I'm sold on Terpinator

Excited to see another TEST dummy like me...lol

Especially on the autos

I ve been using it since day 20 at 2ml per liter. I m on day 60 (flip day 32). If everything keep going well I ll be able to make a smoke report as I ve already grown the strains before and know their taste without terpinator. It s regular not auto

So you have been doing just 2 ml for veg? I was thinking of trying 2 or 2.5ml for veg as well. Good idea?

I don't know what's the best dosage. I saw people reporting good results on low dosage as well as on high dosage. I just thought that as all the other nutrients I use recommands 2ml per liter I would do the same in veg to avoid any sort of harm then increase the dosage in flower as time goes by. In fact they also recommand to go with bigger dosage during the last days of flowering. So I had planned to start with 2ml per liter till end of stretch then increase it slightly to reach 4ml/L around week 6 and keep doing it until week 8 for a 9 weeks flowering plant. I ve always seen that using any product at too high dosage were leading to unwanted bad effects. So I thought I would use the terpinator in a kind of reasonable way

Thats some seriously good advice thank you!! I think ill do small dosage to start and then as flower starts then ill move up dosage. :) hope you are doing fantastic!

Yes I think it s a good way. Starting in late veg a bit before flip with low dosage is for me a way to make the plants get used to it. So later in flowering when you put more to the feeding, the plant should already be used to it and accept higher dosage

So im about to bite the bullet and shell out a thousand bucks on Timber grow lights... the 2 fixtures ill be getting are

For the 3x3x6 (3500k color)

Model 4VS

For the 2x2x4 (3000k color)

Model 24SAMS

Now before i do this a couple of questions.

In the 2x2 tent. I have my fan and carbon filter on the top part hanging from support bars. That being said i don't have much room at all up there. How does the QB hang and with the rachets im getting would i be able to hang it from the middle point (where the current led is hanging) or do i have to make 2 points for the rachets to hang from.

On the 3x3 tent. I see the 4vs has 4 light coming out. I only have 1 plant in that tent atm. Is there going to be to much over lapping light or anything to worry about? Also shouldnt have to worry as much with placement on this but same question as the 2x2. Can this hang from a single point or does it has to be on 2 points.

Or should i wait till these 2 plants are done and just re do my tents with the new lights for the bigger garden?

Thank you everyone for the info. I cant wait to get these lights. I just want to kake sure everything will go smooth when installing
Subbed! I prefer to do things on the cheap if I can, and there is a lot of 'snake oil' in the industry. If you haven't pulled the trigger on the lights I would recommend holding off on a new veg light until you have seen how the one you have performs since you may be surprised. I have three blurple ones like yours from random manufacturers and have used them for veg and flower. The coverage I get out of one of them covers your veg tent perfectly. I have used one light for a 2x2 space and it can veg from seed to 8"x8" in a month, and by month two they are ready for flowering at 16x16-20x20 depending on the strain.

Also having used the blurple leds for a couple bagseed grows I would definitely recommend sticking with COBs rather than panels with 100s of leds due to the 'keep it simple' principle- a COB can be replaced like a light bulb which is not true when you lose a couple rows of tiny leds. Even with a wonderful warranty, any lighting failure that can't be fixed immediately is a serious issue. The one light you have right now won't be anywhere close to sufficient for flowering so I totally recommend getting something better, or if you are mechanically inclined you could build your own COB setup for the amount your blurple cost with equivalent light output to the 4vs. Consider also the sooner you get a new flower light, the sooner you can begin vegging your next round of plants, which is when your returns actually begins in perpetual.

Yeah thats what im thinking since there younger plants give them a light start on everything since there is still some nutrients in the soil.

Wow that is some incredible advice and welcome to the grow!! Glad to have you along. Yeah i havent gotten the lights yet. Becuase of what you said and also just things coming up. But the plants are absolutely loving things right now so that makes me happy. So no idea what to do at this moment but im sure something will present it self. Hope you are having a great day!

Update

Ladies just had there 1st feeding. Ph was perfect. Next 2 times will be pure water to flush out and prevent nutrient lock up.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Measurements for feed.

1ml of BPN Micro, Bloom, Grow, VitaBlue (B vitamins) and 1/4 measurement of Easy weed.

Also added 1ml of Terpinator

Lets see how the ladies like it!
Happy 420!

Subbed! I'm about to have 12 plants growing different stages and the info I've seen in your journal so far is going to make inevitably encountering similar issues in my grow MUCH less intimidating.

Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Yes....the Stank C. I have them all up in my plants. Lol. Great way to space things out in the middle of the plant. Also I have them at the top of my pipe cleaners so that I didn’t have to tie the pipe cleaner around the branches. Just put the hook on them instead.....less chokey! Lol
It really does work great at opening up the middle. Glad you were able to expand the use brother!

Dwarf Star will grow some really nice plants.
I veg all my plants under the Dwarf Star. Great light. Doesn't have the coverage for bigger areas that I wanted so thats the reason I use it for a vegging. Very happy with it for a 2x4 for vegging.

All caught up.

Just want to offer a flip side point to the one presented on cobs vs the panels.

Yes you could have a diode or two go out on your panel. But you could also have the same thing happen with the Cob. Which one would affect your grow the most? One little diode going out on the panel will likely only lose you 1-3 watts. Don't think that will effect the plants a whole lot. How many watts do you lose if one of your COBs go out?

I personally don't think there is a right or wrong answer to what is a better option. Both are great lights. Both have strengths and weaknesses. Do your research on what light fits your environment and situation best. What works for me, might not work for you. What works for you, might not work for me. Ask for opinions. Ask people not just what they like about their lights, but also more importantly ask them what they don't like or how they would change the light.

Very wise words from Stank! I'm all caught up too!

Hey Sarge! I saw your user name/journal title and was like who is this brixxer I don't know then got to reading and see you are not using Doc Buds High Brix kit. Are you familiar with it?

Then I also read about your lighting considerations and saw all the great advice. I have been using and loving the perfect sun goliath for a couple years now and have just been gifted their new light, Max Yield which I am excited to see what it can do. I am growing in 2, 4x4's so it's a little different but I am sure the Dwarf star will be a great veg light for ya! Per vans point, I can't say much because I am doing a sponsored grow but my main issue with the goliath is its size and weight, it truly is a GOLIATH! Otherwise I love it!

I just started a new journal, see link in my Sig. Besides a glowing recommendation for Perfect Sun, I highly recommend Docs Kit because it is so easy to use, organic, inexpensive and the quality of final product is top notch. Come on over to my journal and all any questions you may have!

I'll stick around and watch your 2 gals grow up of that's ok.
