Seedsman Purple Ghost Candy Comparative By Baron Von Blurple

Das Klones

Its been a week since the last update and in that time I was looking to see if I could expedite some growth in the lowers by stripping most of the fan leaves from the 2 plants.

Speaking purely on opinion and have no scientific numbers to back any of this up, I would say that I have marginally spurred on the lowers. Enough to say that these clones are probably double the size of what I normally end up making.

Now you could go on to say that time probably had more to do with it than any coercion I initiated....and I wouldnt argue too hard against that. But, there is no denying that my clones, this time around, are larger.

If you are at all interested at how I went about making my clones, You will find my process here.

Also of note worth mentioning, I am of the opinion that I have 2 phenos here. The first one, a more Indica leaning, greener, ruffled fan leaf pheno. And the second, a slightly more sativa leaning, less green, smaller fans, weepy pheno.

I took 3 lowers and 1 topper from each of the plants, snugged up the seedstarter mat to the Humditorium and hopefully in 10 days or so we see some porcupine bundles.

The topped clone on the left, and a lower branch clone on the right.

May the Galactic forces be with you

Mann, das habe ich gebraucht

3 days ago, I looked in on the clones and only 2 of them had roots. This round of cloning has gone very slowly. Certainly no roots in 10 days. In fact, the majority of them had no roots in 21 days!!

Im thinking to myself.....there wasnt enough coaxing of Galactic forces....thats got to be it!

With that thought weighing heavily on my mind, I went ahead and potted 6 of the best from the 8 I made. Roots or no roots.

Immediately 2 of those clones that got potted withered and looked like crap. But I would be leaving for Das Sommerpalast for the weekend and couldnt baby sit. So I spritzed em hard and would let them sink or swim.

But, just in case, I went back to die Mütter and grabbed a clipping from the inside of each plant.

Having returned from that, we peek in on ze klonelings;

It looks like they will or have hook(ed) up, even the 2 problem ones seem to be ok (back row center and back row right).

Ich bin demütig

Its been a very difficult plant to clone. Mostly Pheno1 has not taken to cloning well. All 3 are finally hooked up, but I am deciding if Im going to substitute the smallest Pheno1 with a backup clone.

Extremely long durations to put out roots and when you finally do, its a shoot here a shoot there. Porcupines balls would take even longer.

My back up clones are only just now starting to happen....and I dont care to look back when I made those.

I am only sure of one of those as to which pheno it is.

That being said, Pheno2 clones are growing out of proportion with the rest of the grow.

Its been a slog with these, but we are moving forward. Once the Pheno1 trio gets past the stunties, I will turn up the light and find the next gear. Until then......

Today in Das Schloss

Things are mostly to the point where I can get a little crop training in and start thinking about quading things out. The stunties have started to progress a bit and the early hooked up Pheno 2 plants are beyond ready.

Its at this point, I would like to invite @Greenleaf Nutrients into this grow. The makers of the always reliable Mega Crop. I have used Mega Crop in all of my grows here in Das Schloss and can't recommend it enough to fellow growers.

Nutes = 5 g/ gallon Mega Crop
Vpd = 30 degrees C / 75 % Rh
its going to another hot week.
Light is drawing 105 watts, freshly bumped up from 65 watts.

A perculiar thing has happened with the stunties, on their own part, they've grown quad'ed already. No snipping required. No wonder why they were taking so long.

So, I trimmed them up accordingly and quad'ed out whatever I could, then bumped the light up. Its been a challenging propagation, but Im finally on the straight road now and its time to find some new gears.

Looks like everything is finally on track, and a couple of your Quadulating Grow Balls® are going to feel left out now!

Upcanning.

Nutes = Miracle Gro Bloom
Dosage = 3/4 Scoop / 5 Gallon
Vpd = 28 degrees C / 60 % Rh
its going to another hot week.
Light is drawing 120 watts, freshly bumped up from 105 watts.

The larger Pheno 2 plants are starting to outdrink their juvenile pots. Its time to re pot into their forever pots and look at some binding. I would normally be up canned and thinking about flipping to flower by now, but the stunted Pheno 1 plants are holding me back. I want to let them veg a bit longer and fill out.

Pheno 1's

Pheno 2's

Cleaned out the under carriages of whatever I up canned and gave them a feeding of Miracle Grow Bloom. Its always tricky getting the dosage right on these particular feedings for me. I usually make it too spicey.

Next update they should look marvelous.

Today in Das Schloss.

A hard flip.

Nutes = Mega Crop
Dosage = 6g / Gallon
Vpd = 25 degrees C / 60 % Rh
Light is drawing 135 watts

Finally got to the point where I said "its time". I fear these might have gotten too big and depending on the stretch, may get out of hand.

So I slammed them into a 13/11 day. Will gradually bump up the wattage on the light every other day or so.
