Shottafire's - Bubba OG Sealed Medical Grow in Sunshine #4

I swear I need to control this rh like asap. the buds are starting to swell a bit and if this crop gets lost my wife is going to put on her stilettos and trample my sack.

You could alwaus stop aorcooling the hoods and remove the glass. The exposed bulbs will ding it down a little. Not much but a little.

Edit: NIGHT humidity eh? Lol. Umm shit... already running 2 dehueys?

The colder it is outside when the lights go off the worse the spike. I noticed this week as the nights got a little warmer each night the rh was not as bad. Two dehueys one on during lights on and both of them on during dark period.

What do you think about exhausting when lights go out for a couple hours? I think this could possibly help and keep the rh from spiking but I am not sure. I still am a newb in my own eyes so anyones help with this is welcome and appreciated.

Would definitely be exhausting at night.
Would bring your RH right down.

He said his room is sealed. No exhaust ever. If he did, how would he manage odor?

So two dehumidifiers aren't enough to control the rh at night?

I don't exhaust all night either. I'm curious how you guys are doing that? My ventilation is setup to keep the room cool with the lights on. If I don't turn off the exhaust at night, it will get friggin cold in my room! I have my exhaust fan come on for one timer interval 3 times during lights out. I run a heater at night to compensate for the lights being off. I've been considering the addition of an active intake so I could leave the exhaust on all night, but I'm planning to go sealed after this harvest (maybe 2 harvests), so it seems like the effort and cost would be a waste since it's changing soon.

Ok folks. This room is completely sealed. I do have a 6 inch inline with a carbon filter attached to it for an emergency thing if ac fails.

I was thinking of running a heater as well but with both dehuidifiers running at night i am sure those things are heat enough. I have a very dense canopy and I am trying to let them go until there next defoliation at around day 40 or so. mainly just removing most everything below the first screen. I am going to try setting up a fan blowing up through the canopy to get that air moving. the forest is soo dense that I feel when the lights go off the plants sweat like crazy.

I really do not want to exhaust this room. The environment is stable and functioning great I just need to play with it a bit more. Incrementally Been getting it down but it is all tweaks like starting my second dehumidifier an hour before lights go out. I also need to check out my mini split as this is also potentially one of the problems. I have it set on auto 78 degrees. If i set it to 76 this should lower my rh but it costs more since my ac will be slavedriving.

What ever it takes i will get it down. Just can not cost money. Not sure how thats going to happen but it will.

One from day 26 Flower. I will start checking the tricz in another 2 weeks to be sure on the time these take from flipping them.

I know exhausting at night would defeat the purpose of a sealed room.
But maybe it's a solution to getting the RH's down temporarily.
Throw a carbon scrubber on to handle smell, vent in intervals every 2 hours or so.
Just seems that his dehuey's can't handle the current RH.
Could possibly be a cheaper solution,
Unless he upgrades to a better dehuey unit which would keep the room sealed, and control the RH.

I exhaust my room 24/7 to keep fresh air moving. But my room isn't sealed, just running passive intake.
it's venting harder during lights on because it's keeping the hood cool at the same time. (speed controller)

thank you vick! +reps for the encouragement and help.

I could set up my inline fan and filter but then I need dampers and I would need to get ones that actually fully seal with no air lost. Co2 can cost me now since I setup my sensor. any of that air gets out I will be replacing tanks weekly. I like to keep the tank for two weeks o so

So do you manually adjust the speed at lights on and off?

That reminds me...

Shotta, what size dehimidifier are you running? I just bought a 70pint model from Lowes. Haven't installed it yet, as I'm still in the 30's, but I've seen 50% when I have spilled water or something. Is this going to be big enough? I'd like to know before I open it. Was hoping to have it installed this week.

I feel if i had a 70 I would be much better off. I have a 20 pint little one good for a tent maybe. I also have a 45 pint lg.

I think you should be golden. Could you link me the one you picked up.
I am thinking of opening another line of credit somewhere to get a nice new unit. lol.

This looks like the one I bought.

Not sure about posting links to blue's site, but here goes. If this is a violation, mods feel free to remove with my apologies.

While looking for this, I found this one:
Shop Soleus Powered by Gree 70-Pint 3-Speed Dehumidifier with Pump ENERGY STAR at Lowes.com

I'm going to try and exchange mine for the one that comes with the pump. Mine is in the basement, so I have no floor drain.

Hey bro looking fantastic!!

I have it set on auto 78 degrees. If i set it to 76 this should lower my rh

Was that a typo? The warmer it gets, the less moisture that is able to be held in the air. Meaning, the warmer you go, the less humid. Try to keep it at around 70-74 night time if you aren't already. With the heat from my 70pint dehu and heater, my rh never goes above 40% at night time (9x9 room with 65% ambient rh)

So do you manually adjust the speed at lights on and off?

Hiker,

Yep, I go in and manually turn it up at lights on.
Then turn it down in the morning.
