Nice!!! I wish I could run a large crop at once, but I’ve very limited in space.

I got my MoC Carnival seed order in exactly two weeks from ordering. No issues at all. Packaging and stealth was nice. No freebies or anything, but I did get 11 seeds instead of 10. I also got two Zensation seeds to push my order into free shipping. :thumb:

Carnival is tempting. Sue raves about it all the time, and I’m curious to see what the effect would be for me. I’m more of an indica fan, but I have friends who like sativas.

Wow 30 plants, somebody DGAF. Good luck. You should be able to spend your way through a first grow right?

Amateurs.

I'll be honest and admit that I haven't purchased a seed since the beginning of my second grow journal. Being SweetSue came with unexpected benefits, most obviously the enormous, ever-growing seed bank I keep sharing from. It's in a constant state of flux.

Carnival may be the finest sativa I've come across, and believe me, I've smoked quite a few in the past three years. It's a soaring, clear-headed and highly-motivated euphoria with absolutely no crash. You know that yawn that creeps over you with sativas just as the THC roars into the bloodstream? You don't get that with Carnival. All she offers is good vibes and lots of energy.

I consider it head and shoulders above the rest. It may simply be my personal reaction, but I've watched member after member discover the same. You start growing one, and before you know it you always have at least one in the current rotation.

I don't have time to read all the way from the beginning, what with vacation preparations, but you guys had me rolling on the floor with laughter for the first four pages. It works different for me, kinda the way it does for lights. I decide I want them and they show up. Very little research ever goes into either my seeds or my lights. I desire, the universe delivers. Works well for me, and for all the members now growing out those genetic packages that traveled through my hands to theirs.

This wasn't at all the way I expected it to be. Lol!

Changing my report on GYO seedbank. They never answer the phone or to emails about problems with orders. Had 20 seeds of NL fail to pop, while I had 25 of the same strain, from a different manufacturer pop in less than half the time 4 days vs 9. Giving it one more day. Going on 48 hours of no reply to my ticket. As of now, I would not advise to order from them. Hoping they change my mind. Ill be using sponsors of this site from here on out.

:passitleft:Have you planted and danced on the correct night for the phase of the moon, ancient rituals say your seed will rot if incorrectly timed:hmmmm::Namaste:

I'm about ready to crush and eat the things, so as to get SOME KIND OF USE out of them. I've only got... IDK, 100, more or less, "named strain" seeds - but I found a 4"x4" Ziploc stuffed full of random old ones night before last. Just some random bag-seed collection I was given (used to happen a couple times per year) with "Mostly $25-$40/quarter with a few decent ones" written on it with a marker, lol. In other words, birdseed ;) . I'm tempted to start trying to sprout them instead of my good(?) ones. But I no longer have the time/money/equipment/space to go on the Great MexiBrick Strain Hunt.

Anyone have a heavy duty garlic press I could borrow for two minutes?

I''ve been thinking about it. Shame my cat isn't a vegetarian. She was kind enough to eat that can of tuna some nice - but utterly misguided - person gave me a while back. But she won't touch cannabis seeds. Or grocery store brand "Vienna Sausages."

I've been so busy ranting that I forgot all about trying to start any seeds, LMFAO. I did manage to remove the ONE SEED that I had sense enough to stick into the fridge six or seven years ago. Sucks that the thing hasn't been able to maintain a stable, cool temperature for at least half that time, but... Maybe it'll germinate? I kind of hope it does. It's a Sativa Seedbank (Nirvana) Royal Flush, formerly known as Nirvana Special (if I remember correctly) - and it has been discontinued by the breeder, so I won't ever see another one of them.

It's also supposed to be 50% Oaxacan highlands sativa - which makes it very appealing to me, as I don't think I have anything else in the collection that has that claim attached to it. I've put off trying to sprout it because I had been wanting to save it until I had some pollen, so that I could do some breeding, hopefully one donor complimentary to it and one far from it, and maybe keep the mother alive long enough to do some multi-generational working. (Which would have been "somewhat" hampered by only having the one mother, but...) Also because I have been thinking more and more that the odds against it germinating are somewhere south of "slim" - and I get tired of disappointments.

Let's see... Reasonably clean disposable cup: CHECK. Factory-sealed half-liter bottle of water: CHECK. Unused emery board I found last time I was in Mom's basement and looking for something for her (can't find any clean sandpaper here) that I can use to rough up the seed case in general and the edges specifically: CHECK. Isopropyl alcohol and paper towel to wipe off hands: CHECK. Bottle of 3% H₂O₂, so I can pour a couple caps full into the cup and drop the seed into it for 30 seconds or so before pouring in a couple inches of water, both to help sterilize anything that might be on the seed and to provide an O₂ boost to the water: CHECK. Woo-Hoo, I'm ready to go!

Ohwaitaminute... WtF did I do with the SEED?

I hate it when stuff like this happens, lol. It was around here somewhere... I'll remember where I parked it when my stress level drops; right now it's so high that I'm hearing faint pre-war jazz music, complete with singer, in the background to accompany my tinnitus (don't ask - we all have our little issues ;) ).

Starting to feel like a doggone newbie.

My new way to decide on strains. Write down any new or interesting strains every year. Check back in 5 years and if they are still around then buy some. Solid genetics will stand out. Over time I have bought lots of strains that I don't know if I will ever grow now. Why grow a strain that I know is not as strong or flavorful as others I have. Flavors and smell improve over time also so in ways newer is better. If you buy strains every few years and only purchase the one's that have stood the test of time is a lot better way to do things now days. When there were only a few hundred strains out there you could own the great genetics. Now with 1000's of new hybrids out there it is just not the same.
