Sam's Fall & Winter Grow 2018

Update on the main tent. It's getting crowded as flowering is starting. The canopy is at my upper thigh to almost my waist.

Conditions are 72-76F with the RH @ 40-46%. PPM's on the feed is at 800 total. 150tap + 100 CalMag + 550 AN coco bloom & Bud Ignitor.

Back left is the Sour Diesel, back right is the Blue Dream, front left is the Raspberry Cough and front right is the Amnesia Haze.

It's a jungle in there . Must seem so empty in the other tent!

It's not as bad as it looks from the top as the bottom 1/3 of the plants are stripped. I will thin them out next week or so once i switch their nutes to full on flowering.

The other tent just pissed me off today so I didn't take pics. I broke on of the 4th nodes trying to tie it down. The stems and leaves on that WW are so thick it just popped when I went to tie it down so now it is a triceratops instead of quad. I have never grown a WW nor have I done DWC but the stems and leaf growth is so dense and thick it is hard to work with when everything is so compact. Oh well. I said it was a learning experience and so I learned something today.

Awww your first tri :)
I’ve had more than just 1 tri-line LOL
Killer update, so cool to watch our blue dream and amnesia gals grow up together :D

They are actually looking pretty similar!

I knew that you had done it once but not several times... Lol You take all this stuff in stride. I could learn from that.

I am just surprised at the way the way the DWC plant is growing. The stems are thick/stiff, and the leaves are thick celled, rough and very corse to the touch.

The amnesia and sour D are getting very large. In am not impressed with the blue dream yet. I think it may just be the plant. It's not growing the way i think it should. That may change in flower.

They sure filled up the 4X4 in a hurry. I forgot how much they can stretch. It is fun to watch both our tents with the same strains.

I would say the same about my BD except maybe just wait a sec...

She’s been surprising me lately with her mutant fan leaves, so I’ll wait a few more weeks to decide. Both the blue dream and Amnesia are staaaanky so that’s good:)

Also you won’t even notice the missing limb. My most popular tri-line was dabbie! Remember dank and Dabbie my 4 ft tall cheese autos!! Lol well Dank was the quad and dabbie was the tri, guess who had the better yield?? #dabbie

Update on the DWC White Widow. So now she is a "tri" instead of a "quad" but dealing with only 3 legs albeit a little stunted as a result. I ran into a few snags (learning experiences) that I had to correct. She got a mag deficiency I cured that with CalMag. I ran into a PH issue that I think was related to having to use a lot of PH down. I measured how much I used in total and now I add that to the mix and let it find its equilibrium that seems to be working. The real issue that was baffling me was that the leaves were super thick and tacoing with super short (too short) node spacing. I had too much light and heat hitting the plant. I added another fan blowing into the tent vent from the outside and raised the lights. That ended up making the most difference and she seems to be getting back on track.

I switched over to GH flora series to try it since this is an experiment. The mix is GH trio in veg ratios with Z7 and CalMag totaling out to 700-720ppm. Res temps are 74-78 still and the tent temps are running 74-80f.

Be careful with additional calmag to the GH GH Flora Trio, I stopped after seeing overage of magnesium in my girls

Looks great though

I will keep an eye on it. I just switched it this evening. I have the same nute sheet that East coast has and it calls for CalMag in the DWC formula. I had to use it with the AN 3 part.

The biggest thing was the damn lights being too much for her early on. I use the same lights with the coco girls but they are about a foot difference away from them because of the bucket height. I have to keep in mind that I do not have much headroom in this tent with the bucket so she will not be vegging forever. I will probably flip her at thanksgiving if she keeps going the way she is now.

Looks damn happy to me!

What did your mag overage look like?

If I remember correctly it was very lime green veins and leafs on top

Once I stopped with the calmag it never came back or continued

I was using , I think, extra calmag from my Hempy grows at the time, so was probably a combo of that as well
