Well!!! It's NOT like it's taking up MUCH space now is it? Here is the other plant. Looking at it I think I might have left the second node on by mistake. I think I actually got a photo good enough that you can see what needs to be seen. Let's celebrate that picture...LOL But she didn't miss a beat and started growing again a day after topping and removing the lower nodes.

OK, so you can still take the second node off. Your plants are growing much faster. You would want to start pulling the fourth node down now to match up with the third node height. Requires some way to tiem them down.
In your case there's nothing you can do in the pop bottle. The quad training requires the nodes to grow to the sides of the pot and then let them go vertical. Yours are already there.
It's a matter of defol for you and taking the main fan leaves off under the node three.
I will be doing this tonight or tomorrow depending on how much growth mine has had today.

Save it for science!

Interesting start on the twin line sauga! I hope it comes shape how you are envisioning it!
It's gonna work Dutch. I just have to get the timing and method right ;)
Thanks brother!

This is the part you will be doing if you had the room.

So I posted a thread on a new golf course opening in Smith Falls, called Rolling Greens. It's the first Cannabis themed golf course. I posted it thinking Canadians would enjoy hearing about it. Then it got me to thinking about a 420 members tournament at this golf course on a Saturday sometime towards the end of summer, mid to late Aug.

I'm just putting the feelers out there to see what kind of interest, if any, this may generate. Anybody and everybody would be welcome. What a great way to meet and try everybodies creations.

Golfing anyone!

I don't golf but I'm thinking I would be a heck of an electric cart driver/statistician.

I took off the main fan leaves below the 3rd node. I also bent the four branches downwards and will do this whenever I think of it during the day. About the best I can do in a 2 liter bottle. It's how I train most of my plants by just bending down the branches.

Anyone recognize the plant in this second picture? I found this plant hiking in the mountains about 6 or 7 years ago. It's a shade loving plant. If it's in the sun it dies down but comes back the next spring to do it all over again. Awfully darn pretty and look beautiful in my Hosta garden.

OK, so I'm not sure what your plant is doing. Somewhere along the line it lost it's quad form. I'm seeing three different nodes.
I'm doing an update Beez shortly. It'll take me half an hour or so to get some pics up.

Oh I give up. I need to have one of my two autos actually finish with at least one bud on it so I'll know if the cross created is worth a darn. I'll follow along to try to learn a thing or two.

Day 23 Update

Hey everybody!

Today's update is earlier than I would like. Normally I would wait until I had more growth on this auto but I feel I need to get it out here now.

So the basics again for quadlining are to have four main branches on your plant. In order to achieve this the plant needs to be topped down to node four. You don't top that fourth node, you top down to it. That will be the upper leg of the quadline.
Then you remove everything under the third node, The third node remains and it becomes your lower leg. So we now have two legs growing opposite of each other.
Each of those legs will now grow new nodes, as seen in earlier pictures by the pretty arrows I used. Thos are the new nodes that get trained.

So in the next two pics you will see the plant before defol and before the training. The second pic shows the pegs inserted into the soil for training.

The next pic is of the four main fan leaves now removed. You can clearly see how much smaller visually the plant looks. All the other leaves were left intact. Pegs have been placed into the soil for training.

Next pic shows you the plant being trained at node four. The arrows in yellow point to the nodes that are being trained. The blue arrows are the nodes at level three, which are not trained just yet. We are trying to get node four down level with three.
Two yellow and two blue are the four mainlegs that are the structure to the plant.

In the yellow circles on the next pic, you can see I made a small bend, like a j-hook, on my tickler, which is now anchored to the peg. As I push the peg into the soil, the node gets pulled down. You have to be gentle and can't pull to hard. If you snap it, grab some tape and tape it back together at the break.

Summary:
So as I said at the beginning, I have rushed through this stage in training. You'd like to have more length on your nodes before bending them down. My plant is stressed pretty good right now, as you can see in the droop. In a day or two she should bounce back and be her old self again.

We have been able to get our four main legs growing out, two top ones and two bottom ones. The next stage will be in about a week as I need her to get back to health.
:Rasta:

Ok, all caught up on your secret journal Sauga. You can’t hide from me!! Aaaaaand..
From the saugaview

You definitely can’t use my catch phrase if I’m not invited to your secret party!! ;)

Things are progressing nicely, and I love the little umbrella shade idea. Great job troubleshooting those seedlings and getting another gg going. Interested to see what comes of the single-node-sister too. :high-five:

Oh my, I feel like a dog with his tail between his legs. I'm a humble guy and let people find me instead of making people feel obligated to watch the journal.
I promise I wont do that again :)
Can I use the catch phrase now? :hugs:

Lmao, only because I love you so Sauga!! :hugs: I don’t have time to be searching the inter webs to see if Sauga has any secret journals - I need an invite! You see what happens when I come crashing in, knocking over tables, turning all muscly and green!

Too funny... it reminded me of something I have coming in from the zon. I'll be sure to tag you once it's situated. Another secret I guess :p

Lol, secrets are good, just not secret journals :D:love:
I can’t wait! I love amazon, why go out and talk to people when they’ll just bring it to my door instead?! #easylife

I agree, but the drivers I find want to be chatty now...ugh!

Hey hey mr.Sauga thoroughly enjoyed the last 4-5 pages...... :snowboating: Especially with mr.Beez and yourself with the twin line....haha, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why you snipped those 2 nodes off other than cpl posts you said " I got this " ...haha
Brother you made my wake and bake this morning and mr.Beez you are a gentleman for following mr.Sauga and not shooting him yet....haha

@beez0404 with your quadline girl in the soda bottle it's an easy fix to train those arms properly, drill 2 holes just beneath the rim of the soda bottle on opposite sides of each other and insert a wooden skewer through the holes it gives you an anchor point for the lst on the branches....do 4 skewers 1 each side gives you a square which you can extend if needs be.. Or those thin wooden rods at the hardware store.

Can I drop a pic mr.Sauga I'm sure you won't mind....edit will have to snap a pic for ya..
