Per vans point, I can't say much because I am doing a sponsored grow but my main issue with the goliath is its size and weight, it truly is a GOLIATH! Otherwise I love it!

I just started a new journal, see link in my Sig. Besides a glowing recommendation for Perfect Sun, I highly recommend Docs Kit because it is so easy to use, organic, inexpensive and the quality of final product is top notch. Come on over to my journal and all any questions you may have!

Howdy and welcome weenmeoff! Pardon me i have been drinking a bit and puffing. Long day. Im glad to hear the advice and i will come check your new journal out!! I love seeing these ladys grow :) when it comes to the lights im still in between what to get. Becuase my set up as is the only way i can hang is by 1 rachet hanger sadly. The reason being is the fan and carbon filter are taking a big chunk of it lol

I have not heard about Doc buds brix, my nicknake came from when i was in Europe in Brixtonhill... soo long story short i was driving a IAV Stryker, and wasnt quite looking and went straight through a house on the hill... so the name Brixton stuck.

Ive been using Blue planet nutrients but please do tell about this Doc Buds with his Brix stuff sounds cool. I just want the best quality stuff i can get for the girls.

Hey Brixton, ha, love it! Thanks for the back story! OK if I call you Sarge?

No matter what light you get, hanging it with 1 ratchet is probably going to be tough and unstable (I think.) have you thought of hanging the ratchets from the side rails. I know those pesky carbon filters and fans sure do get in the way! All of the lights you are considering are top notch and if you wanted to go DIY, I can refer you to a few people that can help.

As for Doc Buds High Brix Blend of soil and nutrients, "The Kit" it is from. Member and sponsor here, @Doc Bud and it's the bees knees! More info here, Home It really is easy to use and also very hard to screw up! Brix is a measurement of health of the plant (I think, say in lay and terms and maybe doc will chime in) and using his Kit will help ensure the best quality, clean, organic, top shelf produce. The first 3 keys to the kit or any growing system really are 1. Environment, 2. Environment and 3. Environment. The kit is inexpensive, the kit is on sale for $80 and is enough amendments and nutrients for 1 grow of 6 plants in 7 gallon pots, start them in 1's. And the bulk kit is on sale for $225 and is approx 4 times the regular kit. You also need to buy a bale of pro mix hp 3.8 cu ft and about 30lbs of earth worm castings with the n-p-k of 0-0-0 or 1-1-0 but the last number has to be a 0! So the total is about 80+45+30=155 all in! I hope I didn't forget anything. If your only running 2 plants at a time, the basic kit, 1st run soil will last you 3 grows depending on how big your final pots are (I'm using 15 so 1/2 as long) and then you reuse that soil for 3 runs so you would get a total of 9 grows out of the soil but you will need to stock up on the nutes which are Growth, Transplant (for healthy roots) and Cat drenches (Catotonic root drench is given twice in a row about 3-4 weeks into flower. ) Then the foliars are Brix spray given every 7-10 days and destress given only when the plant is stressed and also used at 1/2 strength on clones.

Sorry I'm rambling! I have to say 2 more things, do you ph adjust your water now? Do you enjoy doing that? Some don't mind, I hated it! There is no need to adjust ph, Doc's soil takes care of all that. Also, you don't have to flush your plants like with synth nutes, I hated that too!

Yeah when it comes to lights and and the filter i know what you mean. It is a pain but it is needed. Gotta make it work some how. But for now everything is working great. I think after this grow witch i have already leard a shit ton. Next one will be even better and so on. I might be able to do 2 rachets on the 3x3x6 tent. But the 2x2 it has no room at all sadly :( so i think i might get a better light for the 3x3 at some point when i pull the trigger. Next grow on the 2x2 ill probably upgrade the light and re do the filter fan set up. Then everything should be set. Becuase really i want the small tent for only auto flowers (since there shorter usually).

So 80 bucks and I get the kit? Hmmm i might just have to invest in the kit if thats what the jazz is all about. Maybe ill do a new grow with some special seeds I have if Doc Buds wants :)

I have to do more research on everything. But hey gives me more studying to do. I wont kid you its been like school. Past 3 weeks i have read more books and information online that it feels like I'm in school. Haha but hey i love it. Definitely my passion.

I got to check out some journals tonight! But the booze are definitely kicking in now haha
 
Okay just read the 1st post made by Doc Buds and i love it!! When he said i must reach Brix level 23 to have a nymph bring a blanket over i was sold! Haha but in all seriousness reading over that its amazing how insightful he is. I never knew that about Brix and the health of a plant. Definitely going to be reading alot tonight!!

Mini update!

Before i left for my doctor app i opened the tents to check on them lovely ladies. And holy good god the aroma they are putting off is fucking insane!!! I looked at it zoomed in and def see more glands growing. Explains the smell. But ive never seen this kind of growth. I had a handful of plants and never once did i see this. The Terpinator has developed alot more glands and i would say its good to do this.
1st. Its pre growing more glands that makes more sweating on the plant witch produces our essential oils. Hence where that smell is coming from.

2. Doing this in veg while the plant is young. I feel that it will lead to the plant focusing more on production of flower and trics. Insteas of growing those glands then flower and trics.

But all in all you cant go wrong with ether using veg or using it in flower. You will definitely get what it says. And i LOVE that!!! I want to get a tshirt of Terpinator anyone know where a brotha can get one?

When i get home its photo shoot time!

Update

Here are some photos i toke once i got home. They are growing so quickly its awesome. And they are definitely putting on more smell. Everything looks good!! Not seeing any problems really.

Only thing is with the BBKa tent, with the light at full power temps are rising around 80 to 81. But that might not be to bad. Considering at night its 70 to 71 so thats the 10 degree difference we need. So maybe it will work out. We shall see!! Humidity is between 45 to 55 day and night.

The KK is just wicked awesome! Her fan leafs are just incredible. She has now caught up to the BBKa in terms of smell. But im sure BBKa will win here shortly ;) haha but all in all she is doing great! Alot of growth going on for sure.

Now coming to the topic of Topping or Fimming.
I will be leaving the BBKa alone and let the christmas tree happen. Might do LST if needed but i dont think it will be needed.

Now the KK i will be Topping once. Just need to decide on when. She is working on her 4th and 5th nodes now. So im thinking of doing it tomorrow depending on how much she has grown. But im open to suggestions. And thank you for any info.

Autos seem to respond well when topped around day 21, that gives them plenty of time to recover and grow out before they flower.

Plenty old for sure, i was already considering topping both. But they are now topped!! Surgery went perfect. After examining the topps. The BBKa is a female i saw a pistil coming out!!! The KK did not show any signs of sex yet. But the long fangs next to the node are about to cross so i have a good feeling.

There wont be much growth for the next day or 2 becuase of the surgery. But will keep an eye on them closely the next 24 hours.
