STS is the way to go vs colloidal silver, imo...less work and more effective....i’m currently selfing my mutant amnesia og:
You can order O.1M (sometimes called 0.1N) silver nitrate (SN) and 0.1M sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate (STP) solutions from amazon. The silver nitrate breaks down in light, so keep it in a dark place.
Make a “stock solution” of 1 part SN to 4 parts STP (about 50mL should be enuff for one plant)...the stock solution has a short shelf life, so don’t make more than you need.
Mix the actual spray you use by diluting the stock solution with water between 1:5 and 1:9.
Soak the nodes with the spray every 5 days; flip lights after 1st week. Usually 4-5 sprays does the job, but you can spray as long as you want.
I haven’t used a surfactant/dishsoap.
