Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

why was the harvest totally useless?...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...:hookah:
The seed harvest wasn't useless. The method of application of the CS (new to me) reversed the entire plant instead of just a branch or maybe two like I've always done in the past. When done that way the rest of the plant can be safely harvested for buds you can smoke or use for edibles or whatever. I had zero useable buds on either plant. Every node on the plant turned male with pollen sacks. Sure, there was a pistil here and a pistil there which I pollinated as I spotted them. But I typically shoot for 200-300 S1 seeds per plant with the rest harvestable and useable buds. I got about 8 seeds off one plant and maybe 20 of the other plant with zero useable buds.

NOW, that said, if I ever want to make a crapload of S1 seeds in one go I'll reverse one plant the same way I did these two and have another at the ready to pollinate. I could pollinate as much or as little as I wanted.

Hey Beez, you know I’m following along! I just don’t have much free time during the day to post. I use likes as if they were a bookmark to hold my place.

What application process did you use for the CS this time? What made you try something atypical?

Being totally honest...………….Laziness was the culprit. I've never before spray applied the CS. This time I selected 3 branches each on both plants and sprayed the nodes at lights out and lights on until I saw boy parts. BUT the boy parts didn't just appear on the branches I sprayed, they appeared on every node on the entire plant leaving next to no pistils to pollinate.

thanks very interesting. You think the mist the sprayer created just dispersed? Or maybe lingered around Ionger in the air?

obviously those things don’t happen when the cs is painted on.

Probably some overspray but too it was soaking the leaves each time I applied it so maybe it was so much CS in it's system it just turned into a boy.

I harvested today a small branch on my Black Cherry Punch plant that I pollinated with Jellium pollen. Just three small buds on this branch. As I've been documenting here this was not my best seed making effort but at least I got a few nice seeds for my efforts.

Jellium X Black Cherry Punch Fem Seeds

I was gifted two Garlic Sherbert fem seeds from In House Genetics. I decided to add one to my next flowering rotation. Today I up-potted her from her solo cup into a 1/3 gallon sized pot. She is in Pro Mix currently and will remain in this pot until my new batch of organic soil is finished cooking in about 3 weeks. I have 2 gallons of ACT bubbling away and will give her some tomorrow. I am going to do my best to not have to feed her any synthetic nutrients if possible.

Joining her will be a Peyote Gorilla which sprouted today. If it grows with as much vigor as the Peyote Wi-Fi I'll be really happy.

...totally doable!... :thumb: ...I credit @bobrown14 for getting me started on the organic path, and both he and Stank for affirming what can be achieved...also Doc's "kit" produces very very nice produce...chasing the next best product(designer nutes) doesn't appeal to me(or my wallet)...having said that tho', I may try a plant or two with Mega Crop(which is reasonable), in the interest of science...dunno' yet...:hmmmm:...anyways, think we're off to catch some classic rock with a Mexican accent...cheerz...:high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...

@dr.h00k aaaah the irony! I got introduced to growing organically by @bobrown14 and @Van Stank stank too. :D
They both continue to offer suggestions and offer a shoulder to cry on when things aren't going well. I feel like though I've turned a corner.

With the Mega Crop I can tell you it's a very good product. Good enough that I bought a 22lb bag of the stuff. What I got was version 1.0 and I'm very happy with it. And I hear that version 2.0 is even better. The stuff grows really beautiful plants with the addition of Cal/Mag here and there.

I took a close look this morning at the buds on the Peyote Wi-Fi that I pollinated with Jellium pollen. I'm real confident that it took and the pollination was a success making some Jellium X Peyote Wi-Fi Feminized seeds.

I harvested the Skunk plant about a week ago. I filled her slot in the flowering tent with an Alien OG plant. She's a thick girl with thick side branches. The majority of her side branches have made it to the top. At 18 inches tall instead of topping her I tried (for the first time) "fimming" her. I guess it worked because she has three tops growing up from where I fimmed her instead of just two. It's a little scary how much and quickly she grew when I put her into her final 7 gallon pot. I've started doing the "please stop stretching before you reach the lights" prayer for her.

I sure hope the Peyote Wi-Fi will give Jellium a little branching structure and some reduction in inter-nodal length says one pollen chucker to another. :bongrip:

I know just what you mean @MagicJim I often wonder how Jellium grows from seed instead of from a clone. If there is any structural differences. That's why I used to very last of my Jellium pollen today to dust 5 or 6 small buds on each of the two Jellium branches with pollen. Pollinated branches are tagged with a piece of pipe cleaner.

Thanks, Shed......I can't speak of the quality of the flowers the Peyote Wi-Fi will produce. But the plants themselves are some of the nicest, healthiest I've ever had the pleasure to grow. If trichrome production is an indicator then the flowers should be amazing. Just have to wait and see what comes of them.

Yesterday used up almost all of my Jellium pollen. My Jellium twin girls (2 in the same soft pot) are now flowering and I picked out two branches on one of them to pollinate. The buds are small so not a ton of seeds per bud. But I did dust about 4 or 5 buds on each branch. Looking at a few of those buds today I'm encouraged by the way they looked. I'm seeing a good number of pistils that are starting to shrivel and change color. If you are thinking about making seeds for yourself this is what you look for after pollinating a bud. They shrivel up and change to a darker color as in these photos.
