Seedsman Purple Ghost Candy Comparison Grow Hempy Style By Bluter

@SeedsMan purple ghost candy girls take a late night ride ...

full

they really get around ... :cheesygrinsmiley:
more news tomorrow.

so we've had a couple of issues

full

there's always one. :p
it's in the fungal / ph range of issues. it's only on a few of the lowers but i plan on having a close watch moving forward.

full

possibility there's a bit of wind damage as it all occurred while it was near the little fan i use in veg. you can see past damage from a calmag problem earlier as well. it was the only plant to show that as well.

i wasn't overly concerned as i cleaned out the plants, lollipopped them, and flipped them.

full

nice and cleaned up
virtually all of the damage was removed in the lollipopping. they are enjoying the new sun lol

they're gonna stretch into the upper reaches pretty quick. they are on a 12/12 but the plan is to go 11/13 when they solidly show.

i noticed a couple critters/gnats in the perlite when i fed them after the lollipop, so they are gonna get a big h202 flush to chase everything up or kill it. there isn't really enough for me to be freaked about, it's inevitable when i try a spring/summer grow.😑

i'm doing the flush anyway since a lot of my stuff is med focus, and it's a good practice to clear up the root zone at flip in hempy. the flush is a simple tap water and h202 mix fed to the plants in a flood and drain with the hole plugged. i'll feed them within 24 hrs after.

flipped and caged.

i'm also giving them slight nute bump. will know more later today. i'm gonna look at my journal notes to get a sense of where things were about the last run.

it's been a long minute since i updated. the girls are happy in the new digs and settled in. they all shot for the roof, but they might have started backing off recently. flower is just beginning.

full

pics were shot in a hurry under the light so they are all a bit hazy and hot looking.

i have to get in and do a second and final defol at next feed. i've still got one getting occasional brown spot that will get a milk treatment at defol. the only thing i can pin it on is fungal/bacteria. the other three have been impervious, so i've likely just got one a touch more susceptible.

never had plants want so much roof so quick .. lol

full

everyone has a sativa jump on things happening. i'm pretty much stretched out at this time. my shelves have little left to drop and the light is pulled almost high as it can go. more drastic solutions possible soon. :p

one of my little circ fans gave out and we swapped in a spare for now. the other shouldn't be too difficult to get going again. i've been running the rig about 75%, it's been nice and easy on them for the most part. going to bump the light a little to 80 - 90% and drop hours from 12 /12 to 11/13 after feed and defol.

full

i'm running
8L RO
10ml calmag
11g MC
ph to 5.8
currently feeding every second day.

we're about two feeds into this mix. there's little to no tipping and some of the lowers are getting pulled from. they'd suffer regardless due to light deprivation. i'm probably at the top of this mix before i start dropping the MC back a little to make headroom for the BE and adding it in. it's getting close to feeding every day soon as well.

bit of a quick update. haven't been around much this summer. doing interviews for new work and took on more shows than i normally run which makes for days on the road.

the ladies are progressing nicely. i missed the defol window a little and decided to clean them up a bit.

full

they've outgrown the hoops and filled in a bit thicker than anticipated.

full

i had cleared out the lower stuff just after flip. the middle then filled in pretty heavy. decided to open them up for air circulation to avoid the chances of bud rot when they get further into flower. the buds are just starting build now.

full

i took a pile from the interior mostly, around 10 -15% of each plant. it'll cost me some production but i don't mind, makes final trimming much easier and will direct resources to the top of the plant.

full

there were quite a few that would have been good to reverse and use as clones. too bad the timing won't work at all. the next grow will start this fall and i'll go back to seed for it.

full

had to pull the light up again and i dropped the plants down to the lowest shelf. stretch seems to have slowed but i'm not convinced it's stopped entirely yet.
they're gonna be into the 18 inch mark on me by an inch or two. guess i'm digging a hole next if they keep it up.

full

i'm running 11g of MC and 10ml calmag in 8L RO. it's sort of the theoretical limit for MC, but the girls are eating it just fine with only a hint of tipping. i'm scoping them close for signs of a pk ask. i'll need to make some head room for BE and add it to the mix in a feed or two.

will be leaving town tomorrow so my pops will care take til i'm back in about 4 days. the plants are still fed every second day. will be a wk or two before i need to start daily feeds. the minor pest issue and black spotting have been cleared up but i'm still keeping a watch.

just have dad post updates!

i can't get him to use a cellphone properly. the melt down over trying to use my login is enough to defeat any hope of that ...

Good that you're out and about!

i didn't get a reply to a resume for year, now i'm juggling 2 - 3 possible offers and i haven't gone through all the interviews i have yet.

well, since the bad news i wasn't sure if we were continuing these journals but what the hell ..

i've been hitting a slow fungal issue all the way through the grow. it had been pretty well curtailed before flip but has since come back up.

full

it shows almost as a ph issue. portions of healthy leaves will brown spot and dry out, then spread through the rest of the leaf. it effects primarily one plant. i got impatient with things and gave it a milk/water spray down.

took it outdoor to give it a spray.

full

been having to add some ties and supports.

full

can still see some of the milk spray on it. it's been crazy hot here and most of it dried to the surface of the leaves.

full

i've left it for now as it won't hurt anything. i may give it a wash later with some straight water.

they are all getting onto building up now.

full

pics are from a few days ago. i hope to get some more current ones today.

i changed up the mix a bit.
running :
8L RO
10ml calmag
9g MC
1.5g BE
10ml h202 @29%
ph at 5.8

probably going to finish out on close to the same.
