Schloss Von Blurple

Today is the beginning of a new grow, The 420 Magazine Girl Scout Cookie Comparative.

I will be briefly touching on things here on the perpetual, but it will be a seperate journal that I invite you to pop in and check out this high profile grow with some really great and well known growers.

As for other goings on, the low and slow in Das Schloss is keeping a perfect 60 and 60 for the last 7 days. Stems are still rubbery and taking their time drying out. I anticipate this weekend the final trim should happen.

The last 2 days I have been trimming and have finally finished. As promised, I have a few bud pics to hang out there. I must say this was the most horrible trim I have had yet. A lot of small, time consuming larfy stuff, and the tops were not that large. I do think its going to be potent though, quality looks good. Yield is....meh.

Also the low and slow hang couldnt have worked out better in the tent. I still could have gone a week in there and they would have still been rubbery. Conditions were easily held for optimum low and slow....but I did have to get on with the show and clear them out, otherwise I would have left them another week.

Quality of the buds is definitely high Bvb! That last shot you posted really shows off the frost and it is absolutely coated!

I want to do something similar with my drying when I cut my plants down in a couple of weeks. Probably won’t be hanging whole plants Mrs.N my trimmer, can’t stand trimming dried buds but I like the idea of drying in the tent to keep the drying environment as perfect as possible! I usually dry in my garage but it’s pretty hard to get the right environment in there for drying low and slow!

This time of the year was perfect!

The whole hang of the plant really keeps the moisture in too, those leaves just banana wrap around the buds and hold it all in. Unlike Mrs Enfourtwo oh, I am leaning towards a dry trim now. I have had my fill of wet trimming for a while.

By the way, I would also like to make note that The Baroness, for the first time has commented on the smell....harvest day! Throughout the entire grow, no filter on and I could smell it like mad for the last month.

Not the Baroness.

I guess, thats a good thing.

Your buds look great. I’ll take quality over quantity any day.

Also the low and slow hang couldnt have worked out better in the tent.
Please excuse me, but I forgot how long you’ve had them doing the L&S in the tent?

Interesting. Care to expand on that. I’m always interested in process improvements.

Ill take both :)

It was 11 days and could have easily done another week.

In the extremely few cases of this harvest, I found you can just take the scissors and scrape away a lot of the dry leaves as opposed to cutting them. Due to most of this harvest still being rubbery and moist, a lot of plant material didnt exactly clip away nicely. However you would need your plants to be pretty dry to scrape unwanted debris away. Probably more dry than you should have them if preserving terpenes and trichs methinks.

Love the frost on those nugs Baron, and like Mrs N420, I am a wet trimmer for all sorts of reasons!
Well, I hope your both available for my next one....doing it alone is tedious.

I should have linked here to here and there to there to complete the silliness is what I should have done....and Shed doesnt even smoke

Did everybody charge their geodes, crystals and the like last night?

Fully charged! Perfect time to drop some beans! I agree on some of the benefits trimming dry. I've found these benefits through laziness in the past. I just started reading about low and slow. Always thought the concept made sense but you all here have taken it to another level. Anyway, happy Tuesday. Congrats on the harvest and full moon bean drop

Phone...does that count?

Thanks MG, now go out and enjoy the weather!

Der Hinterhof lebt

Its been a long time since a update has been done here. Due to my participation in the Girl Scout Cookies comparative, there isnt a lot of non sponsored material I have to spit out. So here is a little Hinterhof action with the sole player being a bag seed Black Sugar that we shall see how it plays out.

I will take cuttings of it sometime in late August just in case it turns out to be a female.

Stay funky Bros!
