Seedsman Comparison Grow: CPK & Dr. Seedsman

Ive not posted as often as Id like I was put on a continental shift of days/nights/days/nights on and on. I hated it so I quit and was supposed to start at a local johndeere dealership but due to covid-19 my start dates been pushed back. Hope everyone is safe and happy in the world it’s troubling times we live in.
The girls are well in about day 52 since flip week 8 due to height issues as in I flipped late and they stretched insanely I had 6 plants in the tent and culled 2 almost immediately after stretch. Humidity has been an issue ive got everything setup to vent outside now so problem solved but I have had some powdery mildew. CPK very resistant and DrCBD holding its own as well but the tops matured very quickly due to fans and being to close to the light. Took top mature buds today letting the rest go another week and see how they fill out.

DRCBD with some seriously solid buds going.

Hiya SmokeLake. This is not a great time to be without an income stream. Feels kinda precarious.
Plants look like they’ll go some way to taking the rough edges off for you. They look brilliant!
I’m using [the nute you asked about] and I’m more than happy with it. Mine are a week behind yours, leaves still a nice colour, still packing on bud weight. Trichs are nearly ripe - another week or two.

The two on the left are our Seedsman sisters. DrS at top, CPK below.

DrS left, CPK right.
Most current pix and the lights are out right now. Hoping to reassure you on the nute front.

Question for everyone: how are you using your Dr Seedsman? I have not grown a CBD variety before. Are you smoking her like normal or mainly turning her into edibles?

I’m very excited to try her. Tell you why. C’m here :hugs: no! not that close.

You know sometimes a smell can drop you back to a place in time?
I was so surprised to wrap my hands around a cola and inhale.
This might be kind of disgusting, I’ve been in two minds whether to share this, but you know what @SeedsMan this grow is about your product not about me and I’m really excited and it may turn out to be interesting.
Trying to place the smell I close my eyes and bang! it is more than thirty two years ago and I am leaning over a spoon full of poppy juice that I’m cooking for a fix. I open my eyes boom! I’m back in the twenty first century having survived all that.
[closed] whoa! [open] huh!..
..it’s been like this for a week now.
If these terps that seem to be getting louder persist through a cure I am going to be.. very interested to say the least.
I’m able to say without fear of contradiction that the opiate thing is behind me, I have had my last relapse. I don’t even have a hankering.
The nose on these flowers is fascinating, though.
The terps may change through here to harvest and a dry and cure, in which case this will have been a noteworthy (for me) moment in a grow. If the terps persist or get louder, well. We’ll see.

Question for everyone: how are you using your Dr Seedsman? I have not grown a CBD variety before. Are you smoking her like normal or mainly turning her into edibles?
The majority of my harvest will be turned to oil for capsules & gummies. My wife & I take them nightly to help us sleep.

I haven't gotten around to making the oil yet, so I've smoked a bit as well... most times, I'll roll a 50/50 with another strain. Nice mellow high when mixed.

Dr. Seedsman rosin is where it's at though! The flavor is outta this world!
Not really a "high" from it, but it will relax TF outta your body until you fall into a tranquil weed nap.

Hey gang! Got an update on my 30:1 group!

I took them out for a good defoliation and tying yesterday! They rebounded lovely and look great! They will be getting a transplant soon enough but for now these 1Gal pots are helping to keep them small!

This was then this morning after they bounced back

Keep up the awesome work everyone

Wow @Dutchman1990 you really stripped them down. Amazing how quickly they start to fill back in!
@SmokeLake I switched over to megacrop for the blooming phase of my last grow (in coco) and now I’m using it in my current with promix hp. It’s very user friendly and pretty forgiving as you get familiar with it too. I think you’ll like it too.

DAY 85/22 FLOWERING well I gave everyone a good pruning yesterday in my tent. Both my CPK and WW plants were extremely bushy in structure and needed a lot of lower branch removal. Actually all 6 of my current plants needed a good trim. Thankfully they already seem to of responded nicely to its haircut. . . and needed a watering too. Should be fun to see them swell over the coming weeks as we get closer to finishing. Plus even with all the Covid-19 shit going on. I should be receiving my medium freeze drier in 7 days :slide:

Hi everyone. I hope you’re all well.
Today is eight weeks since I flipped the light cycle on my Seedsman sisters.
The Critical Purple Kush is so floppy now that her flowers are getting heavy.
She is frosty and sticky.
The trichs are telling me to check again in a week.
The Dr Seedsman CBD 30:1 has just been a pleasure to grow. I’ve really enjoyed her symmetry and structure. Her flowers are absolutely enormous. The smell is, as noted, incredible.
Both plants just starting to show some late colours. They have slowed down drinking from 2 litres every 2 days to 2 litres every 3 days. Things are winding down.

Stay safe everyone.

Looking good @Preston9mm and @DonkeyDick. I just cropped out. My CPK got me 5 jars and 2 from the dr. Another 2 from the gg4 and still got an auto that is good for 2 jars. My best yield easily in my 3x3. That CPK was the fastest growing and bulkiest strain I have grown yet. Props to @SeedsMan for a nice strain to grow. They both smell great , can’t wait to try them.

Sexy looking girls nice job :lot-o-toke: :nerd-with-glasses:

Took 7grams of dried DrCBD and pressed it for a .7g yield which I consider decent. Im going to try this when my banger is done soaking and cleaned up. Stay tuned!!

I’ll be transplanting them after a day or two of recovery. They are ready for some more elbow room for sure.
