OMG, lol. I'm not sure mine is even going to grow! Mine is still experimental, where if this doesn't work my other process was going on the GG. I'm afraid to tell you I may have done it wrong
I should have wrote not to try this at home yet!

If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out. But you can't fly if you don't flap your wings my grandma always used to say. Yea I wouldn't either Beez, as I see what mine looks like now. I have already topped the GG, from a quad to a twin, with a slightly different look. I removed everything but the third node and the new nodes coming out.
I should have left the new growth coming out from the third on the THC. Now it looks like how it did the first time I made the mistake a few months ago.

The THC Bomb I did the experiemnt on though has really perked up and looks fantastic, but I don't think she's going to pump out any new nodes. I'm a waiting and a seeing. It's a weed, so it has to figure something out right?

No, you're good on that. You wont have a problem as it's the quadline method.
If you recall earlier I mentioned I don't recommend the twinline as I'm learning it myself. It's the quadline that we are doing together. The first twinline was a mistake, the second one I just did. Will post pics soon.

I often wondered how much FF soil it took to fill a 5 gallon since it seemed pretty expensive. So you are saying just over a bag, and a bag is $17? Ouch! Out of a Pro Mix bale, I get 8 - 5 gallons for $40 (or $5 each). Yes I realize it's kind of apples to oranges, one is soil with some kind of nutrients and one is soil-less with no nutrition. Doesn't the FF stuff only carry a grow so long then growers have to turn to turn to a bottle? At least my thinking, if I'm gonna use a bottle for nutrients, I'll just start em that way from the beginning. I can feed for an entire grow for under the $12 cost difference (about $5 per plant for nutes start to finish). #ramblingsofatightass

I have been looking for this info. Thanks, farside, I am switching to ProMix; I think I am paying over $20.00 per 5-gallon pot with my current Coco and worm casting and perlite mix.

So, here's a pic of the GG, which started out as a quad along with the THC Bomb, has now been topped to a twin. The pic shows the growth I left here, where the THC Bomb had it removed.

From Quad to twin... but is it?

Even after looking at it now, that center stem, where the fourth node was attached, doesn't seem to be right. It doesn't look like it will grow taller. That was a big part of the whole process.
I wish I knew what I knew then, now! Regardless, it's going to be fine with the new growth.

The next pic is just showing the new nodes coming out of the THC Bomb that was topped a couple of days ago.

The plant I hacked up, and the one that you quickly scissorhanded, will most likely amount to nothing. But it looks pretty!
My second plant, the GG, I cut off all the leafs and is my second attempt at the twinline. So, don't worry about the twinline. You and I are doing the quad, which you should send me a pic so I know you didn't scissorhand that one too
That one we'll be training, but I'd like to see how far your new nodes have grown out from nodes three and four.
