I absolutely agree that for something like this, you save up and go for the best one you can manage. A good vaporizer will last you a long time with no degradation of quality. I have the Volcano Digit, the Cadillac, and it has turned me into a snob.

Taking in vapour instead of smoke is a completely different experience. There’s no comparison in taste - when you vape, you get the true flavour, whereas smoking might give hints of that flavour behind the wall of smoke. Mark my words, with legalization weed is going to be like wine and cigars in the snobbery surrounding it in the future, based on the combination of flavours and effects. But I digress. The flavour is lost if you vape the same bowl multiple times, but the potency isn’t really, and it doesn’t get harsh like the assy last third of a j. There’s no lingering smell or stain on your fingers or even your clothes when you vape. You can vape indoors without leaving lingering odour, and without the odour going all through your house. You don’t get that lingering smoker’s cough and your throat isn’t left with a lingering taste of smoke. I find the high is different, and I will say that I do have a friend with a Mighty who prefers the smoked high to the vaped high, but most of my friends prefer the vaping experience overall. I find with a j, the high comes on quicker. I’ll get red eyes almost instantly after a j, but I don’t get red eyes at all with vapour. I find body effects can be more pronounced after a j, and that I get more of the dragged out feeling from smoking js. I try all of my weed in both smoked and vaped form, and I find it really hard to put a finger on how the high differs. I don’t know, smoking is a “dirtier” high and vaping is “cleaner”. I find vaping is not any less potent, in fact I think you can get higher on vapour from the same amount of bud - my personals usually end up way bigger than what I pack into the vapour bowl, and I usually do 2 sessions of 2 bags each from every bowl. So I feel like I’m at least doubling my “weed economy”.

I think it’s the type of thing that even if you’ve never tried it before, if you smoke a lot of weed, it’s absolutely worth considering the blind purchase. Never having to inhale smoke again was enough for me, but the entire experience is to me way better with a vaporizer.

Thanks for all the info Dobe. I think I will like the vape, I told wife last night I wanted one for Xmas so we’ll see lol. ✌️

I got a couple of enormous early fans on my Blue Treacle Auto (in soil). Makes tucking them easier :).

Roots are doing well. With more of them starting to come out now I am gong to take the nutes up from 400ppm to 600ppm this weekend. PH is holding well.

Nice roots Sam, looking at your bucket it looks to have a lot more air going in it from the looks of the top of the solution. I hope I can use my pump.✌️
 
Update on the White Widow. I topped her yesterday just above the 4th node and took off the bottom 2 nodes and fans. The reservoir was changed this morning. 650ppm and PH 5.85. Tent temps are 72-80 (higher than I would like). Reservoir is AN 3 part with Z7.

This is the way I wished I could have cared for the other plants that are in the tent now when they were at this stage. They are much easier to get control over and start training. So far so good with the DWC experiment. The growth rate is fast and that is what I have been looking for. She doesn't drink much at this stage and I only added 1/2 gallon all last week. The roots are expanding quickly.

I didn't take pictures of the big tent as not much has changed there. I did install my 6" filter and exaction fan. I took the 4" fan/filter down and set it up to force air into the tent floor to further aid in cooling while providing circulation on under the canopy. I used ocilating fans for that last 2 grows and I think the cool fresh air will be more beneficial overall. Tent max temps dropped 8 degrees to the mid-high 70's at the peak. This should go down as the ground starts to cool and the basement isn't so hot with the furnace running down there. RH is low down there with it averaging about 42%. That is ok for the flowering girls but not so hot for the DWC but it beats being the other way.
 
I forgot to put the timeline on the WW so here it is.

Seed started soaking on the 12th.
The 15th she was above ground (barely).
The 19th she had sprouted enough to go in the tent under the led’s still in a solo cup.
The 22nd I put her in the hydroton in the bucket.
On the 3rd of November she got topped.

So 23 days from splash down in the seed soak overnight until yesterday.

The chems are gonna be some stinky girls lol. I bought a Y fitting so I can hook filter into ac/heat exhaust that way I can send all the scrubbed air and heat outside.✌️

That is the way I planned mine out originally. I just had it exhausting outside the tent after I set the tent up and It never smelled as long as I kept the tent closed. It is great way to make sure there is no smell in the house. If mine gets smelly I will tie into it.

I am not pulling anyones chain. I am am a newbie at this. LOL I got lucky to have East coast and Chris doing this at the same time so I was able to mooch off all the information being discussed.

I think that Vegging is the easy part. When they have massive roots and are drinking a lot in flower is where things get more complex. I dubbed this as a learning grow so my expectations are set accordingly.

I will try to quad this girl. I just want to flip her early to get her to coincide with the later flowering girls in the big tent. Once all that is done I want to run a 2 bucket DWC in the big tent with Chendawg and Gorilla Glue if I can pull this first WW off.

Yea!!!! gotta love the stretch. It's the last bit of excitement before the long mundane period of flowering. I like the vegetative stage with how fast things change. The last weeks of flowering are cool to but there is not much going on for the rest of it. Just feed um and let them do their thing. Are you going to post an update of that tent now that they are flipped?

My sickly looking little Amnesia plant blew up on me. I thought the Amnesia was a slow growing long flowering strain. I should have flipped the tent long before I did. I was just trying to keep them all somewhat close in size. After a week on 12/12 they are getting big quick. Oh well as you stated these are the good problems to have. :D I look forward to your update. I know you have been very busy with school but it's not the same without the high level of Newty activity.
