I had flooded her really bad so I put those paper towels there to air her out because it lifted her off the plate, that paper.. my dr. recommendation:smokin:

For some reason these pics came out smaller, I think I was running low on memory on my camera so it sized them down

So are you long into flowering then? its late Nov, not sep. anymore...

So are you long into flowering then? its late Nov, not sep. anymore...

Haha! I WISH, I'm trying to get an HPS to do that and am currently doing research to see what a decent, stable system would be for anywhere from 2-4 plants in an 6.5' x 6.5' grow area I am going to construct, in my room, so heat will be an issue since the plants will be in an enclosed area, for me since I dont want a sauna AND most importantly I don't want hot air flowing out my window(s) for those flying IR cams, since they can't ask me to see my Dr. recommendation, they will just have LEOs come to my door or worse!

Any and all suggestions are highly appreciated!:allgood:

Wow, well you know you can flower under floros, the bud will not be dense but if you get some Good CFLs you can get some very good bud. It you know what your doing. Look up Boss's Poor Man Grow, thats all with CFLs and wow.

I will definitely have to consider that option since it has been mentioned to me, I did look but never got to look at the whole thing or the results, which I am VERY interested. I'll take a look right now and see what I can learn. Thanks for reminding me of that post again!

:peace:

do you plan on getting it within the next couple weeks? if you are you could start 12/12 now then blast em when you get the light. Just a thought, cuz they are going to stretch still.

I do plan on getting it in the next couple of weeks, but you know how plans are..

Someone suggested I do that with the lights I currently have, going from 18.5 hours to 12, I am just very concerned with density and overall medicinal value and wouldnt want to compromise that if possible. Yeah.. they've been stretching non-stop! I never intended for Widow to get over 4ft tall LOL!:thedoubletake: Which she currently is! I just hope shell produce like a 4 footer when I put her to the test!:rollit:

I am going to look at the CFL grow to see what those results are like for flowering and if it's convincing enough and much lower cost, I may go that route first, then upgrade to a digital ballast HPS :grinjoint:

The slice of potato should go on top of your soil, it will deter bugs from eating the plants cause the potato is just SOOOO tasty! haha. I HATE bugs, my last grow was gnat infested but after some neem and pest strips i got it under control.

Excellent! I'll have to try that, would Isopropyl(Rubbing Alcohol) work too? I stopped drinking a while ago, but if need be Ill buy a small bottle just for that!
^^
And i hope you are not drinking rubbing alcohol that shit will kill you!

lol, doesn't it all though? ^^
During the early stages of flowering, intense light isn't necessarily required. When we flip to 12/12 its a bit of a shock to them, when I used soil I would put new arrivals into the flower room around the edges of the light spread and leave the intense light for the ones finishing up. They could stretch a bit I guess, but the density is added later on. The important thing is it will get much bigger when you flip it and need AT LEAST a foot of space above the HID as well as 1'-4' below it to the plant canopy. Do the math, flower them today!!!!:thedoubletake:

Hey i was thinking, since the sun naturally slowly decreases daylight hours over a period of time obviously, could the same be applied to an indoor grow? Could i change the light from 18/6 over say a two week period down to 12/12 to try to reduce the shock? Just let me know if im retarted i was just thinking about this last night and wanted some answers...

^^ i was thinking the advantage would be to reduce shock, therefore helping plant growth and i tried looking it up in my grow bible but found little to nothing on the subject. Oh well, experiment time!

Seedling, whats up man....I'm curious to know if your plant has at least showed its sex yet. It would suck if that plant ended up male...All that work for nothing. If you wait to long to flower that plant it will outgrow your space, you have to realize that plant will still get taller as you flower it....Some strains will grow taller than other throughout flowering.

I shall do the potato today! I can't stand bugs either because they harm my plants, I'll have to pick up some more strips. I've thought about the NEEM but I've also had people suggest Gnatrol, GoGnat(I think) and :

"Organocide Insecticide and Fungicide

Prevent the most common pest problems before they affect your houseplants. This easy-to-use organic insecticide and fungicide controls spider mites, fungus gnats, scale, mealy bugs, whiteflies and aphids. It smothers eggs, larvae and soft-bodied adult insects, and is even effective against fungal diseases like powdery mildew and black spot. Active ingredient is sesame oil. 1 quart makes 16 gallons of spray or soil drench. Use indoors or out. Use on vegetables, fruits, nuts, vine crops, herbs, ornamentals, greenhouse crops, landscape plants, bulbs, flowers and field crops.

Always test a small area of your plant and wait a few days before continuing with a full treatment."

Ever hear of those or know much about them, experiences, etc? I appreciate all the help! LOL no way, I would never even think of drinking rubbing alcohol, I don't even drink beer man! I know thats what it looks like because I worded it improperly though:laughtwo:

Hmm, so starting the flowering process now under my current lamp setup.. how would that affect my overall outcome? I just don't want to end up with smaller, looser buds by being impatient, trust me, I've been fighting the urge! PLUS I am in the process of setting up a cloning area and I moved one of my light fixtures above the shelf in the closet to do this, but havent put up the mylar or taken care of completing that yet, because I procrastinate sometimes lol, but from what I've been reading, and noticing on my girls is that since I've taken the second lamp away, the internods have gotten bigger and the plants seem to be growing much less dense as well :(, time to put that lamp back! I'll just put CFL's up there since taking a close look at Boss's Poor Mans Grow! EXCELLENT MATERIAL!! Thanks for suggesting that because it really impressed me, and with that I'll be teaching other patients that method and referring them to the site too :ganjamon:

totally, but I read somewhere, I think the grow bible, that there isnt any advantage.

I think that sounds perfectly logical.. however sometimes reality defys logic and I'm just an FNG so I dunno :smokin:

Oh yes, definitely females! I got them both from clones from Dispensaries here in CALI, plus I can tell by looking at them, wish I had a better camera :( all I have is my disconnected Helio Ocean which has like a 2mpx built in and the close up photos are crap, Ill take some and post them anyway though just to see if I can manage to get somewhat of a clear shot for ya :D

:rollit:

If tha bugz aren't harming you plants, which the gnats, aphids and leaf-hoppers that i have are'nt, leave em'. My aphids keep my soil churned like worms the others i don't know yet, but i do know if you go organic or are using compost in your soil U need these critters!!!!! Don't kill any bugs of unless you have DIRECT PROOF they are causing your problems. By the way there are several species of aphid most are cool to cannabis!!
