Just can't get the Pro-tekt to cooperate, I read quite a few people have the similar issues, but oh well

Back to what works indeed

Dont blame you bro. Do what works for you. That's what I love about 420. We support that which works well for our fellow growers. I've only done AN and remo and I've been happy. Kinda scared to try something new at this point lol
 
How do you like that Remo kit? I have it and about the only thing I will probably use from it is the kelp stuff and even that only 3-4 times throughout the entire grow. Haven't really seen anyone using them yet. What are your thoughts?

I've tried a few different nutes, Fox Farm, AN Sensi pH perfect, the GH Flora Trio and this short stint with Dynagrow

The GH has been the best so far, wish the Dynagrow worked out better because it seems really easy. But the GH is easy and inexpensive so I'll just roll with it

Gonna do RO water, forgot to put some tap out to de-chlorinate, and I'll run the Rhino Skin and Terpinator as well

So do you think it was the heat messing with the dyna grow in the res? I have had really good luck with AN in coco but It takes me a while to get the PH stable in DWC with it. It would seem that the GH line doesn't try to mess with PH and is more stable that way. I thought about trying GH if I can't get the AN to be stable. What are your thoughts on PH stability with GH?

I've never had any PH issues with the GH or Rhino Skin in DWC , besides in the big tubs where I had 2 or 3 plants in them, too many roots and not enough water movement I think

I'm sure my issue is the Pro-tekt silica. It's strong stuff and just won't dissolve or disperse correctly. Maybe it's an old batch, no date on the little jugs, I've tried 4x and it just won't cooperate

So I'll go back to the GH. I may mess with it again down the road, not sure yet

Could be, but quite a few others are using Air Stones... so not sure
 
All swapped out

pH at 5.8 after mixing it up

See the goopies, had to rinse the roots in clean water , they got bad

Man that is bad, I’ve never seen anything like that. My airstones and lines stay just as clean as can be. I’m thinking your protekt is old but that’s just a guess. They should have to put exp date if you ask me.✌️

Yeah that's really goopy for that short amount of time! Odd indeed but seems like you got it covered. Hows the weather there bud? Looking forward to some AZ sun come next week

I’ve never used but I wouldn’t assume that is normal lol! As long as your plants are ok it’s a good thing you caught it!

No, it's a clear liquid

But it will turn to gelatin fast if it isn't mixed correctly

I'm thinking it's old or something

I've never had an issue with Rhino Skin, which is similar to Pro-tekt
