So I got some thoughts on new lighting.....since the winter is coming super fast. What do you guys think about running HPS through the winter to actually help heat the space? I have just the worst baseboard heaters throughout the apartment and in that room I 100% need to run space heaters all winter long to maintain temps. Both suck the moisture out of the air pretty heavily as well.
 
Yup, but try and use the HPS as supplemental and not by itself. I have often thought of putting a couple 250HPS's in action i have but the amount of light i have plus the heat mat...all is ok. Just the friggen RH is the concern. Like everyone else in the dead of winter.
 
Have they gotten that first drink after transplanting yet bud?

These other methods and soils work, don't get me wrong OK. I know cuz i've tried them. My reasons for using Doc's gear are quite plentiful. TBH , the only thing that gets me a lil pissed, are the friggen shipping prices from Doc, to me, here in Canada. Other than that , i believe his system, his 'kit' as it's known is far superior . The main difference is, Doc's soil has been tested and 'worked' on by the 'Lab' and he , himself over years, who also has a degree in 'Botany' . There is science behind it , most of the guess work has been removed . You've heard this speech before....:passitleft:

OK, ... :passitleft:sounds good. GI has a lot of Ca in it. Pretty sure Doc suggested GI cuz of it. All ya gotta do now , is alternate Drenches with plain water w/Tea in between. Sometimes , give em 1/4 Trans with that plain water, and Tea. Try and always alternate the Drenches. So, this is how i would proceed .GI Drench w/tea , Water w/1/4 Trans and Tea, Transplant Drench w/Tea , water w/Tea, GI Drench w/Tea, Water w/1/4 Trans and Tea.....etc.

I never try to slow a plant down either. I might break one of its legs or even top it, but I want them fast and happy throughout their short lives. Sometimes, despite best efforts, plants can look kinda pitiful towards the end. I don't like those very much. I want a plant/strain that leans and stretches towards the finish line...not one that limps towards it. If you slow it down intentionally on the root zone, you only ask for trouble.

It’s a cold one today in Alberta! Snow on the ground! And a high of 1 today. From a high of 18 yesterday #facepalm
