gnat too, but I wasn't sure, so, surprisingly, I kept my mouth shut.

The only pest I ever had with MJ was spider mites. Scared to death I'll catch something. I know it's a matter of 'when', not 'if'.

I've had fungus gnats on houseplants though, and I don't recall them looking like mosquitoes, but there are several kinds of mosquitoes, so maybe Vick is familiar with a different type.

I'm not saying they are 100% Gnats, but if you aren't completely positive what they are,
maybe pick up some ladybugs and unleash them on your garden.
ladybugs LOVE Aphids, that's their main diet.
Then just soil drench with dunks to kill the larvae.
Also try to really dry the medium out before watering that will help kill larvae too.
Between the ladybugs and sticky traps, they should keep the Mum and Dad's above soil under control.
Maybe to be absolutely certain, bring in one of those sticky traps to your hydro shop, they should be able to tell you exactly what they are.

"I don't recall them looking like mosquitoes"

The ones I've had didn't until I put them under a scope. You can usually tell gnats by the way they fly.
Kind of like a bird heading into a stiff wind. Floating all over the place and not making much head way.

I will try tonight. I am having some leaf drop in the lower parts of the canopy and some fading leaves up top. only directly beneath the light though. the outside ones look nice and green. Lights on at 5 going to the dro store be back in 30 minutes. I am not joking around. This room has put me back more than a few thousand so I can not lose this crop to these yuccin motherf'ers.

I want to try the yucca as well ordered it today be here shortly hopefully.

Now I am getting mixed feelings on these. I read on another forum somewhere that if the wings are longer than the body they are aphids
and if they are shorter they are gnats. In my pictures they appear to be longer so my guess was root aphids (flyers)

I will try to give a better picture tonight.

Been working in there it seems forever just when I think I am cruising bammm, it hits me back to work at least one all nighter a week.
venting the veg room since the air exhausting out of there is just hot and makes my mini split work overtime. trying to cut cost where can and if that means another inline fan to cool the lights than I will do it. I would think that would spare my ac the extra work it has to do to keep me at a steady 76-78 degrees.

happy growing!

I hope I can help someone else out with the problem if it works out for me. i really need to determine what i have first.

end rant!

Thank you all for the reps and help. I will be back soon to thank each and every one of you personally.

That's right.

I've got a couple little things flying around but only had spider mites little neem oil got rid of both fingers crossed they stay away ha ha

Thanks for chiming in mobudds. Yeah I am going to start a neem/soap regimen in the veg room as a preventative here shortly just trying to catch up. I hope you got your problem under control.
