Thanks Enfourtwo-oh, I am now waiting on you for the next crazy Barbie tea and tiara party
Should have the tea party underway soon! Ordered some more seeds a couple of days ago and it looks like they will be here next week!

Just because I missed the start of this grow we’re all those plants clones or did you pop seeds? I think I need to figure out a better way to store my seeds, I keep them tucked away in a drawer but with all the duds I’ve been getting it’s time to figure something else out.

Those are all clones.

I have never bought seeds. I am too cheap. So generally speaking I germinate 1 and use the toppings for clones to mass the grow out.

The only seeds I have are the ones I have won from contests or sponsorships (Black Sugar, Blue Gelato, Girl Scout Cookies. Next grow may consist of OG Kush, Northern Lights.) And like you I have them tucked away in a tin, in a drawer. Those are starting to get old now too. Coupled on top of that, I will be taking a bit of a break from growing as my jars are full and travel is on the horizon.

So when I do start the next grow, it will be with even older seeds. Using your luck as a barometer, that may not fare so well for me.

I tend to run most of my grows so far from seed, mostly because I like to have various strains to try.

I did run some clones of the same strain last year for a few consecutive runs and while it was nice not having to deal with germinating seeds I ended up with a bunch of jars of the same stuff and wanted something different.

I know what you mean about having full jars and taking a bit of a break. That’s one of the reasons I disappear on here, I have a bunch of full jars and don’t feel the need to continually grow how much weed does someone need! I did one grow in the spring and it was enough to keep me stocked up for the entire year. I did grow in the summer and got reminded why I don’t like to grow in the summer lol.

Just taking a break....enjoying the last crop. :volcano-smiley:
I figure to drop seeds at the start of May and immerse myself again....thanks for checking in on me William!

New Grow Starts Here.

Its time to start another grow for Das Schloss after a 4 month hiatus. In that time, I have been working on my golf game by hitting indoor and outdoor driving ranges, getting some new to me equipment, hitting into screens playing sim golf, and watching a lot of Rick Shiels YouTubes.

Most work Ive ever done for my game.....eagerly anticipating some results.

But now its time to steal away some of that focus and shift it towards growing again. Today I will be dropping these seeds for a overnight soak and then straight into small pots, thereby skipping the paper towel stage.

The Blue Gelato seeds are a little on the old side (2 years) and the Northern Lights aren't too far behind. Lets see how they germinate.

Drop the Boogie.

Good to see you back Bvb!
Looks like a good line up planned, hopefully those beans germ for you with no issues.

If your golf game is as good as your grow game you’ll be killing it on the course in no time!

Ahhhhh.....
Golfing and smoking weed. 2 great tastes that taste great together!

God bless you Enfourtoo-oh!

I didn't even notice the seeds on that cool back-lit keyboard!

If 2-year-old seeds are a problem I'm completely screwed!

:goodluck: with the germ and the golf game.
If you could coax some Galaxial forces for them....that'd be great.

What are you using for a sim golf setup? I built a sim in my garage based on Optishot but haven't really used it and now it's cluttered up with a bunch of extra furniture from my in-laws move.

The biggest gains I ever had came from reading and implementing Dave Pelz Short Game Bible. Dedicated a summer to it. Briefly had the handicap down to a 2 but it settled in more in the 4-6 range. Was a 10-12 before that. Now I'm probably lucky to be a 16. Don't play, don't practice, and have had 2 bones removed in my left wrist that make the game more difficult.

Lemme recharge my crystal meth and I'll see what I can work up for ya.

I hear that Tent Chickens work better than crystals. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

To be clear, I dont have my own golf sim setup....I wish I did. It was a business that you would book a foursome for. Great for our Canadian Winters. Those were using GC quads for launch monitors. I have checked out a few YouTubes on building your own and have seen the Optishots.

A 2 handicap would have been something to be proud of! I would previously peg my handicap before at about 20 and Im thinking I shaved off 4-5 strokes in the off season.

Until you fall under its soul sucking spell.....

And we're off....

Went away to the Sommerpalast for the weekend and checked in on the little weedlings.

3 of the 4 have a little bit of tipping on the cotlys, looks like my medium was a little hot for the weedlings. It was re-used pro mix from the last grow and I probably used too high of a feeding to moisten the soil with.

Now that they have germinated, I will terminate the usage of the heating mat.

Stay funky Bros!

Hmmm...neither I would say.

  • Black/Grey
  • Very small...too small to see eyes, definately no red.
  • Like a miniature house fly.
  • Dumb as shit...they dont move when you squish them.
  • Silvery wing sheen.

Pretty sure they were from the compost bin.
Sounds like Drosophilia Melanogaster, the common fruit fly. I used to have a tshirt that had the lifecycle of that insect on it, something we studied in like 7th grade science class, and I've never forgotten the scientific name nor the characteristics. Yeah, early science geek here. Just saying hello as @InTheShed directed me here, and you have a very interesting journal. Glad I stopped in, thanks, and thanks Shed.

:yahoo:

Looked up Sommerpalast on Google and from the first image of your place it looks like you've done very well for yourself!
Nothing like that...think more pretzel and schnitzel like.

Yussssss! No stale beans here.

Shed directed you here did he?:hmmmm:

Then here is where you shall be....Let me welcome you to my humble digital garden and thank you for posting and sharing our common interest. :nerd-with-glasses:
