Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

Oh definitely not a Beez original technique. I learned hempy germination from @SweetSue so maybe she knows the originator? Would love to take credit for it (because it works so well) but it's not mine to take!!

I guess because if I took 100 seeds and simply popped them in soil maybe only 90 or 95 of them sprout and grow. With some seeds costing $20 or more each my money is on the hempy cups. My success rate germinating and sprouting seeds in the hempy is phenomenal so that's just how I do it now. I did the paper towel method my first year growing but find the hempy cups much more reliable.

The more the merrier Mushie 1005

Gotcha Beez! If it aint broke, don't fix it. I've had a really good result, not 100% but close, germinating right in soil. I know germ method is important but a lot of it has to do with the seeds, no? Once seen people go add far as scuffing up tough to crack seeds with sandpaper.

I think seed quality has a lot to do with everything grow related from germinating, to yield, to quality of the flowers. And I've been known to scarify seeds from time to time. Generally seeds that I've bred myself that are covered with a layer of resin that's dried on the shell. I have a small bottle with white sand in it and I put a few seeds in it and shake it up for a bit. I think it helps get some or maybe a lot of the dried resin off the seeds.

Those are some really fat, thick colas. How was the quality of the flowers? I know you've grown it again so you must have enjoyed it. Was there consistency between the first time you grew it and the second time you grew it?

It was very nice smoke, one of my tastier grows. The plant shape is similar due to pruning, but the first one struggled a bit for some reason and faded. The color probably came from being grown in cold December. It may have been from lack of nutes, I wanted to see what the Fox Farm would do by it self. Both had nice full colas, no space between buds like the Greenhouse one I grew. Both had solid nugs and this one seems the same, not much fluff even low down.

Finishing about the same too. The first went 9 weeks. Today is end of 8th week of the current one.
The ambers are mostly cloudy and I'll give her one more week.

One of the few strains that actually helped me sleep. It wasn't knock out pot that just stoned you to sleep, it ws a good all around smoke that seemed to emphisize the mood. If I was doing something I enjoyed it more, and if I was relaxing I was enjoying that more. I've grown about 50 strains, and Seedsman Jack Herer is in the top five.

@SeedsMan Blueberry has to be in my top 5 strains. I bought a 3 pack and a friend gifted me three seeds. I put them all together in the same packet. I've grown three of them and all three plants were very similar in size, structure, yield, and bud quality. That to me is the sign of a breeder taking the extra time to stabilize a strain. Nice to hear the Jack Herer was like that for you too.

Nice Beez! All the hard work is done now, all you’ve gotta do is transplant and water! ... oh and the trimming :laughtwo:

Damn @Hash Hound that is a chunky JH! I’ll have to look into Seedsman a bit more closely

Keep your eyes peeled for when they have their sales. Tremendous deals to be had.

I think it was just like two days ago I up-potted my Seedsman Original Skunk #1 plant into her final pot and got her branches all tied down. Well, she has obviously decided she wants to go vertical. A tremendous amount of growth in just a couple days.

I spun the pot around 180 degrees to put the left side of the plant right under the light trying to even up the canopy. I still have to take a cutting or two off of her. About 10 days till she gets flipped.

Not the most exciting time during a grow I'll be the first to admit. I snapped a photo of each plant and one of them together. They are 1 days apart in age with #1 at sprout + 5 days and #2 at sprout + 4 days. At this point at least to me #2 appears to be the more vigorous grower. She is 25% younger then her older sister but has pretty much caught her in size.

Does their color look a little light to you guys?
