Hey Chinnubie, I checked it out and although they are impressive plants, I saw where she made it clear that she was keeping a secret on her soil blend and nute mixtures. I don't think that is in the 420 Magazine community spirit. I think it is selfish and uncalled for. This site is suppose to promote awareness and share our knowledge with the community so that we all can be better growers. That's my take on it. I also read where she only harvested 1.25lbs from a 100 gallon smart-pot, the professor had a better yield from a 7 gallon pot. I'd say that's not very cost effective. More of a novelty. Interesting though.

Hey Dusty, thanks for the pat on the back, I appreciate it. As far as the secretive grower issue, I did post on her journal, I thought maybe if I brought it to her attention that maybe she would reconsider and share her knowledge with the entire community. Instead I was told that I probably couldn't make her soil blend and nute mix work anyway (she didn't say that but one of the people on her journal did). I guess she is the only grower that can grow in a ridiculously large pot. She was growing outside so why not just till up a patch of soil and mix in whatever the secret ingredients are and skip the cost of the 500 gallon smart pot. Anyway, you're absolutely right, secrets are why cannabis is illegal as well as hemp. I just don't get it. Thanks for coming by my friend.

Hey Radogast, I agree but I am willing to put it all aside and just get back to growing. After all we are here for the greater good of something that is bigger than our own egos. I obviously hit a nerve and for that I'm sorry. I didn't present myself in a mature and adult mannor. That's my fault. I let personal issues in my life guide me in my response to something that really doesn't matter in the bigger scheme of things. Again, my fault. I'll attempt to make things right with the appropriate individuals but that is all I can do, hopefully that will be enough. Thanks for your post, you're a good person. Thank you for not judging which I wish I had never done. You obviously think things through before you speak, something I can learn from. Reps to you my friend.

I do not believe that the soil mixture in the link above has many nutrients as the member has photographs of nutrients to be used with the plant.

Personally, I didn't care one way or another. I just liked looking at the huge plants while they're growing outdoors and I want to see the growth they make while flowering outdoors. It's truly fascinating to me, to see a "weed" grow to this magnitude regardless of what's being given to the plant for food. I'm guessing most nutrient, soil, soiless medium making companies have trade secrets, we don't know all of the circumstances involved to make a fair judgement of the situation.

I gotta say something about the other...., she could have done what everyone else does at the beginning of their journal...give the ingredients, amounts, the name of strains, medium, etc...she gave some but didn't give ALL that info, and.I got heated when I read her reply,, she was just mean and rude!!!

Hey granny, it's all good though. I don't believe for 1 nanosecond that she has never received help from another grower wither she would admit it or not. We all have had someone help us along the way, even the great growers. Thanks for stopping in.

That is very true. My grandparents taught me how to grow plants and about soils and nutes.

Good Morning
Time for an update, I waited a few days so y'all could see a marked improvement. Day 62 of flower, Medi1 is starting to thicken her buds and fill in more. LFs in veg are growing nicely, getting good internode spacing. The runt hasn't shown sex yet but is gaining growth since repotting.

I'm baaaack, I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. Medi1 in flower is doing great, buds are filling in. She did just fine on her own for 3 days. The LFs in veg did very nicely also. They all got some great growth, even the runt. I had topped her just before I left and last night she had 2 nice tops that had grown out 3 nodes with tight spacing.
