Schloss Von Blurple

That video brings back memories
:thanks:
Which for the record has nothing to do with weed. The Dutchie thats being referred to in the song is a Dutch Oven. But it has more street cred if you slang it for weed.

They seem to be enjoying themselves.
Other than the pots, your style was my inspiration. Sauga has been a steady influence and glad to have your keen eye and steady hand as well.

Finally read all the way through the thread. They've definitely turned the corner, especially in the last 10 days.

Just to clarify, my conversion scale for volume to weight with Mega Crop, a slightly mounded, but not heaping, 1/8tsp = 1g. So a slightly mounded 1/2 tsp = 4g. 5ml=1tsp is for liquids and shouldn't be used for solids. Example, a teaspoon of talcum powder will not weigh the same as a teaspoon of lead. I have a slightly mounded teaspoon of Mega Crop around 8g.

Thanks for the clarification Farside.

For the most part I have been going with a completely level teaspoon measuring spoon and that has been working fine for me. I did weigh it on my cheapo scale and it came out to anywhere between 5 and 6 grams. I dont really trust it as it has no tenths of decimal point, but it was good to give me a starting point. I am basing that level teaspoon at 5.5 grams

What I started last grow, was about every 4th watering, I'd run a couple gallons of plain tap water through them and then immediately come back on top of that with a gallon of feed. I used the straight water to rinse out any excess, unused nutes, and keep the intended N-P-K balance. It was the first time I didn't get any burnt tips. If you're feeding on the heavier side it might be a good idea to try.

I did notice that in your journal and I really haven't come to a conclusion as to what I'm going to do. I have no sign of tip burn and have that green to me, I can tell is Mega Crop green...you just notice plants on MC regiment by its green.
Saugs says he hasn't seen a need to flush, I'm not sure if Shed does. Certainly it makes sense.

I believe @MrSauga refers to it as verdant green.

I hesitate to call it a "flush". It's nowhere close to 3x the volume of the pot. I'm not real good at watering till a good 10-25% runoff each time. I'm a bit lazy and don't want to deal with the overflow in my plant trays. So instead I do the every 4th watering routine. I like to call it a "rinse" or "reset".

I don't think @InTheShed has been using rinse/reset method and I don't think he's one to water to the point of a lot of runoff either.

Because of the nature of my pots being somewhat hempy style, in that there is a half inch reservoir at the bottom of them. I have yet to water these pots to run off. That being said, they will probably receive one more light water before I send them into flower. At that time I will give them a rinse, dump out and let them drain fully, and then come back with a somewhat large nute water where I intend to put some niceness at the bottom of those pots for the roots to reach to. Ive been very careful up unto this point to keep that reservoir dry.

I'm back Sunday...tell me it's a Indian Summer for when I get back.
I’m afraid not! We had a high of 15 today in the capital, supposed to be nice tomorrow, then crap all weekend.. not sure what it’s going to do down south... any moisture coming off the mountains at this time of the year.. it may not be good! :nervous-guy:
