Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

I have signed up for Seedsman seeds many, many years ago but never placed an order.
May have to try them out next run!
In my opinion @SeedsMan is the most complete seed bank on the internet. The selection on their site is second to none. Their customer service is top notch. Now I buy mostly the Seedsman house brand seeds and find the germination rate nearly perfect. The strains they offer are consistent and strong growing.

Thanks for the pictorial of @SweetSue Perlite germination technique!
Very much appreciated but that floating out the seedling and planting looks scary! LOL!
LOL...…...yes it is. The first time I floated a seedling out I was pretty apprehensive to say the least. But if you just keep gently squishing the sides of the cup moving the floating perlite while VERY gently pulling up the seedlings will slip right out. I'm actually going to be floating out an Alien OG seedling from a perlite cup today.

Seedsman Peyote Wi-Fi Update
The girls are 18 and 19 days post sprout today. Getting really close to being up-potted into 1/3 gallon plastic pots. I fed them for the first time the other day with just a little bit of kelp and rabbit poop tea. I made a gallon of the tea and diluted 50ml to half strength for the two Peyote plants. I don't want them crawling along at a snails pace, but also can't allow them to take off. For me that is one of the most difficult parts of growing in a quite small space. Trying to time the growth of your vegging plants so that when a slot opens up in the flowering tent that vegging plant is just reaching her vegging peak and is 100% ready to move to the flowering tent. Not 94% ready or 115% ready but just perfectly ready. I'm sure you guys and gals know what I mean. I'm glad I diluted the tea to 50% strength because they responded very positively to it with each having a little growth spurt. Enough talk, here are a few photos. I should have done a nice photo shoot,...…..maybe next time.
Seedsman Peyote Wi-Fi #1
Really nice, healthy root development which I can monitor using the clear solo cups inside the colored cups.

Seedsman Peyote Wi-Fi #2

This plant also has really nice healthy roots. I think I can safely keep both of them in their solo cups for another week.

Oh!! That's beautiful! I'm putting that on my list right now to grow ASAP right after the list of 121 other strains I'm wanting to grow ASAP. :goodjob:

You really grow some nice happy girls Beez! How full do you let those cups get with roots before you decide they really need to be up potted?

Wow @Hash Hound !!! That Jack Herer is so frosty.. I’ll have to look into that strain myself

To keep seedlings in solo cups longer I water very sparingly and only around the outer edge of the cups. There are two keys I use to determine I cannot keep a seedling in the solo cup any longer, and I check very regularly. First, the plant will start to require more water then I'm prepared to give it and the leaves will start to droop. The second will be the roots. If I see any roots that are starting to darken from white I'll look to up-pot her ASAP.

Why rabbit poop?
I have not looked it up online yet but there has to be some pretty serious benefits if you are using it.
Good source of Nitrogen I would think.

I have an abundance of wild bunny poop in my backyard, just have to get to it before the dogs do...LOL!

Next grow, I will try the perlite germination technique and the double Solo cup as well.
I remember seeing people doing double Solo cups but the inner cup had the bottom removed, once ready they just slipped the outer Solo cup off and planted the inner cup. No disturbance of the roots at all.

Rabbit droppings I discovered is one of the most perfect organic fertilizers for any type of gardening.

The following is from Rise And Shine Rabbitry.

Rabbit manure is one of the best manures for your organic gardens! It will increase poor soil by improving soil structure and also improving the life cycle of the beneficial microorganisms in the soil. Rabbits are very good at producing an excellent source of manure. It is rich in many nutrients and very simple to use. One doe and her offspring will produce over one ton of manure in a year.

Rabbit manure is packed with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and many minerals, lots of micro-nutrients, plus many other beneficial trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, sulfur, copper, and cobalt just to name a few.

N – P – K VALUES – Rabbit= N- 2.4 P- 1.4 K- .60, Chicken=N- 1.1 P-.80 K- .50, Sheep=N- .70 P- .30 K-.60, Horse=N- .70 P-.30 K- .60, Steer=N- .70 P-.30 K-.40, Dairy Cow=N- .25 P-.15 K-.25 As you can see by the nutrient values of farm manures and how they measure up and rabbit manure really shines! Rabbit manure also doesn’t smell as strong as other manures making it easy to use.

Nitrogen(N)- Rabbit manure is higher in nitrogen than sheep, goat, pig, chicken, cow or horse manure. Plants need nitrogen to produce a lush green growth. Nitrogen helps plants grow greener and stronger helping the plant reach its full potential. This is great for all those quick growing salad greens! Great for the early growth of tomatoes, corn, and many other vegetables.

Phosphorus(P)- Rabbit manure is also higher in phosphorus than the other manures. It helps with the transformation of solar energy to chemical energy. Which in turn helps with proper plant growth. Phosphorus also helps plants to withstand stress. Phosphorus in the soil encourages more and bigger blossoms helping with flowering and fruiting also great for root growth.

Potassium(K)- Potassium helps with fruit quality and reduction of disease plants will not grow without it. Plants use potassium as an enzyme to produce proteins and sugars. They also uses potassium to control water content.

More than just the awsome NPK values of rabbit manure it is loaded with a host of micro-nutrients as well as organic matter that improves soil structure, drainage, and moisture retention. Vegetable gardens, pastures, and flower gardens all will benefit from using rabbit manure. It helps retain soil moisture and soil structure.

Rabbit manure is one of the few fertilizers that will not burn your plants when added directly to the garden and can be safely used on food plants.

When you germinate with the perlite solo cup method the seedling is only in the perlite for 3 days after it sprouts at which time it's transplanted. Do it gently and there is no stunting of the plant. And that method will give you a really nice long healthy tap root to really get the plant started.

Come here little poochie - give me a big kiss. Wait....

Ahem - what was that about the dogs again?

Is it me or do the wild bunnies leaf bigger piles than the caged versions??

Rabbit - Alpaca - Llama = good poop not needed to compost before adding as a soil amendment or as a humus input. Good stuff.

There's a reason the dogs like it. Food for thought??

Edit: smells like shit when I grab it outta my dogs mouth. ffs lol

@Van Stank you're Jack Herer are from Seedsman? They sure are good looking plants.

Oh I LOVED the @SeedsMan Blueberry when I grew it last fall. I had three seeds and went with the smallest one. It produced a very large, bounteous plant full of rock hard delicious resin coated nuggets. Be sure to watch it close the last 2-3 weeks. I have pretty good ventilation and circulation and still spotted a little Botrytis Cinerea. And of course one of the affected buds was on the apical cola..lol I surgically removed it giving myself good margins and didn't see anymore the last 10 days or so.

I trimmed it up and dried it low and slow in the fridge and jarred it up with the Boveda packets. Other then burping the jars once in awhile I didn't touch it again for 8 weeks. You're in for a treat if you can wait 8 weeks. Delicious!!

I got fustrated with soil from the get go. Too many variables and pests.
Isn't it amazing how resilient cannabis plants are and how much abuse they can take and keep on ticking right along?
