I dont think CC will be a good choice..Doc chose and uses the Pro Mix HP for a reason.

Try the Kit once or twice following the instructions and you will do freestyle afterwards...
like any recipe, you take it and make it, then change it just by making it again...

... it's had an Energy already ... with the straight water before that, Shiggs? ... so it should get Trans/water again today ... with another ~20 days to go ... 4 days between ... you want to end with at least one Energy for the calcium taste ... so that's 5-6 waterings including today ...

I have to laff aloud when I read high brix terms....cat drench... energy....T water....sigh. I'll get it someday. I'll do as Shiggs has done and run a few Chem plants alongside the brix chicks. This way if I screw it up i have my old methods to fall back on.

LOL, yeah the damned terminology does make it sound weird and hard to grasp.
But try finding better names, yourself. I have.
You're still stuck with the whole alternating/timing thing, which is what seems to throw most people. Call it A and B and C. It's just as confusing. But sheesh it's so simple! Alternate between two drenches until bloom. Then sub a different drench. Then alternate with just one drench.
Then, after you've got a feel for it, customize the schedule at will if you wish, because the best part is that no matter what you do, you usually end up with superior produce.
It's an odd system.

Stage, dont run the chem plants. What I wouldnt do to go back in time and buy another kit for my first grow so I could just do all HB plants. I now look at my chem veg plants as temporary place holders. This next cycle I have to run some chems but then after that its all Brix baby. Keep the chem nutes to give away to someone. ALL new clones go into HB soil. When they get big enough it will spell the last of the chem plants for me.
Truthfully it is so easy to make the nutrient and foliars for HB growing that you will start getting mad when you have to make the chem nutes. Measuring every damn nute and pH balancing at the end. I cant wait to pull my batteries out of my pH meter and put it in storage, never using it again unless I want to run a non grow science project lol. Get enough kits to convert now and thank me later.
Graytail I think I will do a light transwater today then do the cat. Second cat will be light. Then move on to the trans and then GE. Maybe I can get 2 GEs that way. AO isn't a kush actually. Its TGA's proprietary orange strain crossed with Jacks Cleaner.
Thx Shiggity! I'm in uncharted waters now. Not sure how I'll do waiting for the soil to cook for a month or more. I'll meditate on it and let the universe remove the perceived obstacles (heat of June and July.) I'll probably have to invest in an AC unit for the garage to manage the temps.

Start chem seedlings and cook 2 batches soil, then take clones asap and High Brix them. Once you get clones rooted flower the chem moms, then next grow flower the brix clones.
isnt that awesome?? Not knowing 100% what youre going to get?? I think it is..

Sounds good to me. Cat is a switch and a nutrient combined. It's a Transplant feed with ammonia-based nutes for the negative charge, which pops soil-bound minerals off their cation sites. The minerals are held to the cation sites with a static charge, and the cation sites are primarily in the humus material in the soil. Over time, they fill up nicely and we can release them with negatively charged nutes.
Then the question is how fast they refill and how dense they are in your particular soil. My thinking is that your soil is looking pretty damned healthy, the last Cat didn't cause any leaf issues, and the soil has had a chance to revert to positive after the T/water rests and the Energy feed, so there may be enough in the soil to cycle the charge again.
I think your instinct to evaluate the second Cat is good.
