Seriously Amelia, Giga's awesome. He will look after you, blind you with mad inventions and give you lots and lots of great information.

I will read a bit more when I can to catch up ... (I'm not quite as much of an idiot as Giga is lol) so bear with me, but just wanted to do you the courtesy of saying hello after your very kind comments about my girls.

"shit a brick"..now i definatly know :rofl:

oh my!

ok just a little interlude.
just finished page 15 (10 posts per page for me) and my eyes are starting to bleed, lol.

im like you in that i dont feed them unless i have to.
those little tip burns you had early on look to me like faux nuteburn. i think that the way you were watering was causing dry spots in the soil that can behave like all sorts of other problems.

as with almost everything else in life i generally ignore the rules...i dont water my plants any more in the conventional way.

when i first water them i do it by filling my bath with PH6.3 water and lowering the pots in till saturated completely for an hour or so then pull the plug, after that i just spray the surface whenever it starts to look dry (sometimes several times a day).
something that has not been mentioned upto this point...other than the dry spot possibility, which im suprised some of the more experienced didnt suggest...washing up liquid. just a single drop in 2l makes your water...wetter :rofl:
i know that sounds strange but basically what washing up liquid(dishsoap for the americans among us) does is to break up 'surface tension'...see thos flies that can walk on water? watch one try and walk on water with some fairy in it :rofl:
basically this allows the water to disperse much easier in the soil and removes dry spots.

jorge cervantes also reccomends dishsoap so thats some pretty strong credentials.

the reason i water the way i do is because plants only need slightly damp soil, but they like it evenly damp and with plenty of air.

ill stop ranting now in case this is covered in the next 20 pages oO

LURVE couch lock, not managed to find anything for AGES that actually pins me to my seat. It's hard to find round here. Not saying what we have is shit, but not always as super strong as I crave.

Coffee AND cookies? Damn, you spoil me!:laugh: (The codes for the smilies here change I just found out, from day to day..anyway I digress...)

"shit a brick"..now i definatly know
:rofl::rofl: Busted.

Nice DgC!! I'm rooting for ya bro!!!

lol.....lol hey didn't know you were a girl....lol....feel silly talkin bout pollinating your crop...
Ah don't worry about it!! :laugh: That's why I said it's a bonus that I could lie down in my tent with my girls and not have to worry bout pollinating them HAHA!!!
S'up Fish? Ya need more popcorn? :laugh:

just finished page 15 (10 posts per page for me) and my eyes are starting to bleed, lol.
I feel your pain Giga, but when I rewind back to beginning of my journey and journal and see those 4 little watercress typed things I think "DAMN!" LOL!!!
those little tip burns you had early on look to me like faux nuteburn. i think that the way you were watering was causing dry spots in the soil that can behave like all sorts of other problems.
I reckon you're spot on mate. I wasn't giving them enough water to begin with so sounds just like what you described to me. Thanks, I know better for next time anyway. I will also definitely bear in mind what you said about the wash up liquid, got some fairy lemongrass and lime antibacterial at the moment, was a bit edgy about using that, may opt for a bottle of the plain green tack. :-D

Well, gave them their plain watering today, took some pics, spent time admiring them, and I shall share with you later on after I have re-sized them and smoked some more. :rollit:

:rofl::popcorn:
