I had not a clue how to handle the thirps. I was going to submerge the whole plant and root ball into 30% H2O2 and leave them there for 20 minutes. I was steered straight by @InTheShed who told me how he handles the little bastads.Good call on the neem. Great way to handle them in veg.
Well I knew it was only a matter of time!! I was looking at my Alien OG clone today and saw this on two of its leaves. I saw nothing moving underneath the leaves. Right next to her is a Killer A5 Haze clone that also has some white spots of a few leaves. I saw itty bitty critters crawling on the underside of the one leaf with white spots I looked at. So it appears I have thirps? I ordered a pint of Southern Ag Neem oil off of Amazon which will be delivered on Monday.
I don't have any issues in my flowering tent. Those four plants are just fine. And I've never had crawling or flying pests before so this is a learning experience for me. I'm going to follow a neem oil plan recommended to me by @InTheShed and I'm sure the problem will be taken care of within a couple weeks of treatment. With luck the young plant affected won't suffer too much.Hey @beez0404 , I'm just swinging by to see how a healthy Peyote WiFi grows out.
Do you use anything else besides Neem oil?
Would yellow bug strips or diatomaceous earth earth help as well?
How do you spray just the bottoms of the leaves? I can see how it could be done as a 2 person job. I know some guys I've seen buy one of those outdoor sprayers with the hose and spray wand on the end. I think that would make it easier to spray the underside of the leaves. I believe I'll wear a pair of furniture staining gloves and do them one or a few leaves at a time the first time to be really thorough. That's the one! 2-3 tsp in a 32oz spray bottle. Shake shake spray!
Every 3 days is what I used for that enemy. Thrips might be different. Labels probably right as it would be determined by the life cycles and those time frames.I'm dealing with small clones so I should be able to wet the underside of the leaves really well. The directions say to spray every 7 days. Was it you who said to spray every 3 days or was the Bob Brown??
I really wanted a g goddess sifter but they were sold out before xmas so went with a smaller ryot shaker was shaking flower though haven't tried running trim and won't through it. You freeze your trim before sift beez? Oh and i tried the ironing thing but i suck at ironing. Just don't do it. So i bought a 15 or 20 dollar pollen press and cut out parchment paper size coins. Too put in between the presses. Then put it in the oven at 300 for 4 minutes then crank it all the way down. Let it cool and poof hash coin. How you like too make your hash?...…...I bought a pollen sifter from Green Goddess with a 100 micron screen. I let my trim dry till it's crunchy and run it through the sifter collecting all the trichromes. I then press them into a small square while wrapped in parchment paper. Then I fire up the clothes iron and set it to about medium heat and with it still wrapped in the parchment paper I iron it. Flip it, iron it, flip it, iron it. Till it's a solid small block.
I use the cold press organic neem oil in liquid form I use about 5-6 ml if infestation is apparent per liter of my tap water . Re spray every three days bud until pest are no more ? Why every three days because even if you kill adults they lay eggs and you can't see them very hard too and you kill adults but then small new babies are born after . Neem oil is good for things that chew on your nutrients.Well I knew it was only a matter of time!! I was looking at my Alien OG clone today and saw this on two of its leaves.
