Excellent update and explanation of the process at this step. Also, excellent symmetry to really show what you accomplished by doing this step! Great job my friend!

Thanks Magoo! Coming from an OG means a lot! :namaste:

Beautiful job Mr. S!! The only thing I can think of to tack on (for information’s sake only, yours is fab) is, when you’re pulling down those arms, make sure they’re still at an upward angle and not out flat. Like a wide Y, if that makes sense?
This is true HH. I messed this up on my Chemdog. I trained them straight out. And actually the part of the branches closest to the trunk were a little higher than a couple inches out from there. So they had kinda a “U” shape. Only slightly though. But this caused the inner shoots to grow at a much faster pace than the ends. This happened because of a plant hormone that promotes cell division and stem growth. Gravity plays a role in the way these hormones, auxins, effect the growth of the plant. So when the auxins moved out of the main trunk the plant basically became disoriented in a way. It started pumping the majority of the growth hormones into the tips of the inner shoots leading them to outgrow everything else. I actually had to put supports under the branches so that as I trained, it wouldn’t become worse. I ended up not being able to train her all the way out to the edge. Here is a pic showing how the middle was outgrowing the ends...
It was a valuable lesson learned.

I think that may also have been compounded by the fact those pots were large. If they were smaller I'm assuming they wouldn't have gotten that long. Great info Magoo! Thanks!

Nice info Mr. Magoo, I think it may have been you that I learned that from? Hard to remember exactly where you pick up tid bits, eh? (Canadianese Sauga!) Plus a stoner’s memory! :laughtwo: Those tall middles look like they could’ve been good supercropping candidates.

They definitely could have. I ended up just training them down to level everything out.

Day 33 Update

Hey everybody!

Lots to talk about and so little time. First a quick pick of the THC Bomb quad in FFOF. Meh, I don't expect much. The last grow with my PE autos the plant height on the quad didn't grow as high as the messed up quad. I'm seeing the same results now. My feeling is that it's too much stress doing a quad on an auto. Although it looks good from afar, it's far from good.
The main stalks are fattening up but the branches are spindly and she's showing signs of pistils now so she'll be flowering soon.

Next we're moving right along to my second attempt at a twinline. This GG in FFOF is resembling the start of mainlining, specifically the nugbuckets method, so we can't take someone else's method and just rename it. That would be wrong.
Whatever happens with this one should end up producing more colas, as mainlining does more pruning then I will be.
First pic is of the leaves that I had to remove to get light to the center. The second pic is with the leaves removed and the plant being trained outward.

This is my final change to an attempt at a twinline. The GG in MGOS is the victim this time. Node three and four were left intact and everything else was removed. The new growth coming out of node four was also removed.
This time, if all works like it did in my dream, the fouth node will continue to grow upwards with the plant. Then I chop it off!
Right now it's node three with the new growth. It's hard to see in the pic but trust me when I say there is no new growth at node four.

That's all for now. Gotta go eat a bowl of Oatmeal Crisp and some chocolate chip cookies, Sauga style. Dunked in the cereal.

:Rasta:

Cookies in cereal milk sounds solid to me.

I wondered if that much training (quading) an auto would be too much. I've never tried that type of training at all. My experience is limited to topping and bowl training.

Day 35 Update

Hey everybody!

No update today, just a few select pics. I'm really amazed at theses GG's, so strong and thick. The leafs are silky smooth to the touch. They would make the best bedsheets for a few minutes.

I need to get me some free Fastbuds seeds. It's my second all Fastbuds grow and I predominantly grow autos. How do you go about getting sponsored?
