An unexpected surprise this afternoon. The first of the two Peyote Wi-Fi seeds sprouted and with just the tiniest bit of help shucked off her shell. When germinating in perlite it's easy to use a toothpick or something similar to move some perlite off the top to check on the seeds. I did this and discovered that seedling #2 has cracked open, is putting down a taproot, and starting to work her way to the surface. She was planted a tad deeper then the other one or else she would probably be up already too. But at tip when germinating in perlite. Plant the seeds just a little deeper then in soil to give them a better chance of removing their shell. I probably have to help remove the shells about 40-50% of the time. That's a little scary the first several times you do it. But if you have a magnified visor or something similar, a good pair of tweezers, and a sharp toothpick you'll quickly learn a good technique.

Anyway, I expect to see #2 something tomorrow (day 3) the day I anticipated they would sprout. I mixed up 10 gallons of fresh new organic soil yesterday and will let that cook for 2-3 weeks before introducing the Peyote Wi-Fi seedlings into it. As always @SeedsMan has delivered top quality seeds.

A happy sight to see this morning as the other Peyote Wi-Fi sprouted over night and shucked off her shell all on her own. They'll stay under their domes for one more day and then the domes come off. I'll leave them in the solo cups in the perlite out from under their domes for 3 days at which time I'll transplant them into some very mild, low nute organic soil. This grow is off to a very good start.

Nice to see a friendly face @Emilya . It's good to have experienced growers willing to share their acquired knowledge. It makes us all better growers.

I bought like 20 bean bags so there should be a bunch of them left. It's beer and munchies I didn't buy much off not know how many would show up.

I have one flowering. It's on day one of it's 8th week post flip. So flip + 50 days. Still lots of white pistils and clear trichromes.

I may let this one go until my Seedsman Original Skunk #1 is ready to be flipped. She (the Skunk) gets up-potted tomorrow or Friday into a 5 gallon pot. She is a gorgeous, VERY stinky girl even in veg. Much more compact then I anticipated she would be. I'm learning now that the Original Skunk #1 can have an Indica leaning phenotype and I believe that is what I've got. I plant to take two cutting off of her so that I can grow one of them out Au Natural and see how big she'll get. The one I'm growing now I have topped a couple times fearing it was going to get quite tall. Right now she looks like a Mum plant you find at the grocery store. Round like a basketball.

Good you could join us HH! JH is Jack Herer?

Amazing

I just finished mixing up a small batch of organic soil for the seedlings for when I transplant them probably Friday. This is a more bland mixture then I put more mature plants into to grow. This mix includes in equal portions...Promix BX, Earthworm castings, Coast of Maine Lobster compost...…...to this I add a little Kelp Meal and a little bit of rabbit droppings which I've dried out. The last ingredient is perlite for aeration and drainage. So we're all set to float the girls out of the perlite on Friday and get them started on some nice roots.
